Reminder that you can hack your 3.69/3.70 Vita now thanks to Trinity. With a hacked Vita you can use sd cards and say fuck off to Sony memory cards, unlock PSP side fully with a full working XMB thanks to Adrenaline, overclock your Vita for better performance in games, up the resolution of select games to run them in native resolution, use DS3 and 4 on regular Vita, duplicate the screen through the usb on PC, lots of homebrew programs and emulators both on native and PSP side etc.
Oh and you can pirate games from Sony servers.
Jump onto the hack train before Sony releases a new firmware. For more info go for wololo.net.
I hacked my vita a while ago now, i'm still on 3.60 with enso and haven't touched the scene since. What benefits are there to updating, and how can I do it (preferably without breaking enso)?
Caleb Ortiz
So there's video capture homebrew?
Zachary Ross
Is it even worth hacking if I already bough Persona 4 Golden Soul Sacrifice Delta Cold Steel 1 + 2 Gravity Rush Odin Sphere Muramasa ? Is there even anything else to play?
Eli Nguyen
It is if you can read moon which is also the prerequisite for buying a vita being worth it in the first place
James Rogers
Install qcma and after hacking Vitashell will let you use the memory card like a usb stick
Aiden Roberts
Freedom Wars
Luke Gomez
No, just update your hack, install some essential plugins from the Autoplugin program, like nonpdrm and such and if you liked the Freeshop on 3DS, install PKGj.
Ethan Gomez
Muv-Luv Utawarerumono Digimon Cyber Slut Danganronpa
Jack Wilson
Well I listed the reason to hack it on the OP. Like for your games, Cold Steel 1+2 and P4 has native res patches that makes the games look crisp as fuck and overclocking removes the momentary framedrops on Odin Sphere.
Logan Reyes
I just bought a Vita because of this news, I'm waiting for it to come in the mail, I'm pretty excited. I can't wait to play all those games. Obviously, I don't own one yet, but I've heard the Digimon games are great, and one of them on Vita is only ENG for CFW consoles.
Robert Mitchell
You did good user. Not only Vita has some good games if you never had a PS1 and PSP, you can explore their wast library of games. And if you know Japanese all three consoles have shit loads of games to play that never got attention or translation on the West.
Aiden Morales
UDCD USB find a tutorial on how to install it if you're not confident
I owned a PSP and PS1 as a kid, but I have a huge list for both I still really wanna play. I got a 2000 model, my 2DVita card is coming later so I'll probably mod it asap, install Patapon as I've always wanted to play it and just wait. Sadly I don't know Japanese, but the Vita has a surprising amount of ENG translated games already.
Nolan Green
doing all this shit is too fucking hard. Why can't we just run a program that does everything for us? QCMA is easy but then the instructions about decrypting shit are retarded. Fuck homebrew and fuck you.
Chase Stewart
Btw if Sony decides to be a dick and update the firmware before you can get your console don't panic. Since you will need an activated console with a PSP game/demo installed you will need to connect to internet and Sony servers.
212.47.229.76 this is the DNS you should set before doing anything on the console. If you don't set this DNS you can't activate or connect to PS Store in case of a new firmware from Sony.
Austin Cruz
>Cold Steel 1+2 and P4 has native res patches that makes the games look crisp as fuck how is the performance? the game is barely even running at times on default res
Jack Rodriguez
Thanks user, jotted it down. I literally bought it off ebay like, within an hour on the day of the 3.70 hack announcement, I've been saying for years that I wanted a Vita, and I don't want Sony ruining this. Though, with them developing the PS4 and how the Vita probably makes nothing for em currently, I doubt 3.71 will exist for a while.
Ayden Sanders
Use SilicaAndPina's psvimgtools-frontend instead of the regular one.
Xavier Roberts
Wait, so 3.60 enso is still the best place to be, or is there a way to get enso running on higher firmware now? The vitaguide on /hbg/ only mentions updating to 3.65 to use h-encore to just downgrade back to 3.60.
I've already got (likely outdated versions of) PKGj and probably NoNpDrm, but Autoplugin is new to me and seems awesome. Does it include whatever plugin I need to run 3.60+ firmware games? Cause I never figured out how you accomplish that, which made staying on 3.60 a bit annoying.
Caleb Allen
Granted I did not play too far ahead but Lolicon, the overclock plugin irons out any performance it has for a good measure for the first game. Your battery will run out faster though.
Carter Cruz
Yeah that still doesn't just do everything for me. It just throws out shit I have no idea what to do with. Modding my 3ds was way easier.
Kevin Ortiz
Yeah, that us the expectation but new games however few still has releases on Vita. Let's wait and see.
Christopher Ramirez
do I need to buy additional hardware to use SD cards on vita? What kind?
Jackson Cruz
>MuvLuv for vita What? Is it better than the steam version?
Aaron Barnes
>duplicate the screen through the usb on PC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cooper Adams
2DVita card, on ebay for literally like a dollar. Gotta be on CFW though.
Nicholas Davis
Physical vita games are so cheap now and the library is so small I don't myself bothering with this exploit anymore tbqh
John Long
Is Remote Play improved? Only reason to get it.
Jayden Butler
Yes, 3.60 is the best if your console can go that low and if not 3.65 is the one you should go for.
