Do it faggot.
Do it faggot
Too easy
Pacing on the first third is fucked
It's Twilight Princess
Rushed title
Very sloppy level design
Mostly lousy arsenal
Quake
Unbalanced as shit
The library
Wonk ass vehicle controls
Halo CE
>takes a long time to start
>it's nearly impossible to beat without grinding
>it ends
I wish I could erase my memory of Persona 4 so I could experience it for the first time again.
>monster rancher 4
impossible to emulate
difficulty spikes
all of my best friends died
1. The cover art could be better
2. The blurbs on the back of the case could be slightly cooler
3.It could've come with a nice full color manual
It's buggy as fuck
It's obviously unfinished
It's kinda fuckin ugly
No checkpoints
Missions that aren't difficult but piss you off anyways
Nothing to do postgame except finding green eggs
Jak II
Legend of Mana
>First hit in melee combos can stunlock bosses if repeated infinitely, making the game's difficulty nonexistent
>Forging weapons and armor is a nigh incomprehensible system that explains nothing, where fusing two of the same items into a piece of gear will skyrocket the stats, the reduce it to worse than it was previously
>Lots of environments rely on figuring out which path leads to progress and which leads to resetting the player back to the entrance, made worse by unclear locations in which NPCs required to progress are moved to (see jungle, tower, and underworld)
Fucking adore that game, but yeah, it's got some annoying shit.
It is dead as a door nail and Sega probably forgot it exists.
Sega probably forgot it exists because it sold poorly.
Ramirez is a bit of a Sephiroth rip off.
New Vegas?
Cringy dialogue
Awful story
Arguably no legitimate skill required to be "good" at the game
Borderlands 2
I love me a loot n shoot.
okay
>balance is shit with a fraction of the characters functionally erasing almost half the cast
>universal mechanics benefit upper tiers disproportionately
>unblockables and infinites exist, and while i personally dont mind they are in and of themselves bad design
bonus outside of the game itself
>has had multiple opportunities to be released balanced and potentially better than its ever been but blocked by "diehards" who rarely if ever played in the first place, and didnt play the rereleases anyway
Extremely slow start that can turn a lot of people off
More lighthearted than its predecessor, tons of pop culture references
Fucking Temple of Trials
It's not out yet
There has been no info given about it
It might not coincide with the switch mini release
Second half is incomplete
Combat system could have been better
Half your party members are unlikable assholes
You know what game it is
>First playthrough doesn't even scratch the surface of all the options you'll eventually have, making your first run feel like a tutorial with a story.
>Half the main cast gets a lot of fantastic character moments and well-done backstory, but the other half exists either to be comic relief or simple gameplay reasons, and it feels weird that I barely know anything about characters I spend most of the game with compared to some of the villains.
>Like 15% or so of the entire game is side-games that don't all play well, and another ~5% is platforming which isn't that good when it's a zoomed-out isometric view.
>last half is clearly worse than the first and unfinished
>many hard-to-understand game mechanics for anyone wanting to get into it without a guide
>NPC quests require backtracking to random areas at specific points of the game, which sucks if you go through the whole level all in one go for the sake of exploration
You should be able to solve this.
Fallout 76
Third Strike?
its gotta be MvC2
Dumb Plot
Rhythm mini games
Only fun on the highest difficulty
I wouldn't call it my favorite game, but I constantly go back to it to the point it's probably the game I know the most about. Anyway, three bad things:
1. Lulu is a waste of a character. Her design doesn't fit coming from podunk Besaid. She has essentially no story relevance. Her most pertinent background point is that she had previously acted as Guardian on a failed Pilgrimage... which is something shared by Wakka.
2. I wish FFX let you see the inside of Bevelle instead of just bits and pieces on your way up the stairs to Seymour and on the way to the temple.
3. The minigames that you have to do to get the ultimate weapons were designed by a misanthrope whose main goal was to inflict as much suffering on as many people as possible
Considered to be significantly easier than its predecessor
Doesn't have nearly as good music as its predecessor
Mini games suck if you're not playing with a friend
Now try and guess what it could possibly be
No Endgame.
Time-gated content.
Too much grind required to get perfectly rolled rivens.
Fallout New Vegas
Actually, objectively broken and unfinished, in which fan patches only manage to stabilize the game so that it doesn't crash every hour, instead lasting maybe 2 if you're lucky.
Tons of areas are bland as fuck to explore. A lot of spots in the game are just glorified storage spaces for blue star bottlecaps, in which there's no environmental story telling or stuff to discover, just the bottlecap.
Although part of the unfinished complaint, the Legion are the biggest example of how bad the cuts made aspects of the game. Despite some good parts of the group, the Legion come off as mustache-twirling villains in 90% of encounters, in which a lack of quests and interactions encourages this binary view of them.
1. The plot itsn't very focused
2. The music is definitely a grower
