Whatcha been playing bros?
Comfy Switch Thread
Star Allies is comfy as fuck.
comfy is just a code word for boring desu
Yoshis crafted world.
Persona5
No.
Wargroove and Dragon marked for death, tough a friend just got monster hunter world on pc so I´ve been away from the switch these days
Heres my Rating
Fake Switch Pro Controller >8bitdo Sn30 pro G>Joycons>8 Bit do adapter with PS4>8bit do adapter with Xbox one
Been playing Zodiac Age and Devil Engine. Waiting on physical for Our World is Ended.
Cuphead and Sonic Mania today. Going to work in a bit. What should I play when I get back Yea Forums?
Smash and Let's go Pikachu!
Good to see someone else find out the fake Switch controllers are ironically as good as the real deal. The only difference is that the Switch controllers come with a higher quality charging cable than the bootleg counterpart, and of course no Switch logo.
this masterpiece. think i'm nearing the end so just collectable hunting right now
How is Nintendo customer service? The speakers on my Switch started getting fuzzy at higher volume last month and it's extremely annoying that something so expensive is practically unplayable in handheld. Will they fix it?
Eh, I haven't tried the original Pro controller however for mine the Gyroscope a bit iffy. Not unusable but sometimes its just tilts left without even turning the controller. Other than that its great.
I regret getting the snes Sn30 over the gameboy one. I play 90% games using the dpad these days and prefer the gameboy.
Depends on where you are. NoA is normally pretty good with fixing issues like that and getting your system back to you within two weeks, but I've heard that it's a lot worse in other places.
Did 8bitdo ever release the Game Boy Pro Controller with the grips? That looked awesome
The SNES D-pad is great. I had an original SNES controller, its feels very similar. I don't think it was abd choice
It got delayed twice. From fall 2018 to March... and now to summer
I'd imagine the 8bitdo dpads are pretty similar on both models. I was more just talking about the texture on the game boy one.
>masterpiece
Um yikes
I should probably get on that. Would you remove joycons/cartridge/memory card and just send in the thing itself?
Been really into ffxii. It's amazing how being able to play an RPG in bed makes it so much more appealing to me. Theres so much in the game that I'm kind of baffled they went from this to XIII
Where the fuck are all the RPGs? This is supposed to be my 3DS replacement damn it. I need new RPGs
Got skyrim last week. Starting it as soon as I finish my current games (pokemon white and a total warhammer 2 run)
How do I spoof an animbo for the link costume?
Is FFXII worth fucking $50
I've only played XV because I never got into the FF series when I was younger
NOTHING. FUCKING NOTHING. IVE OWNED THIS SHIT FOR 2 YEARS AND ALL I HAVE IS SMASH, IF ANIMAL CROSSING FAILS IM SELLING IT FOR A PS4.
I cant believe i bought a fucking phone game simulator. I spent 2 hours on the eshop to be fucked over by endless rpg indie shit shovelware. All the classics i enjoy like DK tropical freeze and bayonetta are 50 bucks while their counter wii-u parts are only 10 bucks.
What a pathetic console
Played a bit of this Now I'll play this one for now
So excited for Mario Maker 2. Definitely gonna be a download game rather than physical
Playing Shakedown Hawaii, having fun with that.
Nothing. My wife plays Zelda. Wish I never bought it.
Cuphead, Tetris 99 and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. Lots of fun these past weeks with these games.
Thinking of getting Stardew Valley is it worth it?
Finally started LEGO DC Super Villains last night, been awhile since I've gotten/played one
What's the bottom controller called?
Gamesir. I wanted for a my phone, however horrible input lag
Thinking of picking up Ape Out along with Cuphead, is it worth buying?
Anyone else have problems with their joysticks going haywire and moving on their own?
So like, can this console actually handle real games? Seems like everything made for this thing is some 2 dollar steam game made from rpg maker.
What happened to beautiful scenario games like mario galaxy, windwaker, pikmin, hell even subpar games nobody cares about (Tak, billy the egghatcher, warioworld, starfox assault) At least when you bought a game back then it was worth the money paid.
FFX I got XII too but I guess buying both was stupid, since I'm just playing 10 atm.
What's the one on the left next to Brave Dungeon?
We know. You say that in every single thread.
Picross S3
I fucking hate mega picross. Finished ''normal'' picross, color is almost done, and in the clip section I have 4 ot ouf 5 pics finished, but mega... I will never understand that.
>Game comes out
>Is respectful to its predecessors
>Touts the same ideas
>Has a lot of edits to its gameplay but still the same core experience
>Even has stuff to accomodate older players who aren't used to certain things
>It is new therefore hated
Yes when it's docked and out of sight, the controllers got a shit range, never had this with my consoles since the 360.
Me it disconnects sometimes and moves on its own. Joycons are made from shitty materials
Ema Sakura says nice things to you and you stare at her sexy jobs and 10 second clips. I can't recommend it. The Shogi game on the Jap eshop is much more engaging, at least you get to play nip chess and unlock jogs if you let the girls cheat a little.
>jobs
Fucking jpeg
Recently I've been playing some Splatoon 2. I'm trying to get used to the motion controls but so far I'm doing fine. I also bought Overwhelm after seeing the trailer and so far it's pretty fun
You guys think Sakura Wars will end up on Switch or not? It doesn't seem too taxing graphics wise, but the Yakuza producer seems to have a hateboner for Nintendo, especially since Yakuza 1+2 flopped on Wii U.
Get a job and buy some games. It's not Nintendo's fault you're a lazy dumbass.
