Why does everyone like this game so much?
Why does everyone like this game so much?
i tried replaying it. actually a very boring game.
Rockstar games have two things going for them, the ability to rampage and kill nameless npcs freely, and the strong atmosphere of whatever they are making a game about, in this case cowboys and the wild west, that feeling of immersion is what hooks people.
Rockstar fanboys are storyfags. The gameplay could be in text format and they would still give it a 10/10 because of the cutscenes.
John boy.
It's a 10
Surely you mean Jim.
He didn't go by that in rdr1.
Excellent music, brilliant physics to toy around with, great gunplay, immersive atmosphere, great characters, fun dialogue and an ending so controversial that it still gets talked about years after release.
This, easily the best game of the decade behind NieR Autometa, Galaxy 2, BOTW & Dark Souls
You're a fag
I love wild west videogames and GTA style games so Red Dead Redemption was just made for me. In addition you had really satisfying gunplay, great physics and an engaging story plus good characters.
It also was responsible for waking up my dormant / repressed fetish for women being executed by hanging
Because of nostalgia. It was the first game I ever played. Heard about the second one. Then I realized that I don't really like video games. So I didn't like it. Never even played it to be honest.
Top tier ambiance, protagonist, came out when westerns were an underserved market in gaming, good story, still the best horse controls, euphoria physics, great antagonists, fun online.
>euphoria physics
Truly the greatest. Sent ragdolls flying.
hey it's the hangingfag
do you play online these days? I haven't touched it in weeks or even months, but to me it seems like they literally just don't give a fuck and want rdo to die
it sucks though because it had incredible potential imo
John is a dumb, dumb man.
not him, but i recently got back into it this week. the open world is still shit, as is most of the pvp.
Capture the bag (flag) mode is the only thing worth a damn online.
can you even play that if you want yet? I remember some modes that were actually fun and you could play them seperately when they were new and then they put them into showdown mode and you could only play them if you were lucky
I let my PSPlus expire months ago. The online is boring horseshit and I was let down by the fact that freeroam remains without a ''hook'' that would make it worthwhile to play. I finished the ''story'' of RDO but since then when I ask people that still play online if they added anything it's more deathmatch modes that doesn't really excite me in a game where almost everyone uses autoaim. At this point only the announcement of singleplayer expansion or major overhaul of the online would get me excited. But I still play the singleplayer. Probably playing it again tomorrow.
Awful taste.
>euphoria physics
>Truly the greatest
Yeah. Sure love taking three years to get up when I fall. Lots of fun.
only when it's the featured game mode unfortunately. Now it's just in the showdow. Lame shit.
same here, but I haven't played the game since I got the plat, it was a journey though and I still love the game
it's just that I spent so much fucking time in it's world I had to take a break and play some of the other new titles
I know there are lots of shit I haven't seen or discovered in RDR2 though, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go back and play through it again or just fuck around and play ghost hunting simulator with john or something like that
who knows, maybe I find something totally new, say what you want about rockstar, but they put an incredible amount of detail and hidden/secret stuff in their open world games that can make you come back to it even years later to shed some light on the mysteries
>and play ghost hunting simulator with john
What?
Yeah, the game is amazing for sure. Probably the only real complaint I have is that the game could have more repeatable side mission types and maybe random hangings in some town with an occasional female victim. But the singleplayer is awesome to autism around in regardless. Taking my time slowly, I've spent weeks in Chapter 2 doing challenges and hunting etc.
there are a few creepy shit in the game, or you could even say a lot depending on what you find creepy and I've only seen a few of them
of course I could just look them up on youtube, and there's little chance I just stumble upon them by accident, but it happened already a few times and it was more effective than any legit horror games in the last few years or so desu
did the same thing at chapter 2 on my second run, the feeling of freedom and healthy arthur is priceless, too bad there are so many things locked behind story barriers though, it was still a great experience, but it would've been cool if I could at least get close to 100% before reaching end game missions
Yeah just random adventuring can be atmospheric as hell.
The atmosphere of the game creates a lot of very moody scenes and the best part is that they happen very naturally. Would be cool if you could adjust the timescale though, it feels like the times of day set in a bit too fast. Exploring out in the wilderness is so good.
I don't. I played a bit of it but got bored. It's nowhere near as good as GTA.
>Would be cool if you could adjust the timescale
I was really hoping for a PC port specifically so I could find a mod for this. I think it should be at least doubled.
I always thought she was the cutest.
I honestly don't know, it's literally a "hold X" walking simulator, incredibly boring, easy, and little to do. Also skipped as much of the story sequences as I could because they were a drag.
I always hated undersized hats like that. They're ridiculous.
They're cute
lmao stick to fortnite
>that faded Arthur in the background
sensible but also sad chuckle.
I've been posting the picture for months and only noticed that now.
>I've been posting the picture for months and
yeah its time to stop
because she is
who is that faggy fruit boy fuck in your gif?