3. There's no goddamn ending
the AI is dogshit
the multiplayer is dead (which is what makes it so damn good)
and there is seemingly no interest in reviving the spinoff
it's an RE game
Too short.
Reuses levels.
Human characters look more gross and ugly than the goblin.
Village area is the best
Ashley is annoying
There are some lame minigun enemies on the Island
No quicksave
No speak to all option
The remake was bad
There's just nothing truly bad I can say about it. Number 1 and 2 aren't even real big problems and they were fixed in the sequel.
yessir, and it sucks too because i want to live in a world where alex is actually solid and we'll never get that. I have oro and his sa3 so im not too torn up but id still like to see a new version
damn never played mvc2 but now that I look at it that applies to mahvel as well. I wish i could get into the 3v3 marvel games, infinite spoiled me, it feels easier than any of the other games and i genuinely enjoy it a lot
Fight backgrounds can look really ugly
English dub is horrendous
A bit too easy because the hardest difficulty setting was removed from the western release
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Not my favorite but I've been playing it a lot
1.) It does the """"but you can get it free if you grind for it""" jewish trick bullshit except the grind is unreasonable compared to the money it costs (extremely time/cost inefficient even for a grind) when the characters are so vital to the gameplay
2.) destruction of terrain is client side and not server side so sometime something will block your vision but not be there on someone else's screen
3.) The time it takes them to fix stuff or make necessary changes in terms of quality of life stuff or just the general health of the game is too long for a company of its size
It stopped being good after the 2nd expansion
It's part of one of the worst companies of today
It's only getting worse with every update
There's a twenty hour long tutorial that forces you to learn basic shit when they changed very, very little in the series. You also have to experience it on replays. Guess what? Every new zone has a mandatory tutorial too.
You cant do the multiplayer in story missions until you've seen the cutscene in an area. THEN you can call for help.
The weapon and armor designs took a massive step down, all the special weapons look like unique monster parts were stapled on the beginner equipment.
Fuck MHWorld and fuck what Capcom did to the series. I love how it got popularized and the graphical and gameplay upgrades, but fashion hunter was ruined.
R6 Siege?
>slow start
>kinda a waifu bait game
>actually its not even a game
Pic related
skill progression looks something like pic related
competitive scene is full of retards and very picky assholes
because it's free to play, lots of children who are younger than the game is with mcdonalds microphones in servers
guess what game
Dark Souls?
Fist weapons looks like an amateur punching.
Too easy.
Retconned some story.
Can't jump
Dead-ish public community (online co-op rpg)
Mostly well balanced but still two useless classes
Test
I feel you. Yang/Q main here. I really wish 3SO had an optional rebalance like STHDR. Also UMvC3 is my favorite fighting game ever, so anything I say to convince you to get into 3v3 tag fighters would be overzealous. I just like team-building a lot. Infinite had a LOT of issues, even in the gameplay systems, but I'll admit that running Sigma/Nemesis was so fun that I forgot about that for a while. I miss Sigma even if I don't miss the game.
I think you would like Tatsunoko vs Capcom. It's still a Vs hyper tag fighter, but it's 2v2 and its systems are very "anime", like universal airdashes, a burst mechanic, and Baroque. Alex is in that game too, and he's quite fun. I run him and the gunner girl from an obscure JP-only quiz waifu game, with a pocket of PTX-40A, the mech from Lost Planet.
-game is short
-felt incomplete from the middle of the game to the end
-graphics look washed out and dull
Too many good defensive options, very easy to turtle
Ancient default settings
Lack of dev support
ill do another one
Gameplay is sick but
>Graphics and audio are trash, even for the time it released
>four or so enemy designs
>last phase of last boss gives up on being challenging and while its a cool power moment it kinda feels like ending the game on a wet fart
man it hurt to talk smack like that
I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I definitely enjoyed both styx games and they scratched my itch for more new stealth based games.
any others that might not be as well known you have to recommend?
ive seen some TvC but i always decided that if i was gonna take a teams game seriously it was either MVC or Skullgirls. If you can redpill me on MvC2 or UMVC3 that would be appreciated, i feel like im just missing what basic combo structure is supposed to feel like, and i dont know how to integrate assists
Fucking half the map is mountains you have to go around
The best parts of the game are hidden behind mods so console players have to eat shit until the buy a good pc or a gaming laptop like me
Fucking yellow tint everywhere
Love me some New Vegas tho
>level design in the second half is boring
>V is a pain to play on DMD
>too many loading screens
Revisits a location that was already in the previous game when there were plenty of other places we could have gone
Retcons the final boss of the first game (maybe?)
A game in the series you have to play to understand it doesn't come immediately before so if you started with the one just before it