"Buy some games"
Give me a fucking option first! Literally like 4 decent games on this shit console that dont look like rpgmaker indieshit or weeb games.
Lots of shmups/run&guns, the switch is fantastic for them. An user recommended wild guns reloaded yesterday and I've been playing a bunch of that with a pokken controller. Any other fun arcade releases that went under the radar?
Steamworld Quest
Is this worth it? I can't decide between this and Smash
ebay has it for 40. its worth that price, not 60
tales of vesperia
i havent played a tales game since symphonia on gc, getting a lot of nostalgic vibes
just got the boat, story isnt totally engaging yet. does it get more interesting? seems like stuff just keeps happening at random
if you have friends to play couch multiplayer? yes, very fun
Best mario party in a long time. Only four boards for the main mode, but there are also four 2v2 boards and some extra modes like a co-op river run. I'd say it's well worth it, I play it weekly with friends (or my family when they visit) and still enjoy it every time.
what games should i get on my hacked switch? been neglecting it for a while. last thing i played was baba is you which was pretty nice
wargroove is fun.
looks cool, i'll check it out thanks
Between this and smash get smash its way more fun
Link me a hacking guide. I need free games.
>can't even google basic shit
I'm lazy. Link that shit.
>think I'm safe from releases this month because Summer is always the slowest time for vidya
>Psikyo Collection Vol. 3
>Psikyo Library Vol. 1 & 2
>Battle Garegga Limited Edition for PS4
>Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary
>Raiden V
>Hollow Knight Physical
>Lumines Remastered Physical
Fuck this month is going to burn a hole in my wallet.
I love my Switch and will love it even more once Metroid 5 releases on it
To state the obvious, Mario Party really is one of those "it's only fun with friends" kind of games. Get it only if you already own Smash, and even then, get it on eBay for $40.
Gonna get paid tomorrow and plan to get a switch. Recommend me some stuff, games or peripherals.
Once I get it, I'll be a fully-fledged idort with literally everything (3DS, PS1-4, Xbox One X, PC, VR, PSP)
octopath is mega comfy, especially going to the snowy places.
Gonna shill my previous post but has anyone played Ape Out?
I don't know your tastes user to be able to recommend games.
How is the OST treating you user?
pay $40 for sx pro
play every switch game
no guide needed
Both Blaster Master Zero games, Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack (1 and 2, Mighty Gunvolt Burst is good too), Magical Drop III
Fuck these things.
>Magical Drop III
Yesss, get all that Neo Geo love. Actually, hold on for SamSho titles, there's a collection coming soon-ish. I think it's done by Eclipse so it might be better to get the ACA but we'll see.
Be quiet about battle garegga. I want my chance at it.
Having a lot of fun with Gunbirds 2, beautiful spritework and one of the most addictive shmups I’ve tried.a Thanks to the user that was recommending it last thread, might buy the other Psikyo games soon too
I'm finishing Tales of Vesperia, but I'm nit enjoying it that much desu. I'll be playing Yoshi's Crafted World next while I wait for A Hat in Time.
I'm interested in some eShop games, which one of these should I play while I wait for AHIT?
>Momodora
>Friends of Ringo Ichigawa
>Ape Out
Civ 6 has been fun once you get used to playing on controller since there’s some things the game just doesn’t tell you about its controls.
But god damn the version is so out of date compared to PC, it’s like Firaxis just doesn’t give a fuck.
I have real problems sitting down and actually playing my Switch and I don't know why. It never used to be like this with the DS.
Didn't they say they were going to bring the expansions over to it too?
Tried a few practice runs on Dice dude in Cuphead, just to see what it was like and what I should equip. This might be the first boss to be kind of annoying, given the retry load isn't immediate like all the others. Still a pretty great game though.
Is it worth 40$?
No. Buy digital and then order pic related.
Shakedown Hawaii, Civ 6 and Dragon's Dogma. Waiting for RE 1 and RE 0.
Can anyone recommend me FF12? I have never play it.
What do my nintenbros expect to see from the E3?
Personally I want a release date on Bayo 3 and at least a trailer on Metroid Prime 4
>a trailer on Metroid Prime 4
The game literally started development a few months ago. Not gonna happen.
and yet you only own 1 out of those 4
maybe you should buy some games user?
I think it's too soon to expect anything for MP4 after the whole restarting announcement in January.
>Celeste on sale for £12
Thoughts on it?
Buy if you like platformers.
Uniornically expecting Pikimn. Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Mario Maker it's also going to be shown though some of them are probably just going to be tree-house,
I expect a new Mario Kart announced this year or the next.
is octopath traveler worth finishing i have my whole party around Lv40 and it's starting to really drag.
I’ve been playing Rayman Legends, but I just realized I already had that game for the PS4 through PS+. Oh well, at least it only cost $20 at Target.
Worth a buy in my opinion, I really enjoyed the game, the various bonus levels / B sides really enhances its replay value as well.
Oh fuck is it on sale? I wanted to get it on switch but not enough to buy it again at full price.
Game's great, music's pretty neat, platforming is fun and you just go back to the start of the screen when you inevitably die so it's never too frustrating, and it's got a bunch of challenge levels and shit.
Why exactly won't they do a Snes virtual console and upload old titles?
>People actually believe this.
Whatever, fag.
FFX HD is pretty comfy so far. I've never played it before. Early 2000's games sure loved beaches and summer.
Have you already unlocked the secret jobs?