Yes, ref00d is the plugin that lets you run any game or app you want without firmware restrictions and Autoplugin has it.
Just stay on 3.60. In fact the Slim Vita I hacked few days ago was on 3.69 but after hacking I used modoru to go back to 3.60 since not only 3.60 has permanent CFW, exploting again is also easy since it can use the original Henkaku exploit which just needs wifi to function.
Jose Peterson
Yeah I give up. I already played and have all the vita games I like. Only thing I was interested in was reducing load times but all this softmod shit is confusing as fuck.
Lucas Williams
Meh, someone will automate the progress for the lazy. H-encore was also a like that before someone made a tool that reduced the process to few clicks.
Dylan Garcia
There’s a literal step by step guide lol.
Elijah Hall
sd2vita, buy it from Aliexpress for dirt cheap or but it from ebay.
Elijah Flores
It is extremely confusing. I don't even know what the hell I'm reading honestly.
Levi Taylor
I don't think so since it is more of a wi-fi chip issue than software one.
Caleb Foster
Awesome, it's a relief I barely have to update anything at all, just need to get Autoplugin and install anything that looks nice. Thanks for the info, my vita's probably get some more use now!
Retorarch covers 8bit and 16bit consoles and handhelds pretty good aside from a few. These are Super FX games on SNES and overall spotty performance of VBA-next core for GBA. For GBA use PSP side of GBA emulator and for Super FX stuff use N3DS if you have one.
Arcade stuff is great. Retroarch covers CPS1-2, Neogeo full speed. FBA is choosy but for example Snow Bros arcade runs perfect. You need to do trual and error for FBA.
For Amiga, Vita has Use4All2 that runs great. If you are interested in Amiga, use this one.
Retroarch has dosbox core that people use but I never tried.
Also there are source ports like Half-Life, Counter Strike, Quake 3, Quake Enemy Territory, Postal, Openbor etc. All good stuff.
Anthony Hall
Emulators for PSP.
Benjamin Rodriguez
My firmware is 3.70
Justin Murphy
Thanks for this m8, really helped a lot
Dylan Martin
DariusBurst says otherwise. Though to be honest, I bought a Vita not for the Vita library, but for the ability to play PSP/PSOne games at a better resolution + second stick.
Jack Hernandez
Check the channel He has simple guides for all fw
Gabriel Hernandez
>up the resolution of select games to run them in native resolution >P4 has native res patch Got a link to the native res plugin/patches? I haven't played P4G yet, but if I can make it look better, i'd love to know how
Robert Davis
>have 128 gb >feels like I downloaded everything worth playing in the entire Vita library
This is the plugin, but for easy configuration use Vitagrafix Configurator app. Get the latest versions of all these and follow the instructions, the rest is just using the Configurator on Vita and enjoy the benefits.
Nathaniel Sanders
play taiko and all the dlc
John Evans
I was already playing Mother 3 on my PS Vita back in 2012 fag
Seriously, all the hacks like rejuvenate and epsp stuff previous of henkaku was like beta testing for henkaku and later hacks.
Ryan Garcia
I'm not paying 150 bucks for that garbage, sorry, I got my laptop and cellphone for gaming on the go
Benjamin Fisher
Install the plugin, restart. In game press select + dpad up to open the menu. Do your shit, save the settings and press select + dpad down to close the menu. Easy pissy.
Cooper Clark
Yeah I'm still stuck on the decrypt shit. I did exactly as him and got a completely different screen while using power shell. I'm sure he skipped a step.
Evan Price
It was running perfectly smooth, on an OLED screen, it was great.
I'm curious, what more can you do after 7 years of "beta testing"?
Aaron Bailey
Post the video you are using
John Price
The best thing about Vita hacking is playing games at Native 540p
Persona 4 Golden looks a lot sharper
Samuel Morris
Too long to list user. Check the thread to read about them or to see some stuff in action there is a channel named Tech James that covers lots of hacking stuff on different platforms but generally for Vita.
Cooper Allen
I don't have a Vita but I've wanted one for a while just to hack it. If I were to connect my actual PSN profile to it and play pirated games what are the chances of getting banned? Am I fine as long as I don't play it online or what?
Kevin White
If you cheat on online games and tamper with throphy stuff, you are generally safe. There is no confirmed ban on Vita outsidt of some people installing an unreleased game on Vita nd syncing the trophy data of said game with their account. Still no one can say for sure if one day Sony will go after hacked consoles. They didn't for 3 years now but who knows.
Brayden Walker
Are you still going to get banned?
Leo Roberts
the stuff sony has a legal obligation to protect is infamously insecure I doubt their monitoring and security measures against the ps store and trophies are much better
Lincoln Bennett
For what? I made this thread few hours ago with same OP but got no replies. We got some discussion going on now.
Mason Cox
Piracy
Mason King
That's good for us then.
Nicholas Garcia
Alright I can hack my vita!! Now I can play all those games!! All those games!! ....all those games.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Xavier Bailey
I don't think so.
