Where quests such as "Retrieve this corpse's bones" supposed to despawn upon collection and not respawn for 5 minutes? I honestly don't know which part is vanilla and which part is broken in LH
Warlocks scale better with gear, but have a pretty boring rotation in raids (shadow bolt spam). They are a lot of fun to level though and juggling mobs with pet, fear, and dots is really entertaining. Curses, stones, and summons give you a lot of group utility. Also free mount at 40 let’s you invest more into your professions without worry (such as tailoring for the shadowweave set). You’ll need to farm soul shards which can either be a pain or part of the class flavor.
Hunter has a pretty fun rhythm based play style. Weaving in your abilities between auto attack is pretty fun and engaging (you’ll benefit a lot from a swing timer addon). You can solo incredibly well and are the best leveler. Your pet is much stronger than the warlocks especially with the standard hunter leveling spec. There are a lot of beasts to tame with different abilities and some rares that might be worth camping if you min max. You’ll lose a bag slot to an ammo pouch, but it’s the same for locks with their soul shards. Hunters don’t scale that well with gear in vanilla.
I’ll be going warlock myself. I have a lot of fun stacking dots and prefer casters in general. The free mount is a really nice perk at 40. They also get a ton of class quests for their demons and some pretty awesome items like the instant mana free voidwalker summon trinket. The level 60 mount isn’t free, but it’s pretty awesome quest chain regardless.
Low level rouge is hell.

It's not that bad once you get riposte. Also gouge is great since with improved gouge you can first aid a lot longer during it. Just gotta get that energy bar addon so you start every fight with 120 energy.

Depends on faction and what class you aware up against. With all their cool downs rogue is probably best one on one. With stealth you will be the one to get the jump on others, plus rogues have a number of different ways to reset the fight. Ally warlocks have a harder time since half the horde population ends up being undead. Wotf and trinket give a lot of time being immune to fear. Rogues generally do really well against clothies and there will be a lot of undead rogues.

Nope he's totally misguided with that post. Druids can do the typical farms (aoe or dungeon) in heal spec. Crushing blows literally do not matter as druid hp offsets the damage. They can survive giant hits off hp alone. MCP druids > t3 fury warrior TPS, at the start of raid progression. HOTW resto druid is great for pve and pvp no respec required. Moonglow druids also can obliterate people.

Once you look past all the overdone Barrens memes, Horde has some pretty good leveling. They have a lot more stuff to do in that troll city in Hinterlands, Undead leveling zones have great atmosphere and lore even if questing exclusively there isn't a good idea, and doing all those quests for Nathanos Blightcaller in EPL is comfy

BRD is S tier, Gnomer should be B tier. BFD needs to be moved up to B tier. Wailing Caverns needs to be D tier. Everything else is fine. Zul Farrak also needs to be moved down to A tier at most. SFK is in a good spot same with scholo and Strat-UD/Living

They tried with adding shit like towers in EPL but I don't think they ever took off big. Later you had that town in Nagrand, some towers in Terrokar (?) and the whole raid in WotLK. There's also been the resource collecting crap in Silithus which I don't think anyone bothered.
People were far more likely to fight for gold and loot, more things like Arena chest or some resource spawn (herbs, veins) would help.
if it was my ship to steer, i would have scrapped dishonor kills, instanced bg's, and the honor system altogether. would have made towns/cities in level 40+ zones capturable by the other faction (light's hope, grom gol etc), put all the npc's in happy camps until they reclaimed it.
i also would have deleted all of the pve servers, not called them pvp servers, and instead just make people deal with it or leave. lastly, killing a player with at least 80% of the damage done by a player would give him an adrenaline buff, increasing movement, attack and regen speed for 10 minutes.
There are no words to describe how much of a fucking dweeb one would have to be to think like this, yet i'm positive retail cucks do.
I think that's mostly Blizzard's fault for making that kinda shit less rewarding to do.

Alliance has the upper hand Id say. Kalimdor feels kind of unfinished, with weird level transitiond and a lot of empty space. EK is more dense and thus better in general. Doesnt really matter though, since both will hit a wall around level 42-43 where youll have to go around the world for quests on all factions. Felwood, Badlands, Swamp of Sorrows, Un'Goro and Feralas just lack stuff to do.

No. You have to wait for autos, you don't have meaningful instants. While a warrior can just jump right in and get 2 sunders/HS before you've even swung a second time. You're listing a bear's weakness as a strength. You're retarded.

Horde has a smoother questing experience, while Alliance is full of awkward gaps even in the early levels.
Kalimdor feels unfinished if you're an Alliance player because they've got almost nothing to do there. Alliance really got the shaft with Ashenvale, Stonetalon and Feralas for example despite being important places for the Night Elves.. Horde also has a lot more to do in Hillsbrad, Arathi, Hinterlands, Badlands, Swamp of Sorrows, and even Stranglethorn.

You'll see one of the 2-3 Druids always either has a bunch of tanking shit on, or a mishmash because of a buggy parse, in which case you check their item history to find both tanking and healing gear. Their spec is usually listed as Resto, but it's a Feral/Resto hybrid without a 31-point talent in either tree.
SM would be worth doing if it were two wings. As it is half the classes have no reason to do Armory more than once, and the other half have no reason to do Library more than once. Both wings are also just a massive trash grind to get to the last boss.