What do you mean by “fake Switch Pro Controller”? Do you mean the Power A ones or an actual knock off?
not high enough level to fight enemies in the secret job shrines, aren't they Lv50?
Magical Drop 3 is on switch? Nice that's my favorite puzzle game. Thanks for the info user, would never have known that otherwise. I recommend you check another Puzzle game: Money Puzzle Exchanger. It's kinda like Magical Drop and it's really fun
So is Metroid Prime trilogy coming to switch or not? only port I want
Am I the only one enjoying SNK Collection? I'm loving those games. Unironically having way more fun with this than BotW. I especially love Psycho Soldier, Ikari 2 and Chrystalis is awesome!
Actual Unlicensed knock of.
Reportedly it's made in the same factory as the real one, but without NFC, HD Rumble and a worse Gyro
Should I get Astral Chain or Control? They both come out around the same time but I only want to get one, of course I'll get the other game at some point but I wanna get one atm
Yes.
Only Metal Slug and KoF are timeless. Its not like the others are bad, but you gotta really love them to keep playing them.
80 hours into XC2, having a lot of fun especially now that Rex just became a master driver
>Want to get Tropical Freeze because it's one of my favorite Wii U games and platformers
>Go to Amazon
>60 American U.S dollars
>Fuck that shit
Anyway, enjoying World of Final Fantasy Maxima, gonna grab Cuphead, VA-11 HALL-A for the next weeks
Give me something to replace splatoon2 since it's coming to an end and I probably won't play anymore once splatfests and updates quit
Hopefully something as fast paced, doesn't have to be a shooter but no farming simulator shit
Is Va11-Ha11a any good? Looks kind of interesting
I don't care what the majority thinks is timeless lol.
Anyway I haven't played retro games in a while and I enjoy how hard they are and how much you can do with simple mechanics. That being said neither of the games you mentioned are in the collection unfortunately; it's basically an arcade collection. I got it for 30 euro and it has cool costumizabilties and options and also extra artwork and rare images and stories that are cool.
nice user, I forgot I bought this until you posted it
if you insist on grinding up to the 'recommended' level each area, no wonder you're not having fun. strategize and break the game, faggot
>not using headphones anyway
You can break the game?
I installed surround sound just for bomberman, pleb
I suggest Fast RMX if you enjoy F-Zero or Wipeout. Not sure if people still play online though
>"damage limiter off" passive skill equipped
>magic attack up on cyrus
>magic defense down on boss
>divine scholar skill focuses multi-target attack onto single enemy
>cast whatever your best spell is
>60k damage
mix and match accordingly. the only hard boss is the secret/final one after you beat the game
these things really are fucking bullshit
Yakuza Dangan For The Nintendo Switch
Trying to unlock Mad Dog of Shimano style but Club Mercedes is being a bitch
How was that Armored Core game? forgot the name
>playing on legend difficulty
>three of them
>first two rounds are shit hands even with redraws
Why do they have so much health and give themselves defense buffs and damage shields?
Super Mario 64
beat cuphead yesterday after playing it on and off, finished first bitterblack isle from dragon dogma after 70+ hours
about to start shakedown hawaii to take a break from dd
Daemon X Machina?
The framerate in the demo wasn't good, and some things were kinda clunky. It felt pretty nice once you got drops move faster though. Also, the full game is supposed to have online co-op, but that wasn't available in the demo. Hopefully the devs really focus on fixing the issues people wrote about in the survey.
>being such a cuck you're jealous of a child's toy
Where do you get the fake pro controller?
i hope they release at least one more demo at e3
the only demo we got was really really super old, like literally first build shit. they actually got more advanced demo for other events but they send out the most basic one because it was the most stable at the time
yeah that one. Thanks
It's supposed to be releasing this year, right?
later summer or fall i can't remember specifically but yeah 2019
I don't think they set a specific release date, but it's meant to be summer. I'm guessing around august.
Isn't that around when Astral Chain is releasing?
second half of 2019 is pretty fucking packed
but yeah astral chain is a surprise from platinum, aug 24
I've actually taken a break for a few days after beating FFX on the remaster, but now my copy of XII is here so after work I'm gonna start that. Then my plan is to play it, Builders, and Ace Attorney Trilogy until I finish them, then I'm gonna play Labyrinth of Refrain.
What vidya should I buy besides Smash, Breath of the Wild, and Bayo 2? I have a gaymen PC so no multiplats plz
>FFXII is £45
Sometimes...
It's SE, just wait for a couple months, don't give in
I learn my lesson after i paid for the x-x2 remaster collection back in ps3 day, and then it drop price to half not even 2 months later. fucking SE
I'll will wait then.
Mario + Rabbids, it goes on sale often and is seriously one of the most well-optimized games for the console. Golf Story is a fun cheap little golfing RPG with a good sense of humor. If you enjoyed exploring in BoTW then Mario Odyssey is a fuckload more of that.
Aliexpress for 20
I have. I think the idea and the game it self is fun. Ape murdering people with FREE FORM JAZZ while everything looks like a jazz album cover. The gameplay can get a bit challenging at times even on normal mode so that’s a plus for me.
The only thing that irks me is that the dynamic soundtrack gimmick it was trying to shill doesn’t feel all too there. But I’m only at the second stage so who knows.
nothing cuz it has no games
I went on that difficulty too thinking that I’d build and tweak decks depending on fights, but crafting cards cost a lot more than I expected and difficulty isn’t constant
not even that, you have basically three rounds to kill them before they explode, and you can barely kill one after the buffs and depending on draws
I really don’t know why they didn’t think about that
how is that game?