Gabriel Jones
I loved my psp and wanted a vita but honestly I don't see any exclusives making it worth
Noah Carter
youtube.com/watch?v=OH9ZkMqJ6MM I copy and paste psvimg-extract -K YOUR_KEY game/game.psvimg game_dec using my own key and nothing
So I've got a Vita on 3.61. Is it better to go for Trinity or is it recommended I use the older exploits?
Carter Morgan
I just want to play PSP and PS1 games on this thing. Never hacked a console before.
William Ross
adreanline job's a good'n
Lucas Gutierrez
So using cmd is better and I managed to do it but now it won't connect to QCMA after refresh.
Carter Torres
When you CFW it, Adrenaline is what you want. It's essentially a CFW for the PSP emulation. That's also what you run PS1 games through.
Josiah Hughes
Just did it last night mostly to hoard psp isos since I pretty much bought and played most vita games that interested me as they came out. Connecting to PC and playing it like that sounds pretty fuggin awesome though
Gavin Lewis
Update to 3.65 and use auto-h-encore. Then install enso so that the hack becomes permanent.
Robert Clark
What sort of emulators can the vita run?
Liam Williams
should i buy a vita
Brayden Gutierrez
retroarch so.. all of them?
Andrew Adams
One more question, can I play new games on 3.65 provided that I have enso installed?
Justin Robinson
It worked just using cmd over power shit. I'm copying my psp game back to the vita and next step should be to reboot the system and then run trinity I guess?
Chase Roberts
Installing Enso requires downgrading to 3.60, but the plugin ref00d lets you play all games regardless of required firmware So yes, with just a tad extra work
Christopher Miller
utawaremono isn't that on the ps4 too?
Jonathan Price
Someone inspired by Switch's dock made a dock for Vita using that plugin and a raspberry pi.
>up the resolution of select games to run them in native resolution What plugin do you use for that?
Dominic Edwards
Enso needs no downgrade user. It just makes the hack permanent. To do that though you need to be on 3.60 or 3.65. Thankfully you can downgrade your firmware now
Adam Cooper
Any reason to update to this? Hacked my Vita years ago and put it down after playing P4G.
Jason Jackson
see
Julian Baker
>Grzybojad
Mój ziomek
Owen Anderson
No, this is for people who were stuck on non hackable firmwares.
Ethan Hall
whats a vita?
Justin Perez
I'm on 3.60 with henkaku. Should I stick with henkaku or try this instead?
Carson Peterson
Guy tells me to downgrade to 3.60 now that I have henkaku. How do I do this? When do I do start playing with my vita at full power?
Henry Smith
Search for modoru the flow.
Isaac Evans
are you retarded?
Sebastian Wright
A handheld with a sexy as fuck d-pad that rivals others d-pads to be GOAT.
Chase Rodriguez
How do you turn on FTP in Vita shell?
Wyatt Moore
You don't. Press start on Vitashell and change the function of select button to USB.
Christian Cooper
Press start and you get an options menu, select button can be switched to go to either ftp or usb mode
Yeah I saw that. I don't know why dude wants me to use FTP in his video.
Julian Bailey
Hang in there, at least you have internet.
Mason Long
can I then use all these new features in the OP? I have a VitaTV by the way. what is h-encore and enso, what do they do?
Hunter Long
Trophyfag here. Is it safe to use this to play games I don't own and collect more trophies?
Jaxon Morris
Yes, as long as the game isn't unreleased >implying biba has any games coming
Aaron Davis
So accessing usb mode doesn't let me get into ux0 but rather VitaShell itself. How do I access it so that I can copy the firmware to teh MODORU folder ?
Ayden Morales
That's like the only good side of being a russian: cheap yet reliable and fast internet connection. But when it comes to buying hardware and consoles... A big OOF. Even used PS2 in bad condition is like 2-3x of US price.
h-encore is the name of 3.65 exploit. But this exploit is not permanent, you need to reinstall it on cold boots. enso is the name of the program that makes this hack permanent.
I doubt it will be a thing. Even PSP has a bigger chances of having that compared to Vita.
Get a hacked Switch for that.
Hudson Campbell
ftp
Juan Lewis
>homebrew = piracy Well better give every car owner a ticket for potentially speeding. The 2k vita has some legitimate improvement such as a registry change that greatly improves the colors Also FUCK paying that retarded vita memory pricing. You can buy games from the ps store and download them onto the sd2vita
Lucas Cruz
Oh fuck, I forgot to mention that. That improved the screen so much that fuck Sony for turning it off. It also made the screen feel more responsive even though it shouldn't. Let me explain; on unmodded slim Vita when you change screens fast, like holding the analog in one direction the screen gets blurry. On OLED one this doesn't happen. I have both an OLED and a Slim Vita, I tested them first hand. After that registry hack though that blurriness is gone or is unnoticeable now. I dunno why or how this happened but I am not complaining.
Liam Parker
So after doing this I like a retard went and tried to downgrade. I followed steps in the video and put stuff in the memory card and then rebooted to do the next step and all my vita did was erase everything on my memory card. lol fuck this shit.
Jordan Sullivan
wow I can't wait to play amazin games like pingo! Buying a Vita asap!
Oliver Walker
iu going to wait a few more years. i already have a bunch of vita games that i bought and i am going to try 100% these fucks before hacking it.
James Morales
Anyone have any idea how to fix the vita being unable to read saves after awhile? Every now and again during a long play session or putting the system to sleep will remove my saves and ability to save.
