How do they do this...

How do they do this? Every year it's higher and higher despite the player numbers slightly dropping over the past two years.

You don't nerd players when you have whales.

games trash now.

This battlepas is a shitty excuse for contnet. Not buying and I'm advising everyone else to do the same.

Nothing majorly new has been added to the game. So once again its just another cash grab.

the redditor panics and feels the urge to spend more when he sees the sales are down

chink ti

They are raising the bar for new cosmetic shit they put into the game each time, as they have to when facing declining players and increasing records to meet.

Now that the door is open for cosmetics being full re-skins we will see even wilder shit next year.

Inflation

you can make profit of it

inflation is kept really low now, almost reaching deflation

>the player numbers slightly dropping over the past two years.

It started rising up again and beating out PUBG as the most played game on Steam, stay deluded though.

That's extremely debatable.

how?

>most jewish battlepass yet
>most successful too

im glad i quit

Are you talking about the Auto Chess spike?

Valve fans are retarded shit-eaters.

because chinese don't use the steam client to play pubg anymore

christ what is it about dota that makes people aggressively defend it even when no one is attacking it, you just look like retards

They knew how to get every possible audience this time
>Something cool looking (ES arcana)
>Something reddit meme tier (Axe)
>Something for pedos (Shota invoker)

Thay have a new avoid player function in the battle pass. You know, the one thing tons of people wanted in the game since years. So of course they throw money at Valve to use it ingame.

It went from 650K average players in 2016 to to 450K average players this year(exluding the two months of autochess spike that is going down again). So yes. It has been dropping slightly over the years although it stabilized at its current level recently.

If you spend over 1k hours in it you don't wnat others to tell you that you palyed a shit game and wasted your time with it.

not him.

but got 3k hours in dota, and i'm

Not saying that everyone is like that. I played if for over 2k hours myself but stoped during the first 7.xx patches since I just didn't find it fun anymore. Just an explenation why some go assmad over critizising the game.

Same. After the last ranked season I told myself I wanted to unistall since it just wasn't fun anymore. 7.0 really put a number on a lot of us who were playing for quite some time.

Too much bullshit was added to the game that made it broken and un-fun. Only now have i realised after 3 months of not playing it, have i seen the bullshit practices valve pulls with their battle pass.

And I just noticed I lied bout my playtime, found out I have 4k hours. I've seen a new generation come into this game. Thats how long ive played it for.

It's only because they are offering a 100 level pack to start off this year.
The numbers will end up lower unless they revert the stupid immortal recycling change.

They held it for a while this year to build up a big anticipation, then loads of people blow their load

The normalisation of gambling.
