Because LRs, especially free ones as good as this are supposed to be a rare luxury in this game. To counter-balance their greatness there always needs to be an absurd amount time investment or difficulty in awakening them. It is getting a bit silly though since there are over 30 of them now and they can hardly be considered rare anymore but that is still the reason why.

I have the Gohan rainbowed and he's fucking terrible, mediocre links and even when he crits he does 1.5 million at most.

Try bringing Movie Heroes categories characters and do Z-Hard.

Then get two Gokus and a Goten dupe.
The last two paths are not worth it, and since these cards are in all banners, you'll eventually pull more dupes.

EZA Broly has terrible links. Like LR Broly he is only good for farming the WT.

I unironically want to summon on this banner more then I wanto to summon on the anniversary. I want the LR! I want TEQ Vegito dupes! I want the new Gohan!
I have over 1000 stones saved but I just can't bring myself to go beyond the first round.
Every summon I do without the coins hurts like crud even if it's something I want.
And when we finally have the coins, this unit won't show up for another century on global. Meanwhile it will show up and return on JP already with the coins, with better featured units and probably awakenings for the INT Goten and TEQ Trunks or something like they did with Hit.

Two month old player, now at 0 stones after doing the multi steps once. I could probably manage to find 150 stones through doing the boss rushes or the EZA or story or something but then I'm sort of cutting into the stone count on the anniversary. How long does it generally take festival units to come back?

look, i am assuming you are a new player so heres an advice.

farm for the int goku jr, he is getting an eza down the line and he is pretty alright, so 100% one goku junior and have another one with the sa up to level 5 so you can use him for training and later on to reach sa 15 on your eza gid goku.

Also farm for the gt frieza and cell in the other dragonball gt event they are great f2p units.

and most important of all farm for the agl kid goku in his both DB events, later he will get an event to turn him into an lr.

also, if you are wondering if a character can have its sa raised without using kais look for them in the wiki, one of his forms might be associated with another character for possible sa raise.

SS3 bardock is pretty fucking good. so is agl giant ape bardock when you lack the teq one.

oh, and the agl counter vegeta. i use him every now and them on my agl team.

every other unit is also decent as fodder units for the first levels of battlefield.

also, if you dont ahve the int bardock the agl one destroys on the ss3 vegeta eza and is quite tanky for a number of round on many events and even sbr if you lack other units.

i also believe some R gohan you get from the bojack event got an UR in japan and is now a really good unit if conditions are met, even though he has a bunch.

Anniversary is probably a better time to start but that's not till June/July. If you can't wait then here's my opinion. First choices are circled but definitely the Gohan+Goten over Vegeta.

If you are tired of rerolling then I'd argue any of the other three are ok to start. PHY Gohan you can farm the DBS Broly and Goku Blood Ruby event for potentially strong free units. STR Gohan you could buy the EZA Gohan and Goten from Baba shop. Vegito you just run whatever for now with the colors but I'd probably place that last place.

Number 1 thing is if you get dupes of SSRs DO NOT feed them to each other for SA. Save it for the potential system.

Beerus and Champa bicker but they have a pretty well defined relationship. That being said I wouldn't be surprised if Jiren and El Hermano made it on later. Vegeta has conditional cards where his relationship with Tarble is enough to include him, so it could be like that for later characters.