Dominic Russell
Been trying to get one for some time (since the hack was announced) but it's hard People on wallapop is fucking stupid I will end up buying one for 80€ on Game when the summer starts I hope they don't run out of them or a new firmware comes out
Christopher Bell
>new firmware comes out
I sincerely doubt it seeing as production of the system has fully ceased.
Justin Evans
couple questions
i've had my vita since launch. is it still worth it to hack it? i barely play it.
is the hack permanent, meaning if i turn the system on and off, will it still be there?
you just need a psp game right? i already have some bought.
do you need to get one of those stupid sd card adapters? or can you just put the sd card in?
Joshua Lee
That was an old issue thay was related with games dumping methods. Use nonpdrm dumps, they run as if they were bought from the store.
Dominic Brown
Maybe I will buy it now even if I don't have time to use it until summer Maybe some normie hack youtuber makes a video about the hack and someone will buy the only Vita they have at Game
I see, thanks man. I've been using maidumps all this time.
Jose Thomas
You underestimate the chance of Sony putting out a last minute fuck you firmware
William Lee
That depends on you.
Only on firmwares 3.60/3.65 it is permanent. Thankfully you can downgrade the firmware after hacking your current firmware.
PSP or mini game or demo.
Yes, you need sd2vita.
Oliver Lewis
>the library is so small It really isn't, but I understand if you aren't interested in many of the games.
Brayden Cruz
Wouldn't they have done it by now or has production not ceased quite yet? I was under the impression that Sony has been done with the vita for a bit now.
Ryan Wright
catherine, nigga
Andrew Phillips
6.61 for PSP came for 2015 and they somewhat recently released 4.84 on PS3. On PSP it did nothing to patch any exploits but on PS3 the firmware was released after HAN exploit. Let's hope Sony doesn't release a new firmware but it won't be a surprise if they do.
Ian White
every time I try to use a sd2vita, it causes problems. is there a good guide?
Josiah Thomas
If you wait too long you might not be able to hack it at all. That might happen even in a few days time, who knows.
Adrian Nguyen
I think the only people who really got banned were the ones that spoofed trophies.
Lucas Williams
okay. i want to do it then.
Jaxson Brown
Can't really fix the vulnerability until they're aware of what it is exactly, the exploit has only been live for ~2 days Just because it's out of production doesn't mean they'll stop releasing firmware
Lincoln Diaz
and where can i get sd2vita?
Luis Wood
he means in the games that are amazing and worth it.
use storagemgr and not gamesd.sdprx this fixed mine
Xavier Taylor
I wouldn't update if I were you. 3.60 is probably the best hacked firmware version..
Leo Scott
The difference is that Sony sees the PSP and the PS3 as a success. The Vita is something that Sony is trying to forget as quickly as possible.
Joshua Miller
there's a frontend that will automatically patch the game for you if that doesn't work out. after it's patched just put it back and check if the bubble changed. if it did, run it and you're all set.
David Sanchez
My Vita is fully updated, is it even possible to hack mine anymore?
Dylan Barnes
Read the goddamn OP. What is wrong with you people?
Jason Sanders
So 3.70 is latest? Will this work on the slim one too since I might just buy one
Also can this thing even charge from a powerbank, otherwise it's pointless
Fun thing, you can get a PS3 for PS2's price in Russia.
Lucas Young
>tfw actually called it cyber sluts in conversation one time
Noah Cooper
Thanks user, I'll look into it
Jason Reed
to bad the vita has no games its nice hardware
Luke Cooper
My Vita's charging port (1st version vita) is broken and it keeps disconnecting when I try connecting it to my PC :(
Thomas Morgan
>reading that's gay
Jace Robinson
Is 3.7 the newest update for Vita or something
Andrew Taylor
As of this moment, yes.
Charles Howard
Are there any risks in hacking the vita such as pan account being banned? Would it be safer to just use a alternate account for it at that point?
Christian Gray
no, fuck you. people like you shouldn't even use the internet
Jack Anderson
Yeah, that's what I do. I have one Vita with my real account that's hacked but with no pirated Vita games and another Vita with dummy account that I do all sort of stuff. Neither of them are banned.
Joseph Hughes
oh. nice
Jaxon Nguyen
Neat, too bad i only have one vita so I'd have to switch back and forth if I wanted to go to different accounts. But once I hack I guess theres no need to bother. Also do ps1 games count as psp for the exploit?
Joshua Foster
how's the overclocking? I was always content with just the safe full clocking to make games that didn't utilize it, well, utilize it. Is it dangerous at all?
Blake Green
they do not.
Brayden Mitchell
connect wirelessy.
Jose Jackson
Tales of Hearts R, Catherine Full Body, Danganronpa and some jap exclusive weebshit
Nicholas Brown
The original soc on Vita designed to run 2.0 ghz. Sony customized it and made it cap at 444 mhz but let devs use 333 mhz at most to get more battery life and less heat issues. The true overclocking caps at 500 mhz, after that increased clock speeds doesn't make the games run faster but slower instead. In theory 500 mhz should be safe since it is within the design of the soc but who knows what happens after a long time in continuous use. 444 mhz should be perfectly safe though.