should be obvious to whoever's played it
Despite being an MMORPG with top-notch player interaction and content recycle design so that no zone and monster is ever useless to players, the gameplay is essentially a mind-numbing grindfest.
Very easy to fail your character's build as every single stat and skill point matters and there's no respec option.
Has no true and live spiritual successor 17 years after its release.
repetitive gameplay
micro transaction
newer game is just reskin of the previous game
fifa
Qtes
You lose way too much magic when you get hit
The button mashing segments are way too demanding.
Too short.
No multiplayer.
No way to know which roads lead to Gran Soren.
>20 minute long intro
>Really long and tedious (but not hard) boss fight that happens three times with no differences whatsoever
>Final level has a really cool aesthetic and it's only used for a shitty boss rush
Tekken 7 has probably been the most balanced and fun it has ever been, but it feels too safe and my energy for this game burns out faster than other ones in the series. Ranking is sorta fucked, even in S2. The lack of single-player/local-only content sucks. I hope they'll simply do one more season of content before they move on. It's been almost 5 years since Tekken 7 was out.
>>V is a pain to play on DMD
He's literally the easiest to play as.
You just have to actually read the book and spam nightmare.
>It's buggy as fuck
>It's obviously unfinished
Assasians creed unity
>A game in the series you have to play to understand it doesn't come immediately before so if you started with the one just before it
1. It's too good at accomplishing its goals
2. It's too perfect
3. It cares too much
Bad music
Lame sfx
Sega
100% agree, but still love the game, and really doubt anything will top it this year.
bayo?
Yess
that client side debris shit was the tell, ive fallen victim too many times
Can't skip cutscene
Guts trivialize the game
The true end feel out of place
Valkyrie Profile is still my favorite game though
Whoops, forgot to cut out
>so if you started with the one just before it
What I meant was that it's the third game but it's a direct sequel to the first and completely unrelated to the second.
I got nothing.
Same boat as you.
Styx games are the only ones I know of in recent memory where you are actually punished for fucking up and you aren't a one man army that can just fight his way out of getting caught.
KH2
>It's the point where the story starts to sink in quality, and it showcases Square's inability to smoothly build onto their world
>The Disney world revisits get boring quickly
>The prologue takes more time than it should
Xenoblade 2?
nope
Draw distance too short for what it was
No pc port to get it to its true potential
EA killed my favorite studio with the sequel that suffered the same problem
Imagine Mercenaries 1&2 with cranked up physics and draw distance and LOD.
I can only speak for UMvC3 since I never gelled with MvC2. The thing about Marvel 3 is that there's a magic series, of LMHS, superjump up, j.MMHS. 90% of the cast can do it and it's decent since most of the cast also can do supers after it (or from the j.H into a Special if they have an air super). Most of the cast just builds variants off of this Magic Series based on their tools (Wolverine can Drill Claw into j.2H divekick, which will groundbounce), throws in OTGs and assists, and ends it on a Super. UMvC3's combo system is so open that a lot of what seems like it will work will work with the right timing until your hitstun scaling gets too high, and you get infinite OTGs as long as you can get knockdowns.
Really, all I can say is find who you like, watch some combo tutorials, and experiment. The reason I love the game so much is the insane freedom of team-building that can result in viable teams from weird origins. I've built a dozen teams and learned them inside and out while also playing around with a bunch of shells in that game. I clocked 1000+ hours in Training alone. It's just that enjoyable for me. Characters I would avoid at the beginning are really high-execution characters that require a lot of experimentation and team setups like Dante, C. Viper, Spider-Man, Iron Man, etc. Good beginner characters are Dr. Doom, Sentinel, and Akuma, and all three of those characters have amazing assists that can help out whoever you find the most fun to play as.
Currently DBFZ is my game of choice to sit down and lab combos/tech in. It feels like an anime game that borrowed only the good ideas from UMvC3, but its own mechanics have their own issues that lock up team-building and the meta's flow to an extent that I can't say it's better despite learning from UMvC3's mistakes.
no worries, the stealth genre has been pretty lacking of decent games as of late. I'm still trying to get one of my friends in the mood to coop with SoD even though he hasn't played the first styx/
200 Lighting strikes is BS
No endgame diversity
No harem ending
FFX still best FF
Its multiplayer
Its made by the company that killed tribes
Its slowly dying
>definitely a grower
For a second there I thought you were talking about me.
Easy mode:
1. Ret-conned beyond recognition
2. Too much content, feels empty
3. No, we'll never go home again
deeply frustrating platforming
puzzles waste time instead of challenge the player
endgame is an errand that unfortunately highlights game's weaknesses
Its long.
the character recruitment is vague.
Way to many endings.
Too easy
Hasn't aged well
Splitscreen multiplayer requires RL friends with free time.
Super ninja boy.