Hard to recommend game without knowing what you are into bud. But yeah for other stuff I would recommend getting a second charger, another controller if you wish. And DEFINITELY a screen protector. Check out the ones that prevent reflection I can’t stress hard enough on how useful that shit is.
I'm trying to get KOS-MOS in XC2
That guy makes me feel like a genuinely successful individual.
>Typical Switch user
Cook serve delicious 2 is the best food game ever made and is becoming one of my all time favorite games.
>I'll will
I assume they expected you to kill one or two and tank the rest of the damage.
I think they should lower the cost of crafting cards just to encourage more experimenting earlier on. Upgrading cards also seems too expensive when it's something such as +15% healing on something that already does 350% of magic healing. The high cost for upgrades prolonging buffs, debuffs, and status ailments seems fair though considering how effective they are.
>All i have is smash.
Nigger get beter taste in games. Theres tons of great indie games on the store. Also get oddessey you idiot.
Any port of a big game seems to suck. Doesn't look good.
Can anyone recommend a comfy walking simulator/exploration game from the eShop? Preferably low or limited combat or stress
>no rumbles
Yikes.
>Cant decide between smash and mario party.
It's good, really great style. It is a Vn though, just to let you know
Just finished The Way. It's pretty comfy with some puzzle sections.
Layers of Fear.
Do VNs count?
Yes but I already own va-11 ha11a
Yea. Its fucking great. I beat it in maybe 3 or so hours. But once you get good you can probably get through it in one. The style is so damn cool and the gameplay is real snappy so its fun to go back to occasionally. So even though its short, it makes up fornit by being really replayable. Its absolutely worth it.
I've only played the first level so far, but it's a nice side story if you enjoyed the Batman trilogy, and they finally got Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill for it. This time they make character creation part of the story so you can make some silly shit and get minor interactions with the villains
O fuck
You have to be 18 to post here
>soinyfag absolutely SEETHING
Damn I didn't know they got Conroy and Hamill for it
My copy of Umihara Kawase Fresh arrived so I've been playing that. It's neat! I'm shit at it though.
Been tempted to grab Va11ha11a or whatever it's called.
Yeah, it was a major selling point after Batman 2 and 3 didn't have them, but then had some actors like Clancy Brown (who returns again in this) reprise their roles from the animated universe. Even Greg Cipes voices Beast Boy despite them still not getting the voice of Cyborg from Teen Titans/Go
>literally everything
You don't have a Vita listed.
>inb4 weebshit
But you have a 3DS?
>60 American U.S dollars
Boy, am I glad I have a Wii U. Got it for 12 bucks.
>bought X-2 on the Vita for 40 bucks
>has been on sale for
>want to by Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles remake when it comes out
>supposed to come out later this year
>still no release date given
This sucks.
Overall I’m really impressed with the game and the blend of rpg and card mechanics, it’s really difficult to find that balance
I still think Slay the Spire is better
It doesn't have games that suit me
I beat Dark Souls Remastered not too long ago. Owned the OG edition on Steam but never managed to get into it. Breddy gud game not as hard as I thought it would be but still challenging
boy am I glad I hacked my switch. got it for free
I played DS on the Switch for the first time too, I also tried it in other consoles but never got into it. and now is one of my favorite games ever, also played and beated Demons Souls Which was great too. Can't wait to try BB and DS sequels.
My right joycon's control stick sometimes starts moving on its own. Annoying as fuck, and I'll be damned if I buy a replacement.
If I import a Japanese physical copy of Va-11 Hall-a will it have English on the cart like some other imports?
Think we will get other DaS games on Switch?
Please God, please please please.
finally beat TSA and had a blast, i really hope nmh3 happens. With college ending and haveing a busy summer I probably wont use it much for a while, maybe work on xenoblade 2 or lets go on flights. Otherwise itll sit in my room until that new platinum game comes out.
I think it's odd they didn't put in a way to save decks.
spray some electrical contact cleaner under the rubber skirt into the analogs and it'll help fix joycon drift. you'll probably need to do it more than once but its been a very effective solution for me at least.
Are there any Switch games that have that early-00s or late-90s Saturday morning anime vibe? Games like Megaman Legends, Solatorobo, and Gunbarich fit that aesthetic. The Level-5 games seems to be ones that come close.
I'd love this.
Is Celeste worth $20?
it's already a thing
I got splatoon 2 after playing during the free week a while ago and I'm addicted to it. Have gotten 150 hours in it since then. Got to S in rainmaker and zones and A+ in CB and tower.
The World Ends With You, maybe.
why you fuckin lying?
Is the game worth getting if you aren't gonna play online?
I played Megaman Battle Network on my switch a few days ago
I'd lean towards no, the online is the primary focus.
Definitely not, I would say. There is meaty single player content if you add octo expansion but it's not worth the full price plus DLC cost just for that.
Only if you're getting it free
No unless you can get seven other people with their own Switch and copy of the game to play with locally and frequently.
I am, actually. Enough single player content to justify getting it for free and playing offline?
just because you hacked your console doesn't mean the game is available, faggot
There's about 15 hours worth of singleplayer so yeah
Single player is fun but like 5-7 hours. Get the Octo Expansion for some top TOP tier single player action
it's available if you try, bitch
Should I get Dragon's Dogma or FFX?
Getting my switch tomorrow!
FFX is two games technically, but DDDA is 20 bucks cheaper.
I played TWEWY on both the DS and the Switch. It was great, but it doesn't fit the style I'm looking.