Liam Barnes
3.60 for life. reminder that you can stream your steam games as long as you have an nvidia gpu and a shred of persistence.
There's no games worth the hacking process, same thing with Wii U or the PSP back then. Gaming is fucking dead
Luke Bell
So does hacking let me play all ps1 and psp along with vita games?
Joshua Hall
yes
Oliver Morales
well yeah the 444hz has been usable since forever, I was talking about 500mhz. I play for 6-7 hours at a time without stopping so I guess I'll stick with 444mhz. You should just fucking mention it's moonlight. Moonlight needs more exposure. Open source product that does what steamlink tries to do but even fucking better, with less input delay (now that they killed the steam link hardware anyway, which ALSO has a fucking moonlight client you can sideload)
Ayden Howard
Retarded question but can you still get trophies for hacked games?
Jose Hughes
My girlfriend has my hand held to play Tetris
Julian Campbell
Yes. You can even sync those.
Levi Adams
Tell me more about this
Jaxon Perry
>soft mod it to 3.70 >great I can finally run vita games overclocked >now downgrade the firmware? >why >because faggot! >it erases everything Fuck you niggers
Jacob Carter
how do you overclock on 3.70?
Colton Hill
you shouldn't be on 3.70 for more than a few minutes, trinity will likely be patched
John Howard
With the power of lolis. Lolicon yeah.
Anthony Anderson
What if I want to play old Tales of series, which was released in Japanese PS Store for PSP/Vita? Those it work in any way?
Cameron Smith
Yes, you can sync. Just don't do it for fucking titles that aren't publicly released yet. As in, if someone uploads a vpk or something for a beta/QA game, don't fucking go and sync the trophies, sony will know, and WILL ban your account. It's happened before. But, we've never ONCE seen someone use pirated games to sync trophies get banned.
Evan Lewis
>I want to install cfw so much >Vita 1000 >weird ass usb got cutted >Can't find replace
steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/1/1814296273137162419/ you download it, put the files as is on the root of a flash drive, plug the flash drive into the steam link, and you're good. It's mostly a novelty though, until the steam link software starts getting more features, the hardware is way way superior, and if you have a raspberry pi, moonlight is better than steam link's standalone client, but there's no reason to use moonlight on the steam link just yet besides the novelty of it.
Luke Diaz
>streamer fag
Jackson Gray
Steam link works well enough if you have one.
Brandon Thompson
The only issue I have with the Steam Link hardware is how it handles controllers. I know you can use the usb cloning software for like $8, but I'd rather it just come with that feature already
Leo Cox
Not sure I know what you mean by that. I have issues with it recognizing my dualshock 4, but I also play my ps4 really frequently so I imagine it's probably on me that it can't remember the pairing. I've never had issues with the controller itself though, steam's big picture mode is actually really REALLY good about giving you the ability to remap your controller to do whatever the fuck you want. It even emulates xinput saving you the trouble of using some shitty 3rd party malware garbage like motionjoy/ds4windows
Luke James
Weird. Steam link works perfect with Wii U pro, ds4 and Xbox one controllers natively for me
I guess what I have issue with more specifically is how I have issues when trying to play games that aren't through steam. I know you can add non steam games and that seems to work most of the time, but it doesn't always work for me. Especially with modded games or pirated games, but it could also be just some advanced setup that I haven't delved into yet
Dylan Robinson
Once I hack my vita can I switch psn accounts which deletes everything off my card and will it still be hacked?
Thomas Gomez
you have to install hankaku everything you reboot, unless you install enso
Nathaniel Clark
once you hack you can unlink the card so it can be used with any account
William Ramirez
I have no clue about PC native games but the problem you're running into (I'm 99% certain now that you're using a dualshock 4) is that when you have steam open, a dualshock 4 isn't it's own driver thing. It's funneled through steam, and an xinput controller. All your previously set up control plans won't work.
So like, I have snes9x set up for when I'm playing a game on my pc, with my controller. It's all set up, buttons are set up, joysticks are set up, deadzones, etc etc.
But when I have steam open, and try to open that again, it doesn't work, because it's emulating xinput with it's drivers for the dualshock 4, and I have to re-apply all the configurations again. I ahve to go and set up the buttons, and sticks, and deadzones, etc.
If it's something like that, sadly there's no way to fix it.
Blake Gray
Is that the new store front page?
Jordan Hill
yes
Adrian Lewis
Being able to use microSD cards is probably the best reason to hack your Vita
Have a hacked 3DS and Vita, 3DS sees way more use.
Anthony Williams
...
Jordan Adams
I have a 3.65 Vita that's unmodded because the thought of it not being a permanent install turned me off of it. What's this method like assuming it's any different?
Cameron Nguyen
Meant for
Justin Price
You can get permanent hax on 3.65, and have been able to for months.
