He's another nice guy detective who turns out to be a demented no-friends nega-fool. His plan to get back at Shido was kind of stupid, basically carrying out all the dirty work for him to build him up before bringing him down at the last second and laughing in his face as he snuffs him out. Then at the end, although it could be interpreted as a desperate attempt to avoid a fight and make dealing with Shido easier, the phantom thieves coddle his insecurities and try to get him to help them, despite being a mass murderer, with Futaba and Haru's parents among his victims. They also coward out on his death scene by leaving room for doubt, he could end up returning afterward in Royal. And there was that scene after they spend an obscenely long time explaining how they tricked him where he and Shido just stand in a room and monologue at each other about how cunning they are, both talking but barely acknowledging that there's another person present. His existence also undermines the bit of intrigue they set up at the beginning of who the traitor is. It's obviously going to be him, so you don't have to even consider suspecting anybody you like.

My problem with Royal is that they're adding a lot of things that don't seem to address the real issues with P5. The tone takes a drastic turn after Madareme's dungeon. Makoto's introduction and her whole character arc feel off. Futaba, a character that actually adds an interesting dynamic, is only introduced halfway through the story and 4 dungeons in. Haru is introduced and then promptly rushed past because of rewrites and the writers having no real party dynamic for her since Ryuji and Ann are both already, at different times, the heart of the party.

November is a giant clusterfuck of Makoto, Akechi, Futaba, and Morgana (the smart people in the room + joker's mouthpieces) strategizing over everything and playing mind games with each other. Ann, Ryuji, and Haru all sit back, say a few useless things, and contribute nothing. Shido is underwhelming and then the resolution with the grail is fucking retarded.

So, instead of addressing anything above besides MAYBE giving Akechi a redemption arc, they're adding yet another Phantom Thief into the mix to steal screen time from the over characters who desperately need it. Maybe she'll be good, maybe I'll look back on this blogpost on Yea Forums and laugh, but what if it's not? Her intro to the story, coming in at the start with the protagonist, is the plot of at least 10 Persona fanfics with OCs I can think of off the top of my head.

What really bugs me is that they avoided this mistake in P3 and P4. Shinjiro, Ken, and Naoto, are all introduced to the player and the party well before they actually join. Haru gets one brief cameo in an animated scene, then disappears until Hawaii, despite there being tons of scope for her to appear around the school beforehand. Hell, Makoto exists as an unusually detailed NPC before she's plot-relevant, and you're constantly given hints about Futaba's existence, even if they only make sense in hindsight.

Honestly don't like all the deep red in her design. There's so much of it that it kinda all runs together and stops being interesting. Compare to a design like Mitsuru where you get the different shades of red between her hair, eyes, lips, ribbon, and SEES armband all separated by pale whites like her skin and shirt. With Kasumi you've got the strong red ribbon on deep red hair and the equally deep red eyes. None of them really stand out amongst the others, makes it looks kinda messy, and I don't think all the solid blacks of the uniform and PT outfit are really helping. The best part of them are the silver rose/sword accessories in the PT uniform, those really add a lot of pop to the design.

Yes I'd really like to see either the hair or red ribbon colored differently. Even just making the ribbon another solid black in her PT outfit is an improvement. Her casual outfit in the scene with Goro and Joker looks great but even there the ribbon seems to be clashing with the hair more than accentuating it.
I understand that, I don't think the reds in her design should go away entirely, I just want them to work together rather than smearing into each other. Joker's the main character but even his reds are limited to his uniform buttons and his red gloves in the PT outfit. And it works, because they are very eye-catching deep reds so they do a lot of work when put against the solid blacks of his clothes even when used sparingly. Kasumi's design goes so hard on the red and puts them all in the same place so it goes from striking and eye-catching to just a mess.
