And they both play the exact same games. How is PC supposed to be the better investment? Even if you factor in online services it would take 15 years for the cost to equal a PC cost.

Not trying to start shit, genuinely curious how a gaming PC is a smarter monetary investment compared to a console.

If you suck ass at building and buy a premade one sure.

price aside, PC has backwards compatibility to 30 years worth of software even on other platforms, as well as good future compatibility

Because you don't exclusively use your PC for video games you fucking manchild.

>And they both play the exact same games.
Do they run the exact same software? Why are consolewarriors so unbelivably retarded?

You cant build a PC that has the power of an Xbox/PS4 for anywhere near the same cost

youtube.com/watch?v=ZAFuawsN-1I
Sure you can.

Oh look it's retarded

here faggot. $720 with rebates and can every modern game at 60fps 1080p(something consoles cant do)

Attached: pc10.png (1206x637, 69K)

What does software matter?

>$400 more

Isn't the PS4 equivalent to a Radeon HD 7850?
That was mid-range back in 2012.

>$720 with rebates and can every modern game at 60fps 1080p(
Sure it can faggot. Blow it out your ass, PC games are almost all optimized like shit, if you don't have the latest fifteen hundred dollar plastic fantastic piece of shit GPU prepare to tinker with settings to maintain a stable 60.

Daily reminder that optimization will always be more important than hardware.

You should still own a solid PC to emulate old games though, but that's all.

Yes you can. Hell, if you include shit from Ebay you could probably build a 4k 60fps rig for around the same price.

>hurrr only premade costs 1500
Stop with this meme. A fucking top of the line Graphics card alone will run you around 66% of that budget.

>prepare to tinker with settings to maintain a stable 60.
So...take 5 minutes to adjust some things?

Why do you need a top of the line card if you just want a stable 1080p and 60fps?

yes but it will be more powerful than the next gen consoles, you dont need to pay for online services, and you can pirate games to save additional cash.

outside of a few examples, every game runs better on PC. and ones that dont often have mods that make them run better.

oh, that's another plus: pc has mods.

>700€ machine beats out a 200€ machine
WOW

>You can emulate pretty much any old game you want for the extra cash.
>You can pirate almost any game
>You don't even need a monitor if you have a tv so you can save some cash
>You can sell your old parts and wait for sales to buy new ones whenever you want to upgrade instead of having to drop another $500 on a new generation of consoles
>You don't have to pay for online, which adds up over time.
>Computers can do so much more than play games
>You can overclock your device for better performance
>you can mod most games
>better graphical options
>can use any peripheral to play games

Why yes. PC is simply superior.

So don't buy top of the line you stupid faggot. Comparing an Xbone to a custom PC with a 2080 is like comparing a Corolla to a Lambo. A GPU rivaling that found in an Xbone could be had for maybe 150 bucks.

xbox is for people with friends

pc is for loser virgins

It's what you buy a computer for. It's the only consideration to have.
How did you become this stupid, boy?

Everyone I know, including normalfags, either has a PS4 or a PC. Xbox is fucking dead.
Everyone that owns a switch is an idort.

I own every console. What does that say bitch?

good job user you got fags to do the hardwork of having to find parts for you

Consoles are for pedophiles, so they can attract kids on xbl.

that you're desperately trying to find friends

here are your answers OP
does the Switch have backwards compatibility with EVERY Nintendo console/handheld?
does the PS4 have backwards compatibility with EVERY Sony console/handheld?
does Xbox One have backwards compatibility with EVERY Microsoft console?
no. but you can literally play any generation of consoles and handhelds from any gaming companies on PC (if you add up the value of every gaming console/handheld and their library of videogames in existence, it is a much bigger number than $2000). hell, you can even create your own games!!!! PC is an amazing investment for so many reasons. you can even create/use mods/hacks for your videogames and can play beyond 60fps.

Did you make this post on your 300 dollar Xbox, your "1500" dollar PC, or your 1k phone? I hope you didn't post this one an overpriced 300 dollar console that can't even shitpost on Yea Forums

>exact same games
I didn't know current gen consoles had access to literally every game that came before

The only game I've run into recently that was horribly optimized was Bless Online

PC games are free though.

>console
>users play at 720p 20fps and defend it
>pc
>if you aren't at 4k 144fps then you might as well buy a console
that's why there's a difference in price

and those are just facts

Why do people always fall for this.