Ryder Nelson
Not really. there's freedom wars, dragons crown, dungeon travelers 2, I guess. Going forward there may be more mods/translations/patches for games (there's currently english patches for TITS FC/SC, an english patch for puyo puyo tetris, uncensor patches/nude patches for SK and akiba strip, and I'm working on an english patch for valhalla knights 3 gold
Injections into the virtual console on a WiiU is a thing
Sebastian Ortiz
Accidentally hit submit. Besides the patches and getting a few more games (And admittedly, getting to try any game you may want to, for free) there's not a whole lot to it. Now, if you say you don't have a PSP, it's worth it just for emulation, as it's hands down, bar none the best emulation station on the market. It takes a fat shit on the 3"lmaoretroarch"ds
Mason Martinez
but there is a program that does everything for you, its called autoplugin
Jaxon Brown
Just downgrade to 3.60 for permanent then lol
reF00d takes care of any games needing higher version
Lincoln Bennett
I installed it and loli but nothing happens when I press select and up.
William Sanders
No you already got the good stuff. You can overclock and make all that shit run better though
Hunter Jones
I find that after I hack consoles, I never play them again You lose some of that joy Just buy a PC and pirate everything there
Connor Sanders
No it doesn’t. The 3DS’ SNES VC coupled with bubble2k’s Snes9x port can play nearly every SNES game under the sun. You can’t say the same about the RA Snes9x cores on Vita.
Everything else runs just as good if not better on 3DS. The Vita is stuck using speedhack-ridden GBA emulators via Adrenaline. Meanwhile, the 3DS plays GBA games natively with 1:1 accuracy.
David Garcia
i dont use it myself because i hate having extra bubbles but that means youre doing something wrong
Kayden Sanders
I install henkaku i install vitashell I get the programs and get autoplugin get loli the loli menu is stuck
Nicholas Kelly
this
James Johnson
the snes9x port that's been on psp for the better part of a decade plays SNES games perfectly as well. No one should ever use retroarch, on any platform. It's mednafen for zoomers. Fucking trash ass garbage that steals work from other devs and pretends it's decent because it jams them into some jack of all trades garbage wrapper.
>gba games natively with 1:1 accuracy oh no, muh accuracy. Literally less input delay running mother 3 through fucking adrenaline and a gpsp kai fork than injecting it on a gba. Eat a cock, the 3DS is a terrible, terrible emulation station. It also barely plays ps1 games, and doesn't play lots of other systems like MAME, pc engine. gl trying to play yokai dochuki fucker.
Jaxson Martin
You meant N3DS. Because the snes emulation on 3DS is on par with PSP and Vita while arcade emulation for example something simple like CPS1 on 3DS is non existent. On N3DS everything is dandy but no PS1 emulation since PS1 on PSP and Vita is like GBA on 3DS; it is not full software emulation so N3DS struggles with it.
Jayden Morales
Does hacking your vita and installing permanent cfw involve having to delete everything first and have you re install everything one by one? I want to hack my vitas but I had a shitton of games installed on my cards.
It also doesn't fuck with PSN in any way does it?
Owen Sanchez
It bans you psn account but you won't need it once you hack your system
Aiden Turner
What happens if I spoof a firmware that's not out
Dylan Perez
You will die
Ayden Smith
>Pirates games >Complains about stealing El oh el cocksucker. >the snes9x port on psp Has ZSNES-tier audio emulation and tons of incompatibility. It does not under any circumstances play SNES games perfectly. >Literally less input delay running mother 3 through fucking adrenaline and a gpsp kai fork than injecting it on a gba. Source or get the fuck out. >pc engine TemperPCE exists. >mame Runs fine through RA.
Quit being so pedantic, man. I mentioned the SNES VC so obviously I’m talking about the New 3DS. >PS1 That’s fair. Though I don’t care much for the console. Only system I care about from the 5th gen is Saturn since it has more glorious 2D games and less early 3D jankiness.
Jace Brown
>have to reinstall henkaku everytime gay af
Logan Jenkins
What program let's me download direct from Sony's servers?
Wyatt Miller
google it
Jaxson Hughes
Is there any input lag hooking it up to pc and playing off the display there? Or better yet hook up the vita direct to a tv and play using a ds4? If I can turn my old vita into a Switch 2 for Homebrew I might actually have a use for the damn thing for once in the several years I've owned it.
Connor Hill
Only if you don't install enso
James Long
Just saying man. Some lost soul might see that and grab a 3DS, only to find it has crappy emulation prospects. Get a N3DS or a N2DS lost soul.
Anthony Ortiz
I did and the only thing that came up was some old dead one that downloaded games at like 3kb/year
Carter Reed
I’d recommend no one buy a N2DS. After a year of using mine the hinge has turned into super wobbly shit.
Isaac Brooks
how do i play PSX games on my hacked vita?
John Rogers
pkgj
Jeremiah Kelly
nopaystation
Xavier King
get adrenaline then download eboots
Josiah Campbell
Thanks guys
Isaac Powell
so it's shit, just like the old 3ds xl
baka. what happened to nintendo? vita is built like a tank
Aaron Ortiz
SD cards? How do you put them in the console?
Jose King
Is catherine translated?
Ian Cox
enso said I should downgrade and started to download 3.60. Holy shit it downgrades for me? Or should I just stop before it bricks my shit?
Carson Allen
If I hack it does that lock me out from going online ever again? I want to get the platinum in P4G one day
Dominic Davis
Read the thread
Parker Foster
I'm into weeb games and used to have a Vita way back. Which model and what "accesories" should I get?