They're very different games so that's probably entirely a matter of taste. I would say Dragon's Dogma is the better game, but I wouldn't personally want to play it on switch.
Also, is it strange even though I have several things more powerful than the switch, I end up using the Switch more because of the versatility?
switch is comfy
I hope you got one you can hack
Playing Splatoon for now, just finished the main campaign for Boxboy, still not sure what I should get next. I was thinking either Cuphead or Bayonetta 2, but i've never played a Bayonetta game before so I'm not sure what to expect
Like I'll start playing a game on TV, but if I have to go somewhere and I'm not driving I really like that I can just pick it up and now that console game is portable. This is pretty much what 8 year old me imagined a future game boy to be.
Dragon Quest Builders?
Not really. Going from couch to bed or from house to train without much compromise is great. The Switch needs massive improvements to its online features before it can be called great. It's also building up a nice library of games rather quickly.
I'd play Bayo1 first. Comes with most copies of Bayo2 anyway so you might as well.
>Dragon's Dogma
Biggest fucking meme game. I will never understand why it's hyped up. It's boring as shit.
What do you do if you don't give a shit about indies
Evaluate why a game's budget is of importance to you. Also, play Nintendo games and ports of games you wants to play again or never played in the first place.
Yeah, it reminds me of Blue Dragon with its chibi Toriyama characters. How much better is the sequel?
Has a lot more features most importantly online multiplayer and more vertical space to build. They've been patching the JP version a lot, so it should be good when it finally gets released worldwide.
Hack the switch and don't pay for anything
Do you still have to use a paperclip if you have the og model or is there a better solution yet?
Jigs are still required for initial hacking. After it's hacked you can use autorcm to force the switch into RCM mode if it ever turns off
Fuck off zoomer
Been playing Puyo Puyo Champions/E-sports
It's pretty fun for being basic Puyo
Sushi Striker
I've been using it as a Fortnite machine despite buying lots of other games and never playing them. Send help.
Based 13 year old
I'll send an execution squad hang tight
>Only four boards for the main mode, but there are also four 2v2 boards
I still wonder why they didn't go full on Mario Kart and add in some retro boards from previous games. I don't follow the series so closely , but don't they do that with some minigmes already?
I bought taiko a while a go and wasn’t sure of it at first. Now I think I’m addicted.
Thinking about buying Phoenix Wright trilogy once summer starts
It's been collecting dust. Nintendo should at least port the wiiU Zelda games over. I've gotten real bored of the current library. I've been playing my 3DS a lot more lately
Do I get Dragon's Dogma for the Switch or PC?
Pros of Switch
>handheld
Pros of PC
>60 FPS
Do you get your indie games physically or digitally ?
Shakedown Hawaii is for alpha dogs
never felt sorry for a cartoon before
This is an awkward question for Indies specifically, because some don't get a physical release untill well after the fact, and some more only get limited release, so really, it's more in an on-the-spot decision depending on what's available to me, but I do prefer physical to save on console storage space and because I like the process of having amassing a physical collection
Emulating Fate/Extra in RetroArch
Some minigames seem similar to older ones from what I've seen
The sooner the better. Then I can trade those in and buy them for my Switch
Always physical for anything unless it only exists digital or it would be utterly retarded to buy it physical thanks to scalpers in the case of Darius Cozmic Collection and R-Type Dimensions.
Digital everything except bigger releases
Just more convenient for me, especially in a situation where someone wants to play something together right away
I can just hand off a joycon and instantly play Cuphead/Mario Party/MK8 together
I don't even have a wiiU and I want to play windwaker, twilight princess and skyward sword as I haven't played any of them
I usually only get big games that I've been clambering for physically. The $15 indie title that I didn't know existed until moments ago are when I go digital.
Anyone have Odallus? I heard they finally fixed the controls in the latest update, is this true?
If you're not utterly tanking the FPS with absurd magic overkill then you're not playing Dragon's Dogma.
I would say I'm pretty similar to this. If I am buying a first party game in general I'll usually go for physical. When I buy indies or games on sale on a whim it's usually digital because sales are better/more frequent. The only Indie titles I own physically are Shantae, Cave Story and The End is Nigh. My Library in general is pretty evenly split between Physical and Digital, both at around 18 games.
>Be at prom
>Everyone is wearing formal outfits
>one guy shows up with a GAP hoodie and a donkey kong switch carry case
>He is sitting at his table playing switch
That's fucking based
Would you say that it's worth the ten bucks? I have never played a Puyo game before but it looks fun and I have a friend who is getting it and is pretty into it.
Just bought Deemo. Played the Last Recital on Vita for a good +20 hours so getting the Switch version was a no brainer with almost triple the amount of songs.
>3 final fantasy games
XII is just really damn addicting
Hope you can someday. If they don't bring those games over at any point I would just get a used Wii U and buy them
he could just not go to prom
How does it compare to X and X-2?
I bought both remasters, but I personally like 12 more than X. Which is saying alot for me, as I fucking love X.
Not until they add the tutorial mode.
2 different kinds of games so frankly its hard to compare. I feel X has the best turn-based system in an FF game but FFXII is just so open. I've rushed playthroughs of it before and never thoroughly explored the world. It's really comfy (but slow) if you dont use the fast forward button
Unironically going to buy RE4 again. Off the top of my head this might be the sixth time. I can't really think of so many titles I can run through repeatedly without any diminished enthusiasm. it's such a great game.
>Supporting Capcoms shitty Switch business practices
I really want to experience RE4 too but fuck that. Fuck Capcom.