>does Xbox One have backwards compatibility with EVERY Microsoft console?no.
It does you retard

Unironically, it makes for a faster shitposting machine. When I use my laptop with its 8 gig ram and ULV processor and compare to my 32 gig ram 5jiggahertz 6 core gayman PC, it's like traveling from 1999 to 2029 in terms of speed.

Every console, but not every game. The official Xbox site lists only 31 original Xbox titles for which Xbox One is backwards compatible (xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/backward-compatibility). Sorry for nitpicking, I guess, but I think the main point of the guy's post is still valid. You can play more than 31 DOS games on Windows 10.

>can upgrade mostly incrementally
>gets the new gpus before consoles, which can be swapped out (tell me, who got 8gb gpus first?)
>got SSD first, can upgrade it easily. Same with RAM
>can do actual work on it, cant do homework on an Xbox One X or write whole papers or get to databases
>overclock if you want it
>steam library is BC in 99.9% of cases, and when its not theres USUALLY a patch
>often lets you upscale old games to higher res
>lets you max settings and tailor them

Come get me when a console lets me adjust shaders, shadow, texture quality, and reflection on 99% of the games, let alone shit like anti aliasing, lod, draw distance, resolution with more than 2 settings, vsync, and other more advanced settings. And is compatible with all that came before it, and has free internet and private servers. You can make a respectable budget build that is way more flexible than consoles. The only real advantage was a free bluray player and a decent controller and exclusives. But now exclusives are down, and next gen will probably be worse, and even xbox is moving away from disks with their new box.

Nintendo need not apply, they do their own thing and always have. No one buys a wii for CoD or RDR2 or whatever, so that mobile hybrid is a different niche entirely

>euros
lmao

what are you doing here? I thought video games were haram.

is this actually a good pc build? i've been wanting to build my first pc for a long time. im a poorfag though, how would you reduce cost on that?

Use a 1600 instead of a 2600.
Go for an older card, something more akin to a 970 (you can get those for around $120 now.)
Use eBay.
Skip the 1TB SSD, get a $23 Adata one on Amazon.

I prefer PC because of the high frame rates.

>amd
>radeon
L M A O
Enjoy troubleshooting more than actually playing games

would this play most games at 60fps?

>tell me, who got 8gb gpus first?
PCFAG here, 8GB VRAM is still mostly a meme. You should be taking the time to brag about other things including VRAM speed but instead you chose the pleb way out. Disappointing as fuck.

>often lets you upscale old games to higher res
Heavy fucking asterisk there too lad, Microsoft have yet to implement proper integer scaling into their OS and AMD & Nvidia have been ignoring it for years. Most of the time you're just rendering games at a higher resolution but do not try and say that they're being "upscaled".
Upscaling in PC games is still largely bilinear or nearest at worst without proper integer scaling.

Don't be a pleb.

>would this play most games at 60fps?
Sure, it's modern hardware. 60 fps isn't a challenge as long as you're not terminally gay. High refresh rates are where the real challenge is.

What did he mean by this? AMD is pretty common, its not 2005 anymore

Should I upgrade or wait another 2-4 years?
I'm only playing 1080p btw.

Attached: LSYprP14J4M.jpg (680x380, 84K)

You should wait. Unless you change monitor then there's not even a sensible GPU to change to.
OC your ram, OC your CPU and you'll be fine, poorfag.

Why should I OC 2666 RAM tho

dude a rx 580 is 189 you add a amd cpu cheap mobo case psu and you have a pc more powerful than a console for about 350 right there not to mention the fact that if it gets out dated your basically just looking for a new gpu and cpu which shouldnt break the bank unless you plan on going up to like 4k or something(which consoles cant do so it'd be an unfair comparison)

because depending on which game you're playing: That's going to be your first bottleneck.

If you really want to upgrade badly, just start doing 4x DSR scaling in every title. Either way you'll just end up buying slow memory again.

So RAM and CPU are the main priority for me now. 1070ti is still enough or should I start thinking about buying 20xx?
Last I heard 20xx is a fucking mess.

>car 20k house 200k

And they both let me be heated and comfy

Hurr durr durpity doo *drools violently*

>house 200k

maybe in commiefornia or someplace