I know. I had a feral druid tank in my guild. He wasn't optimal, but it worked out all right. The most important thing was he was consistently always there for raid night, so he always got the invite.

So you can actually ignore using Crowd Pummeler entirely if you tell the DPS to stay light on the aggro.

You trade this all for a little less surviability due to no big chungus cooldowns like shieldwall and last stand.
Feral Tanking requires more attention, but can squeeze more out of tanking. It's why top Warrior tanks are pushing into Fury tanking, which copies Feral Tanking.
They are created from just druids being in your raid, Feral tanks share two pieces of gear with prot warriors (ring & neck) and that's really if you are trying to max out. Otherwise, every piece of gear they use isn't shared by a single other class.

Hunters are good dps in molten core, and ok dps in bwl but they fall off really quickly and in aq40/naxx they are subpar and only really brought to soak up the hunter gear, so tranq shot and because their aura compensates a little bit for lost dps
They are still needed as I mentioned but yeah, their dps isn't the greatest later on (still better than the hybrid classes though)
Druids can do lashers and aoe world elementals easily even in heal spec. They do trib runs and mara as well but in HOTW spec.

Why are DPS Warriors the biggest fucking babies? All throughout WoW I've always encountered DPS Warriors threatening to g-quit if they didn't get the weapon they wanted.
To add to this, they stay great in PvP throughout vanilla. Fun to play with in PvE as well compared to most DPS classes.

Is it true that if you don't rush to 60 you'll be fucked? I've seen it posted a number of times on Yea Forums. I want to try classic but I won't be able to rush through it because it will be my first "real" WoW experience and general time constraints.
We had a boomkin in our raid groups. He did alright, granted it was a private server. He was never going to top the charts, but with enough gear he was a solid middle of the pack dps, provided the fight ended before his mana ran out (he was allowed to keep his innervate for himself).
mage will be just as popular if not moreso once all the warrior washouts reroll. It's not easy to level, and MANY people will get discouraged leveling.
just be a good player and people will check their friends for a tank and pm you. overpopulation only applies to dps, not tanks. tanks will always be in demand if you're not a retard. be good=have groups
warrior, priest, and mage will all be very very common
boar just for leveling and pvp, eats everything, charge instantly engages target and stuns it for 1 second.
for pve wolf gives nice extra attack aoe buff every 10 seconds so its good also for leveling and at 60 when it becomes completely useless you will bind its howl to buff your aimed shot. Also top asthetics.
Theres also ligthning breath alternatives but it's ehh...
There are tons of priests and mages too, fury warrior is common but I mean it's not that bad
And in instances you can tank and tell people you are rolling as dps, will be super easy to get into groups that way (tanks are always super wanted)

Honestly the amount of hours it takes to make gold will not make it work anymore. If you played through WoD and Legion you'll easily have a few million gold. Thing is blizzard knows this and is now trying to drain gold out of the economy. If you pick up WoW in BFA like I did you'll realize that it's fucking hard to make gold again outside of buying on Friday/Saturday and selling on Tuesday nights. The easy facebook mission gold was pruned, so you either have to farm, do professions, or farm for transmog gear that can sell for a lot. If you have 3 friends that are good and wellgeared, you can sell M+10 runs too.
t. got into BFA with some friends a couple months ago, basically quit out of boredom but I took some time to try to make gold for tokens to pay for my future Classic sub.

Pre-raid they are, if you discard the fact that they are 0 stamina
You reach hit cap on yellow hits (abilities) pretty quickly, at least as rogue (who gets +5% hit from talents), but hit is still useful for white hits (crit is almost twice as good though as the stat applies to both white and yellow hits unless you are critcapped which you aren't)
So yeah hit will always help you somewhat even after hitcap
But if you have some alternative shoulders then I can look at them and compare them if you want

Don't worry about the DPS, you'll dumpster casters until they pass you in AQ. It's a really nice class.

Druids and hunters are super popular classes in retail.
It would not surprise me at all if their populations in classic end up higher than normal on that merit alone.

Mages are literal insectoids only capable of the most basic thoughts, kill mobs and drink. They are a cancerous blight upon the land, taking over quest areas with dense mob packs since they are popular mage breeding grounds. The mage virus is a cannibalistic one as well. Mages fighting 'crashing' each other in these areas to gain reproductive and food rights.
The private server I was on had a pretty similar community from what I experienced. People don't change that much.
This will go exactly like what went with all those "quake revival"-esque games that came out due to plea of "hardcore gamers" saying how they miss quake and whatnot. It's all nostalgia and rose tinted glasses.
Karazhan would fit perfectly as a new 10 man dungeon, i would add it after Naxx though, in some 1.13 like patch
Speaking of 10 man dungeons, i hope they add Strah & Scolo 10 man, keep people used to 10 man dungeons, i think 5 man dungeons dropping so good gear was a mistake, it let in power creep too quickly

though I personally feel, that 99% of the decisions I make would follow the spirit of classic wow 100%, i.e. absolutely avoid the things I have listed before and only add content / items / class rebalance.
So avoid:

>anything that dilutes horde vs. alliance flavor (like shamans / paladins switching)
>separation of pve and pvp
>too easy / fast modes of transportation
>too much streamlining in general etc.
do:
>add more content (without destroying lore)
>add more items to fill gaps (i.e. gear for certain specs)
>make every spec viable, while keeping the spirit of the class in mind
