Main thing about new xbox s is the ultra 4k disc drive. removing it ruins to much and xbox digital doesn't have good sales.
also you cannot use 360 discs to play your games you have to buy them which is more annoying since most 360 games are less than 5 usd now

I can't imagine it will since you can get an S with a game for the same price as a SAD. $150 with a year of Gold and Game Pass was the right price point for the SAD and they blew it.

I really suggest looking up locally rather than places like amazon. Got an Xbox one X, Xbox Elite Controller, and 3 games for 350 from someone through offerup.

I mainly use it for backwards compatibility and Xbox game pass since its basically free 200 games thanks to all the trail codes you can find EVERYWHERE on the internet.

Options for consumers. If I have a kid who only wants to play Fortnite and Minecraft I’ll buy them this. They don’t give a shit about old Xbox games anyway. Microsoft seems to be really into diversifying their consumer base. They have 4 Xbox Ones and are releasing their games and services to the Switch and PC. They get the money anyway so who cares what console you buy Cuphead or Halo for. Unless you are a Microsoft bootlicker who only like a a game if it’s exclusive it’s a win for everyone.