It's not Capcom in general you dunce. All the ports on switch are expensive, even Nintendo ones
>Already finished Odyssey/BotW/Bayo 2
>No interest in Smash
>Only other game I have that I enjoy is Puyo Tetris but thats also on PC
Honestly thinking about selling mine for $200 to Gaystop cause I really need the cash and just waiting for the revisions. At worst they never come and I am out $200, but by the time the next game I care about (Pokemon) comes out I should be in a better spot financially
Would you recommend DoAx3 scarlet on switch?
Absolutely, wife and I both love it, been dragging my feet on buying her a switch hoping for a hardware update, but the chance at multiplayer has got me shelling out for it this weekend. Comfy as fuck, and way nicer on break at work or in bed than on PC. 10/10 would farm again
>Actually defending Capcom
You're the reason they keep doing this shit
Is Switch version going to have gyro controls? Only reason I'd consider getting again.
>everybody else does it
>BUT MUH CAPCOM
Nintendo, Square Enix, and THQ Nordic recently sold ports of decades old games on Switch for double the price. I'm not defending Capcom you nigger
Those games are either or totally;
>Released physically
>Released at the same price as other systems
>Enhanced
RE1, 0 and 4 are $10 on other platforms. $30 on Switch. Digital only.
You didn't even check at all, not even the classic FF ports. I'm done here
0 is physical. Also, those games were $20 each when they first released on PS4 and PC. Still shitty of Capcom to charge $10 more for each for no reason though.
Crash-N Sane trilogy.
1 is okay but really fucky
2 is flawed but has some absolute GOAT platforming
3 is 50% good levels and 50% extremely boring levels and I couldn't be asked to finish it.
holy shit cringe
If it's anything like the Revelaitons port they fucked up, it might have gyro controls but be exclusive to joycons, i.e. no pro controller gyro support for whatever reason.
WHYYYYYYYYYY THE FUCK ARE THESES SWITCH CONTROLLERS ALWAYS GARBAGE?!
THIS IS MY THIRD ONE AND ITS LAREADY STARTING TO FUCK UP AND START GHOSTING(where characters or aiming reticles start moving on their own continuously)!
Switch has been out for almost 2 years and this is pathetic on nintendos part that these controllers kinks haven't been worked out by now and i know they are aware of it casue its a well known issue.
I dont feel like dropping another 70 bucks for another pair of joycons
I honestly don't know how people are able to use gyro pro-controller effectively so it's fine by me.
It just feels awkward as fuck moving a typical controller around like that while it's a lot more natural to me for what is essentially two wiimotes. Any tips adjusting?
Been playing Sonic Mania again, as well as Sonic Forces which is bad but enjoyable. Just got Genso Wanderer so I'm gonna give that a shot. And I finished Hollow Knight a few days ago.
Just do teh wd-40 fix
Not even kidding this actually fixed mine
Minecraft with the Beyond The Lands texture pack. Dirt house with campfires is extremely comfy.
will do,but this shit is still sad its an issue when i have owned nintendo consoles since NES and never had this issue with any of their controllers till the switch
Don’t do it user, what if you can’t afford $360 when Pokémon comes out
is it your first time playing it?
Been playing pic related and Bayonetta recently. Very fun games.
Do you think we'll get a sale for the week of E3 ;_;? I just want to buy some digital games
I hope A Hat in Time is taking so long because they're making sure the port is perfect.
Super Punch-Out (arcade) fucking when Hamster
The original arcade game is amazing with the Flip Grip but Super is a much better game
Yeah same here. It's disappointing.
Yeah, I had a Playstation but only ever got Tigger's Honey Hunt and 5 fucking Tomb Raider games.
Man, can you believe Tomb Raider used to be the equivalent of Asscreed back in the day?
What's the best third-party controller that actually keeps the gyro and HD rumble? Are there even any?
I played this on my psp back in the day. It's fun, but short and I expected naked low resolution pics for beating the game, was dissapoint.
Nintendo traditionally has an eShop sale during E3, yes.
It's not the first time they've had controller issues.
I don't think any 3rd party controllers can use HD rumble. I use the sn30 pro which has gyro but you might want to wait for the pro+ to come out.
Vanilla Minecraft like a pleb
I got a pretty cool world to generate and I've been having fun with it, haven't really played since 2014
fug, I really like HD Rumble but really don't want to spend $80 on a Pro Controller
>mfw I use the Joy-cons in my Flip-grip when playing docked because the normal controller grip is way too small for my massive burger hands
What is it with the Switch's most glaring hardware flaws easily being fixed by the most ghetto ass solutions
>just stick some foam in the dock
>just put some tape in the pro controller
>just WD-40 the Joy-cons
Like Nintendo are you even trying
your hands are not massive you retarded american, they're average.
obsessed
I fucking love Bayonetta 2, I can just put some music on and die attempting to finish the last Witch Trial for hours and still have fun. I still fucking suck ass, but one day perhaps I won't and can do some cool shit.
Might pick up Celeste and play through that again, and Katana Zero looks fun too.
I should finish playing through Mania again, I played through maybe half of it a couple weeks back. I was trying to get more of the Chaos Emeralds but I just suck ass at the bonus stages.
Bayonetta 2 price drop fucking when
Even the method of hacking it is ghetto
>just stick a paper clip in it
Never.
At least it's not as bad as Dong Freeze because you're getting two games with it. Dong Freeze should have came with a port of Returns imo.
Hows the current situation with homebrew and emulators? I was incredibly tempted to paperclip my switch due to that OpenRCT2 port coming out a few days ago, but the emulator performance looks like they're going to be incredibly rough if you're not dualbooting linux on it.
