Star Fox Assault. That game is critically underrated and Star Fox is desperately in need for a new release of a game not based on fucking Star Fox 64. Give the VS mode some online too, the VS mode was especially underrated.
Speaking of series that need a new title, F-Zero GX. Maybe vamp up the physics a bit, add some new maps, give it online, and a track editor.
Lastly, one of the Gamecube Mario Parties. Doesn't matter which one, just a real Mario Party with online is all anyone who's ever liked that series has ever wanted.

I mean, the first animal Crossing has its share of pros, sure. NES games, much better dialogue, those perfect retro graphics, not being the mayor, Isabelle not being in the game, economy not being entirely reliant on farming bugs, but at the same time, the newer games brought on a lot more features that add much more customization to the game, which is ultimately the biggest draw to the game. I'd rather just hope they take inspiration from Animal Crossing in making the new one, rather than have a remaster shoved in our faces.

the monkey ball inspired game that I was referring to is a game called Rolled Out, and it's being made by a guy that's made several level romhacks for SMB2. Romhacks would be a good place to start too: Monkeyed Ball is probably the most well-known romhack for SMB2