Jose Sanders
there's an sd card adaptor that uses the game card slot
nah you can go online. nobody seems to have been banned apart from trophy editors.
Jason Evans
Do you want a good screen? get a 1000. Do you want to be able to charge it in 5 years? get a 2000. 1000s have a proprietary charger. They're bullshit, and very low quality for official ones, and unofficial ones can cause problems.
Anthony Robinson
Nah man, this wobble is on an entirely different level. A gust of wind could close it shut.
>Vita is built like a tank That OLED model. The most premium built handheld in existence. If only the software wasn’t so mediocre. It’s like eating TV dinner on fine china.
Cameron Wilson
How do I install adrenaline on 3.60? I tried to install it from the homebrew store but it wouldn't install without asking me to update to 3.62 or something like that
Hudson White
Any model. Most people prefer the OLED model but whatever fits your fancy, and SD2Vita, that's all you need
Josiah Brooks
>incompatibility name 3 games. I've never seen a single snes game I couldn't play on my psp. Even SMRPG works 100% fine. It's not 2005 anymore.
Owen Jenkins
>duplicate the screen through the usb on PC is it that shitty stuff that only works for nvidia?
Easton Scott
I'm pretty sure you can find a GitHub for it. Just download the VPK and install it through vitashell
Mason Reed
sure, just run the exploit everytime on 3.70 where not all of the plugins work. or downgrade to a firmware where you can use a different exploit to not have to reinstall your fucking trinity exploit
Brandon Perry
The only problem I have is that I'm impatient and the cheapest used ones (both OG and Slim) go for like $90 on Tradera (Swedish ver. of Ebay) and it does seem a bit steep for a dead system. Is it worth it or should I just pay way less and wait?
Liam Cox
I want to play old PSOne games, is the PSP or Vita superior for this? I assume the Vita because of the extra thumbstick?
Wyatt Reed
>tfw bought a Vita to hack but mostly hate all the weebshit >mostly want it to play PS1 and PSP games I bricked my hacked PSP years ago and never cares to get a magic stick and that to fix it. I'll still play some Vita games but this shit is dope.
Noah Baker
The emulation quality is more or less the same, but the Vita supports dualshock and the PSP does not.
Brandon Phillips
The Vita is my favorite handheld of all time. The library is pretty trash if you don't count PSP, psx, and all the emulation, but for me it's the only handheld you really need because of all the emulation and the excellent controls. Your call but safe to say I'm pretty fuckin biased
Brody Jackson
>thread started to encourage people to hack their vitas >Someone asks a simple question >"Google it retard lmao" >Would have probably taken less characters to type the answer to the question
Nice thread
Anthony Gonzalez
I'm sort of this way and I'm not sure why. I think the idea of "hacking" them is more exciting than actually playing games is to me sometimes. Happened with my PSP and my 3DS. The thread is full of answers you tard.
Hudson Reed
The thread is full of answers and spoonfeeding only leads to a downward spiral of quality of the board. Look at modern Yea Forums now compared to older Yea Forums, or even modern Yea Forums to modern Yea Forums
Are pre-owneds worth buying? Or is ti a safer bet to purchase new?
I don't want to purchase a device with a dead pixel or a half dead battery.
Julian Flores
Is it just me or did CoD BO: Declassified actually have fun multiplayer?
Eli Sullivan
I bought a refurbished one really cheap bout a year ago or more on ebay, battery lasts what it should according to shit I've read online, screen is ok. Seller had about 10 to sell and had good comments.
Jordan Rogers
Is there a guide for hacking hte vita? I don't really care about torrenting vita games, but my old vita i had hacked to open up the old psp homebrew for emulators. That's mostly what I'm looking for.
I am but I still need a backup card just in case my 4gb card fucks up. I have a 1000 model. I'm on 3.60 enso, I'm just that paranoid.
Matthew Cooper
on that same note, fuck amazon.ca it does this shit all the time. I added an hdmi switch to my cart which was like 10 dollars waited to add more shit before ordering. The next day "an item in your cart has increased in price" 22 bucks. Shit like that happens on the reg
Isaac Hughes
The guy's an attention whore who just steals people's code to slap his name on it. You're better off using the other tools for this.
Aiden Baker
It's still more alive than the 3DS, though.
Colton Brooks
You can also emulate R2/L2 buttons with the back touchpad. There's these cases with actual R2/L2 triggers that will touch the screen for you as well.
>Reminder that you can hack your 3.69/3.70 Vita now thanks to Trinity
I fucking hope this means more homebrew games, ports and emulators.
Isaac Reed
I think vita games are better than 3ds games. even ds ports like 999 are much better on vita
Nolan Moore
thats a good deal. vita is out of print now, so prices will only go up
Adam Turner
well, hopefully someone dumps the translated version when it comes out
Landon Davis
I already hacked my Vita but thanks anyway
Jace Mitchell
Fuck almost worth selling my psp off.
Angel Lee
Is there a version of the lolicon plugin that doesn't fuck with Adrenaline yet?
Angel Garcia
are all the vita models hackable? which one is the best?
William Butler
OLED has a better screen and is built like a tank Slim is a bit more ergonomic and easier to find cheaper Hackability depends 100% on the hardware
Owen Harris
I mean 100% on the firmware whoops
Adam Carter
I modded mine but will stick with not downgrading it. I like the 2 seconds I save on loading screens eh.