It is so damn easy to make your games pay for themselves as a Switchfag. Thank fuck Switch titles usually retain or appreciate in value, especially the limited run games.
Reminder to get Tiny Metal to scratch that Advance Wars itch instead of Tumblr Groove:
Dude they're $55 at Wal-Mart unless you're a fucking leaf or some shit.
w-whats wrong with wargroove? i was planning on buying it.
Anybody interested in some puyo puyo champions?
I'm bad at even finding the emerald minigame. I'm at the end and I've only found 4 of them. This is the first time I've went back to it since release though.
I don't think I found too many of them myself either but I don't remember too well, by the time I manage to beat all the ones I can find I'll probably have found more, well hopefully at least.
Boy I'm glad I hacked my Wii, Wii U, and Switch, and 3DS.
Stardew is fun if you into sim city type games especially with a couple friends in co op
>desu
stop
zoom zoom
Thinking of getting Rayman Legends for switch, it's about 26 bucks new.
I wanted it for both my wii u and vitaq and never got to play it lol.
I would love to get Doom on Switch but still being $40 when you can get the other versions for under $10 on sale is ridiculous.
What are the chances of an Ultimate Alliance Edition console?
It's an absolutely solid fucking platformer.
Worst case scenario if you're really tepid on it, wait a month for the E3 sale.
How's Fire Emblem Warriors?
well, 26 bucks is already cheap enough, and I always preferred physical over digital, but yeah, may buy it if it goes as low as 20 bucks.
It usually goes on sale for lower than that on the eshop.
You can find it for $20 or less used on eBay.
fucking this. playing smash has fucked my left joycon, now sometimes while holding down on the stick, my characters still end up doing Up-Bs
Literally the only characters not from Awakening, Fates, and Shadow Dragon are Lyn and Celica.
Besides that it's fine.
>playing smash with joycons
I've been playing and loving Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
I really hope they release the Apollo Justice Trilogy on switch too! (And maybe Phoenix in Smash with a Miles echo idk)
Finally got around to getting Katana Zero and Cuphead and having a great time with both. Everything on the front row has been in pretty heavy rotation, taking my time going through mania’s encore mode and FFVII. Someday when I find the motivation I’ll go back to BOTW and finish the dlc and max my inventory. I still go back and play other games in my library here and there but I’m really invested in the top row.
I got enough games to hold me off and keep me entertained for a while. I’m on the fence about CTR, TSR.
Hyped for new SamSho and patiently waiting for Link’s Awakening DX. My next purchase will probably be Sword but that may change depending on what Nintendo shows in their E3 direct. Either way I’m happy with my switch.
Good musou that incorporates some elements of strategy from FE like the weapon triangle and commanding your units (they can actually get shit done). It's brought down by a poor roster but I enjoyed it anyway.
How is the port of N-Sane trilogy
Physical for first party and big releases
Digital for indies, or eshop only ports like okami. I’m considering getting team sonic racing and CTR digitally. Hopefully the spyro trillogy if it ever comes to switch as well. I used to be physical only but with the switch I’ve started to see merit to digital, ease of access and portability
Mostly good, but it has some noticeable drawbacks.
The biggest is the lack of any kind of fur shaders, Crash and Coco look fine but some of the other animal characters look pretty wonky. The resolution is also pretty low, 720p docked and 480p portable.
As far as framerate goes though, it's solid.
What an absolute chad.
Been making my way through encore mode. I’ve managed to find at least one or two special rings in each zone but haven’t been able to get a single chaos emerald. Gonna do a mania run with mighty and ray once I clear encore and get the emeralds there.
Unironically one of the best musous in the genre
>clone movesets but all the movesets are good, well, most are
>shitloads of content between the story mode and the History Mode reliving parts of FE titles
>can actually direct your AI companions to do things and they will actually do things
>weapon triangle and stat niches/advantages(e.g. pegasus knights having lances to take on all the sword guys and high res to shit on mages) adds some rudimentary strategy to picking who goes into battle with you
>advantages/disadvantages encourages constantly switching up and rapid macromanaging tactics
>can switch between the characters you bring onto the field and pair them up for big combo attacks
Storywise it's kinda eh. Basically just a setup for a crossover, then they staple parts of Awakening and Fates into it, then they remember they have to put Marth in it somewhere. But seeing them recreating different FE game scenes with the FE cast(e.g. for FE7, Marth and Chrom take the place of Eliwood and Hector) and just all the myriad FE references in general is fun.
>azure reflections
>then puyopuyo champions
>then diablo III
>was going to play splatoon but got tired
>about 8 hours into xenoblade chronicles 2 but the current BotW thread makes me want to buy it's DLC and play NOW instead
fuck
seconding money puzzle exchanger
How're the Switch ports of Strike Suit Zero and Sphinx & the Cursed Mummy?
Started our world is ended, it has million boob jokes already. I don't mind that much, can see how some people gave some criticism about that. Tomokazu sugita saying perverted things is always a delight though
I would say Monster Boy is the closest to what you want. I would also wait for Mineko's Night Market and Songbird Symphony.
You now understand why it took over 2 decades for the Gameboy to be retired
From 1986 to 2007
Convenience transcends all
Is it just male robin and female corrin or do the opposites meet each other?
Does anyone else almost exclusively use their Switch in handheld mode? The only games I ever use docked for are when the handheld performance is noticeably worse like XB2 and Hyrule Warriors.
