You know what's almost as good as playing this game?
watching cute girls cry over the ending online.
You know what's almost as good as playing this game?
You mean the part where Awano dies to save Kiryu, makes me tear up every time
That was Majima...
Why do girls love this series so much?
Trash visual novel series for fags. Also what a joke of a combat system
I thought so but couldn't exactly remember, even better tho
> Handosme youg males (Ikemen)
> Bound by oath and doing anything for their brother
Fujoshit material.
They don't even care about actual Yakuza representation like Kuze of Dojima.
They just want that sweet Ikemen booty
Majima died to save Kiryu? The fuck?
Awano died to save Majima
This series is like RDR2, goes for a "slice of life" pacing that's ultimately just tedious and has no tactical or action prowess. I try really hard to find the quality others see in games like this but I think the difference between us is that the narratives bore me in these games while for the people who enjoy it the narratives are essential.
How low the bar has fallen since Shenmue first gave us the unprecedented freedom of its sandbox combined with cutting edge Virtua Fighter controls. Yakuza suceeds in neither, it's a mini-game sim soap opera. Judgment/Judge Eyes looks like they finally revamped the combat though.
Narrative. Girls prefer stories to action.
Nope. There's more than one ponytail cyclop in the game, user. Don't get him confused with Majima.
>Why do girls love this series so much?
Awano
Shenmu is the king of QT events nothing more nothing less
>Shenmue
Stopped reading.
I wish Shenmue fans would stop shitting up Yakuza threads and vice versa. They re both great series, made my a teacher and a student who just happened to part ways.
It was the first hit of the "free-roam" revolution, cherry-picker. QTEs weren't exactly standard either.
They're great for completely different reasons it seems. Yakuza's success seems dependent on its narrative aspects.
Your complaint is kinda like if Bioshock fans got annoyed that people compared the game unfavorably to System Shock. Some spiritual successors success is often due to them compromising the original design in favour of something less interactive but nonetheless commercially appealing.
>I don't like this game nor see any merits to it, therefore everyone else must be wrong for not conforming to my opinion.
>and here's an essay
Christ, your type never fails to be a bunch of tryhards.
I explicitly wrote what I guessed the merits of it to be, you fucking illiterate.
Your type shits up the board, you complain about substantial posts you can't refute in little, bitter shitposts with no discussion.
The story really conflicts me. I honestly find most cutscenes to be exposition-dumps but when the emotional highs happen it's really good. The scene where the brother dies probally had me the closest to crying in a video game since playing AA3
Shenmue fans are up themselves for the most part.

Well? Post links
just scroll through playlists
I want Kuze back. Sucks he's only in Zero.
>stop saying Shenmue's better!
I'm sorry, Yakuzafag. It's just the reality of putting one of the few definitive Dreamcast games up against a series that to this day has a mostly region-specific audience. No one will talk about any specific Yakuza game 20 years after its release because none of them are definitive classics. They haven't even produced a universal hit like Persona eventually had with 5. There's nothing wrong with liking story games, just don't get mad when people point out they can't compare to much more substantial classics.
Again, wouldn't you find it silly if Bioshockers got mad in their threads if someone merely pointed out that System Shock was way better?
for me its when tachibana dies in kiryu's arms before he ever got to see makoto again ;_;
>Wahhha I'm I'm still salty Sega doesn't make good consoles
Get over it Sega was always shit
>sonic sucks
>genesis sound chip inferior to SNES
>Saturn had like 20 good games
>Master System was a joke only britbongs care about
>almost all good dreamcast games are arcade ports
Sega has done more as a 3rd party publisher then they ever did as a 1st party
>Give up Sega will never waste money on a console for it's drooling fans
Reminder than Shenmue 3 looks like an absolute joke and that's really why you're seething.
