Development hell on Starfox GP, the studio appears to be ready to close.
starfox gp doesn't exist, that rumor was fake and was entirely based on an edit of the starfox guard logo some dude made.
eating bbq
>starfox gp
trannyera is this way ---->
We'll probably see something at E3
If not, they're hilariously incompetent and worked 5 years without producing results
Weird cartoon robot dude.
well they sold 2 million copies of tropical freeze on switch so they at least made nintendo some money
It's so disappointing that it has to be real, I'm expecting to hear about it at E3 this year, next year or the year after that, I'm not letting it go.
Retro had to save metroid, again.
The Donkey Kong games are Nintendo EAD games. There's no way a western studio can make platformers this precise with zero experience. Retro was supposed to close after Metroid 3 and all the key people left the studio but Nintendo wanted to keep a feet in the western industry. The problem is Nintendo isn't a megacorp, they can't run a big AAA studio of hundreds of people and force them to shit out a game every 2 years. Retro is a small studio of dozens of people and they didn't find a good formula to make good games after Metroid Prime 3. Metroid Prime 4 is obviously going to be a Nintendo EAD game. Retro will make the graphics and other secondary stuff.
A quick look at the credits says you're wrong.
Nintendo do have a blind spot there though, but what they really need is another Rare deal to manage their western studios so that the partially owned company can say no and spend it's own money to finish projects.
>main source is liam robertson
o i am laffin
Word was they were working on a Star Fox racing game that was reminiscent of Diddy Kong Racing for the N64 but with Star Fox characters and a space theme instead of Diddy and Jungles, but supposedly the game was turning out to be trash there was many false starts and eventually the whole thing got the axe around the same time BandaiNamco's attempt at Metroid Prime 4 also got the axe so now they're working on Metroid Prime 4 from scratch and Starfox racing is ded.
Most of the top talent at Retro have left the studio since 2010 and onwards, and it appears the new Retro, the post-2010 Retro, wasn't quite as talented as the Retro from 2003-2009. Time will tell if the failure of the Starfox game served as an important lesson for Retro's new generation of staff or was just the first sign of yet another studio who lost all their best talent and as such are doomed to die.
I thought the main source was that tranny that should fucking kill themselves. Still I'm not letting this go, it's like someone ate my heart and shat it out it's that disappointing.
5 Years, Retro, a studio that has only made good games wasted 5 years on a game that holds no value. Fuck reality.
>Most of the top talent at Retro have left the studio since 2010 and onwards
I'd take this more seriously if tropical freeze wasn't top tier and if the people who left retro made better games than fucking ReCore