>Virgin prom fag
Dressed up
Uncomfortable
Not having fun
Will keep his virginity til he’s past his 30s
Boring
>The chad Gap hoodie
Doesn’t give a fuck about Prom
Dressed comfortably still looks best in show
Didn’t even pay for prom just walked in
Not even trying to impress still steals your girl and the Prom Queen
I use it in handheld when I commute to work or travel on trains, busses, airports. At home I usually play docked on my TV but sometimes I’ll have the TV on for background noise or music and be playing in handheld mode. I guess it depends on what I’m in the mood for
Male Robin and Female Corrin are the main stars, since they're the more popular versions, and male Robin shows up whenever they need a tactician in History mode, but female Robin does make an appearance as Grima in the Awakening history modes, and male Corrin is the star of most of Fates' history modes(with female Corrin making an occasional appearance).
They get over having an opposite gender counterpart from another dimension pretty quickly for what that's worth.
It’s obviously rushed out user
Hi Liam
When the FUCK is Virtua Racing coming to the US eShop
Wargroove is years better than Tinny Metal.
Probably some time in June, it took Phantasy Star two months to come over to the west too.
Never used it in docked mode ever, I dont even have a screen anyway
I have no idea why it takes them so long to release Sega Ages in the west. They're already fully in English.
>Sega Genesis Collection on Switch has mediocre emulation but it's cheap and has a lot of games
>Sega AGES has god-tier emulation from the gods at M2 with a ton of bonus goodies but it's $8 a pop
Why can't you just give me a good middle ground Sega
That's not that much considering 7 of those would equal the price of one first party game
The bigger problem with Sega AGES is that it comes out at an agonizingly slow rate.
I mean I appreciate how much work goes into them but still, it'd be nice if we could just get all the Genesis Sonic games in one go for like $25
Who is this semen demon
>Sega Genesis Collection on Switch has mediocre emulation
Can you explain?
What are the best wireless headphones that work with the Switch?
I want to take a pic of my games, but you can't fit them all on one pic. Feels bad.
can't it pair bluetooth?
Honestly I have no idea what the status is for that. Last I checked the capability was for stuff that came with a USB dongle that you'd plug into the dock. Just wondering what people on Yea Forums were using.
There's no bluetooth natively, but there are decent peripherals now for adding it.
I use Sony WH-CH700Ns. Normally wireless but they have an optional audio cable which I use for my Switch.
If I really wanted to use them wirelessly though, I'd probably look into something like this: amazon.com
Sony/Playstation headsets work perfectly, ironically. Just plug the dongle into the USB port, volume controls accessed in-game just by holding down the home menu, braindead as fuck.
Been playing Xenoblade chronicles 2, actually really fucking enjoy it a lot. I always imagine that I wouldn't like the combo but I do, I don't like the character all too much, but perhaps its my humor, especially since it's targeted towards anime fans of sorts, and it really doesn't kick in for me, I just love the combat at least.
Just got a switch, Should I buy Bayonetta 2 or Splatoon 2 this week when I get paid?
To answer OP, Odyssey, but probably gonna play Octopath soon.
Splatoon 2 so you can at least catch the last scheduled splatfests. Bayonetta 2 is great but a multiplayer game is only worth as much as people playing it.
I do not get Octopath.
Is it really just 8, not related, barely ok tier stories? Like, you'd think they would put in more effort on that side considering the gameplay is bland as fuck.
>Splatoon 2 so you can at least catch the last scheduled splatfests
What's that? Like it's all going to end?
I honestly really never played turn based rpgs besides FFVII. I got it for free and I think it's fun but got nothing to compare it to.
Is hacking a switch retardproof? Can you actually go pirate without a silly dongle?
>Physical for first party and big releases
>Digital for indies, or eshop only ports like okami.
this all day
Well it's not going to shut down but the big community events where everybody picks a side on something inane like waffles vs pancakes and settle internet arguments with guns are reaching the end.
so, can you play 64 games in this already or what?
Boy we ain't even gotten anything on SNES ports and you're already going on about N64 games
I use a pair of Beats Solo 2 that my dad gave me paired with one of these: amazon.com
Does the trick perfectly handheld and docked.
Holy fucking based
Am I supposed to hate him? Because he's the best character
But, are they even planning to do it? I mean the fucking wii had them
I want Zelda ports on Switch.
I've been playing Waiting for Animal Crossing but it's such a grind. When does it get good?
Just got 5 stars on my profile in Super Luigi bros, didn't even play as that green cuck and opted for completing it as Blue toad. Im also trying to get 999 Power moons on Odyssey but between the volleyball minigame and the Hidden art power moons its going terrible.
It gets good during E3
got the homespot like the other user and using the same headphones as you. pretty good set up
Not him but I feel input delay in the collection and I'm sure it has other issues like incorrect sound since it probably uses the same emulator across all games rather than fine tuning each game individually. I couldn't really be bothered to play anything other than sonic after feeling the lag.
I wanna play Katana Zero and Cuphead as well, but I'm waiting for physical releases.
How's enter the gungeon's controls on handheld mode? Might get it for down time on a trip
The stick position and size is too weird for me in gungeon and Nuclear Throne. Have no problem with the pro.
Ah yeah that's a thing I hadn't considered. I played the katamari demo, but it felt really off and that might've been why.
Yeah I really only play ganes that don't require the right stick in portable.
Another person playing XII in bed! God, without the 4x speed, it's no wonder I gave up after the forest dragon when I played this back on the PS2.
But grinding while watching shit is such a nice feeling!