Censorship

Social Politics
>MK11 is supposedly your favorite game
>Doesn't list the janky, poorly-paced gameplay that 11's new mechanics fail to do much to improve on 9 & X
>Doesn't mention the completely fucked Variation system that could ruin the competitive scene before it starts depending on the ruleset adopted
>Three problems are actually just three ways to say one problem
Begone, lazy shitposter.
DMC3:SE
>Lots of obnoxious, throwaway enemies

Run Nevan, Spiral, Shotgun, and another Devil Arm of your choice. You are now having large amounts of fun.

Smite?
Navi
Water Temple
Needing to fail the infiltration of the castle for Malon to spawn
>melee is easy mode
more like completely absolutely broken, like, comically broken. It practically puts morrowind to shame.
Science\Repair are only useful in exactly 2 situations each through the whole game
Melee is garbage and is severely outclassed by unarmed
No sequel
>Upgrades in future titles make it a real cunt to play nowadays.
>Item world is fucked and can force you to lose progress.
>Story gets in the way of the gameplay
Disgaea
Really? On my only playthrough I went the cowboy route and only used revolvers and lever action rifles.
I might need to do another playthrough now.
Superheated saturnite fist is like 3 attacks a second at like 90 damage and extra cripple power. Its absurd.
Thermal lance, chainsaw, and the wood club from honest heart with cripple rape pretty much everything. The Dead Horse club in particular has an absurd attack rate
Yeah you can basically one-shot anything by like level 5 or so, then after that you dump points into speech, science, and lockpicking
no need to spec anything into per or ag, spec into str, int, en up to 9. Having max endurance is both for hp and implants you can have installed
after that the game plays itself. equip the strongest armor/melee weapon, max out melee weapons and lockpicking/computer use, then max out speech. Game is over.
Shitty backstab fest PvP

