It depends on when the game is taking place. Mother brain was utterly destroyed in Super Metroid, so unless there are more Chozo mother brains out there, I don’t see it happening.

Open world but on a plant that has biodomes/bioms. Getting to the biodome would be would be up to you on how you get there and the order but some would require a skill or item... Not to sure if that makes sense.

I do when Nintendo separates to the two as two series that's part of one big franchise. Metroid is the main series, Metroid Prime is the subseries within the main series that expands the universe. Sakamoto and Tanabe are different in mindset, Sakamoto is more willing to make a return to the series even it fails on his watch, Tanabe, on the other hand, would kill Prime if it doesn't meet his standards. Sakamoto and Nintendo can't make Tanabe make a Prime game if he doesn't want to, if he doesn't want one made, it's not getting made. That's how Metroid and Metroid Prime works in Nintendo.