Samuel Flores
maybe I'll try to look for the OLED version patapon should look great on it
Nathaniel Scott
>up the res of P4G
Honestly I did this to get it to native res and, to me at least, it didn’t make it look all that clearer and just highlighted the jaggies even more. Admittedly I only played through the first ~10 minutes cause I am just not in the mood for P4 again but does it really improve the image quality that much, aliasing aside?
Mason Powell
oled is also prone to burn-in and personally I find it looks hideous
Easton Cruz
>turn off automatic system updates >worry about nothing
Why is this even a problem?
Hunter Jones
The English version isn’t getting a vita release, and I’m sure translating isn’t as easy as simply dragging English files and dumping them into the Japanese version
Brody Myers
When would burn-in even be an issue assuming I don’t leave my vita turned on at the home menu 24/7?
Gavin Stewart
Eh, not really. It's nice to have it a slightly higher res but it doesn't make a huge difference. Being able to get rid of the framerate cap of Killzone Mercenary and get a decent 45fps when paired with lolicon is a better use of VitaGrafix imo.
Jason Kelly
for latefags, you won't be able to download the required psp demo off psn. I remember something to the effect that the previous latest firmware could still access the store through some fuckery, but better be safe than sorry.
Angel Perry
Is pretty sure you can use a spoof DNS to still access the store on lower firmwares, I can still access the store as normal on my hacked 3.65 vita
Ayden Morris
I remember hardcore monhun players getting burn in. and the sun will fuck it up, too. don't play outside.
oh, and black splotches. these are really only noticeable on solid black screens while in the dark.
Levi Smith
This will not last user
Jaxson Lewis
Does turning the brightness way down help reduce burn-in at all? I’m not an expert on how OLED works
Dylan Peterson
don't think so, no. it's really not that bad, but it's something to keep in mind.
David Diaz
Did they ever fix the issue with transferring music files onto sd2vita? Or was it a hencore thing? Anyway, they were always corrupt. I want to play Project Diva edits.
Camden Ward
I love my Vitas! i also have a third original black that I use for henkaku
Sony already lowered the max brightness to prolong its life. I guess it would last even longer by lowering it further, but I don't think it matters. But these are 10 year old OLEDs, they weren't meant to last forever and they are already old.
Zachary Brown
they just opened it and updated to make sure everything was working for you : )
James Russell
>, and I’m sure translating isn’t as easy as simply dragging English files and dumping them into the Japanese version they did that for ys viii back when we couldn't play games that required firmware 3.68
Mason Roberts
I've never had a burn in issue. just don't use the web browser for long periods of time
Julian Campbell
I never tried transferring music but surely it would be the same as any other file. you are using Vitashell to transfer, right?
Austin Diaz
You need to transfer music through the content manager.
Gavin Clark
damn, that blue is sexy. I always wanted it
Owen Brooks
same thing happened to me. I think those fucks in japan are making fully updated vitas before they go out of production
Noah Fisher
How much are vitas now? In cdn?
Carter Wilson
Somewhat unknown feature of Adrenaline; you can fast forward PS1 games if you press L + Select.
Jacob Myers
It’s hard to get a good angle but the blue has this really nice glittery look when it’s in the light
So like I guess I'll ask here: if I already have a hacked PSP should I even bother with hacking my Vita?
Levi Gray
The vita can emulate a fully working PSP inside itself, so you’d have everything you have now plus vita games
Bentley Martin
it's a really competent emulation portable too. can run psp and ps1 games through adrenaline (i.e sony's own emulator) and also has a retroarch port
Samuel Bell
If you want to play free vita games, yeah. This is a bit more subjective but I prefer the vita's control layout more than the PSP and how it feels in my hands. I also like having both devices in one machine, it's pretty convenient.
Jayden Bailey
vita has fullspeed SNES, and nothing else over PSP.
but if it is on 3.69+ you should hack it now while you have the chance.
Xavier Robinson
It doesn’t ban shit stop spreading misinformation
Camden Reed
I hacked a vita when I heard the production went dead. Why is there no threads for God Eater? did 3 suck?
in Vitashell press triangle -> More -> Export media
if you get an error restart your Vita and try again. same method works for images.
Andrew Price
Anons I just downgraded from 3.7.0 to 3.6.0 and installed enso? Is 3.6.0 the best? Or should I upgrade to 3.7.0?
Josiah Evans
enso is 3.65
you can just spoof later versions
Ryan Howard
Enso used to be the best because you used to have to re-hack the vita by using the web browser and visiting the henkaku site and sometimes you had to retry it several times. Now you can just run an app that very rarely gives any problems. There's no real reason to downgrade, but there's no reason to upgrade back either. Just keep what you've done.
Jayden Gonzalez
I just got my Vita today. Is there really a difference between 3.6.0 and 3.6.5? Im not understanding this
Joseph Harris
Thanks user Ill keep it like it is then. Spent 2 hours configuring everything
Joshua Jones
not anymore. some games used to require higher firmwares to run, but there is a plugin now that fixes that
Julian Richardson
everything after 3.60 is just Sony patching exploits.