Most bosses are pretty boring
Close enough. Paladins and smite both fit the desc
You're hired!
My nigga you nailed it on the head. I adore the shit out of this game and to this day have no idea how I got every cactus entry as a kid.
Operation Raccoon City

unbalanced
its not at evo anymore
its old enough to buy a pack of cigarettes and drink in some countries
>easy even on the hardest difficulty
>the Nintendo DS really held it down graphically
>can't casually discuss it here because of it's character designs
it hasn't been remastered for ps4
i already got the ending and all major plot twists spoiled
it doesn't have tae in it
Gotta be CvS2.
I wish P-Groove actually had 3S-style meter with EXs, then maybe it wouldn't be ass.
>kinda too fanservicey
>no poise

Dark souls 3
main villain of the series was ruined

please, I have some dignity.
There isn't more of it
The sequel is TBA and years away
There aren't more mods for it
Oh fuck is that the one where you could turn into a zombie to try and eat your friends? I always wanted to do that but I was too poor for online.
Slippery
Voice lines are God awful sometimes
There isnt a sequel
Fuck you Sega, gimme Sonic Heroes 2 it's been a fuckin decade and I've waited patiently.
Okami
Issun handholding on puzzles is much worse then the intro
Pikmin 2:
> One version has no widescreen support and the other has shitty controls so pick your poison
> Pikmin constantly make noises as you walk around which can be a little bit annoying
> Making more purple/white pikmin can be mildly grindy if you let too many die.
Despite all that it's still one of the greatest games ever created.
>Needing to fail the infiltration of the castle for Malon to spawn
You can just go to Hyrule caste, back to market town, then back to Hyrule castle and she will be there.
half of /V me included want a remaster or remake of this GEM and Capcom is like fuck you we dont care , such a shame
Didn't check back into this thread until just now, but bingo.
Wii controls are better and Pikmin noises are cute
Why are we still suffering with loading screens in (current year)? In 1996 on PSX, I thought "Boy, I can't wait until this goes away", but here we are, still putting up with it. This shit should be lightning fast at this point, and now next Gen the new meme is 4k everything?? Great, so it's just getting worse and worse.
The UI is horrible, the fanbase is full of social justice faggots, and the engine is O(n^2) or worse with number of entities so it lags like crap even on modern machines.
i spent 28 days in the vita version, and im about to play it again since i found out you can hex edit the game and play with the graphics settings. there is a guy who has it running at stable 25 fps, which seems shit but i put up with days of 10-15 being the highest
Can completely break the last quarter of the game pretty easily
Exposition is messy
Some weird translations
I don't have a single favorite, but all my list toppers have similar issues.
>stupidly designed tutorial
>fake choices that I can't even describe as "Illusion of Choice," because of how poorly written they are

Final Fantasy VII. Remake will hopefully flesh towns and cities out more.
tf2
doesn't get enough updates
pyro is fucking gay and most players play him in a braindead way that actually rewards them
the backstab hitbox for everyone for some reason includes your sides as well so spies abuse this and just do these dumb trickstabs you can't do anything against
1. Exile.
2. Revelation.
3. Uru.
That was easier than I thought it would be thank you Courtlier.
1. Insight was a great concept, but underutilized and basically served as currency. Would have loved to see it influence the environments / creatures more.
2. Status effects are lame. Frenzy is a cool concept but it just inflicts massive damage? Surely there was a better alternative to portray going in a frenzy.
3. Build variety is a bit limited. Would have been cool to have more hunter tools.
Doom
>Too repetitive, you spend the whole game killing demons, exploring maze-like levels and going to the exist. Repeat.
>The weapons play the same. There's no innovation.
>The HUD is kinda lame. Kinda.
It was never the prettiest game in the world.
The fact that you can ignore swimming and environment for the most part means the stat system was pointless.
The dragon sword is way too OP
I had to think really hard to come up with bad things
FFVII
But its kinda fuckin aesthetic
> Country side section is poorly paced and annoyingly mapped.
> Story gets a little wacky for its own good in the toreno missions.
> Turf wars are too fucking tedious and are just padding.
San Andreas
i played bloodborne a bit when i had a ps+ trial since it was being given away at the time, i never got to finish it because the trial ended. haven't even touched my ps4 since
