Don't they have any self respect? Do they love being fucked in the ass by companies? Do they really enjoy paying premium prices for 18 year old ports?
Why are Switch owners treated like third class citizens?
If you hadn't noticed, Switch owners aren't happy with this release.
>Switch is getting more third party ports than any system since the SNES
>one doesn't come
>"FUCK Switch gets screwed!"
>Switch owners are getting 20 year old ports
>The other consoles get the entire collection plus cheaper
>Implying they aren't getting fucked
Let me guess, it's $30.
Now watch as Capcom-fags shifts the blame and say it's Nintendo's fault for making Capcom charging that much.
>Capcom has "no plans"
that's all you need to say
>Crapcom strikes again
Sony and Microsoft pay for third party support. Nintendo does not.
Who the fucks buys physical for a port? I could understand a new game or even an enhanced edition (like FF12's) but its literally just an old game put on a new console. Why would anyone be mad about this?
>461344048
>Why are Switch owners treated like third class citizens?
Because they fucking are
I got the Final Fantasy X and X-2 (Asia) on a cart because I didn't want to download anything.
Crapcom will be crap.
Nothing new.
>why are switch owners treated like third class citizens
probably because your port begging makes the homeless guy on the corner look less desperate in comparison
>but we're a poor indie company who can't afford anything more than 2GB cartridges
Why does crapcom hate the switch so much?
in what world does less than a megabyte of nes games remaster to 2gb?
It's probably the all the art scans and the music player.
They're not Playstation and don't pay for support.
Plus they have to compete with Nintendo first party titles.
The ultimate switch cuck defense: it's worth it because it's portable.
They can't multiplat everything to it.
Does they have to go through Nintendo to manufacture the cartridges? I can understand them doing that if so.
Most of us only care about something being portable if it's indie games or other games that meant to be played on the go. Only false-flaggers have been using that as an excuse as why Switch-owners should be paying that much for games.
>port GOAT PS2 classic
>it's the god awful PS4/PC/Xbone HD Collection botched version
>no physical release
but Capcom hated the Vita even more
The Switch uses generic SD cards. I don't see why they have to go through Nintendo to manufacture them.
Sony didn't pay for support, hence MonHun 3DS.
They arent SD cards at all. I dont know if it goes through nintendo but they arent SD cards.
This.
Crapcom low quality everywhere
It's sad that if you want to play a respectable version of DMC1 you need to buy the PS3 HD Collection specifically.
BUT THEY'VE BEEN MAKING A COMEBACK, REMEMBER?
If I had to pay out of my pocket to have cartridges made, I'd hate the Switch too.
Why the hell did Nintendo go with cartridges?
>expensive
>Switch cartridges have trouble holding multiple games
On pc everything is digital.
>buy FFX/FFX-2 cart (Asia)
>both games on it
>no download
>WHY DID NINTENDO USE CARTS?!
No, stop posting Crapcom
Why not just buy the console that has DMCV on it? Why only stick with one platform?
Fuck off Capcom employees
Tell your bosses to stop being cheap faggots
Do you even know what a Switch is?
>Switch cartridges have trouble holding multiple games
No, it has a cheap publisher problem.
Have you just forgotten the disaster that was UMD already?
Because they are, they buy overpriced 7th gen hardware and overpriced 6th and 7th gen games.
If the Asian cartridge size is bigger than that means it's more expensive, which means it comes down to hedging on possible sales.
There's no physical version of Persona 3 FES on PS3 but you don't see me reeeing like you are at this moment.
>If the Asian cartridge size is bigger
Nope, Square Enix is just aware Downloads do poorly in the region.
The cartridge sizes are the same.
Try again.
>faster
>sturdier
>can contain extra hardware
>discs are NEVER good in a portable, literally the reason the PSP is shit
yes
>Plenty of shitty 2 team indie devs releasing their games physically all over the place
>Capcom can't even release fucking Mega Man games physically
Capcom are dogshit publishers
This
They sorta learned their lesson with the vita but shit the bed every other way possible
>damage control
Because poverty.
>Nintendo makes a shit console that barely runs things better than a phone with shit storage space
>It's the publisher's fault; they're being lazy
Loving this new tendie tactic.
Capcom is the one in the wrong here, why do you only make it about the switch?
>wanting a physical playstation game on a nintendo console
You don't hear basednyggers complaining about physical editions of Mario.
the issue isn't that the cartridges can't hold multiple games, but anything above 16gb requires a special type of circuit that you have to shell extra to manufacture which is why companies ask users to download half of the game instead of just downsizing/compressing assets like old times
>Excuses
If you can afford internet and a Switch, you can afford another platform to play more games on.
No, it's been reported the cart for the Asian release is actually bigger. This isn't a good excuse because the western release should also have the bigger cart size (they're saving like $0.05 cents per cart). But I'm just saying, the cart is bigger in Japan.
SquareEnix is quite famous for finding some way to screw the western release of almost all their games. While they know Asian audiences wouldn't put up with it. They have actual quality standards. Plus, bigger cart size or not, they're paying 20-50% more for domestic games.
There's also a possibility that they did that crappy download thing for FFX-2 to keep people from importing the game for cheaper. Because a Japanese consumer could same $20+ if they import the game from America. Same reason they won't release Japanese voices on the western release.
I have no intention of buying DMC1 a third time, but physical games are fucking gay. Good on Capcom.
>bbbbbbbbut muh third world internet speeds!!!!
Get fucked, nugget. No one gives a shit.
>sony and microsoft make devices with physical storage so slow it can't even be used to run the game off of
>Nintendo wisely uses solid state technology
>rich as fuck publisher too greedy and cheap to put their games on cartridge
>this is Nintendo's fault
fuck off
>it's been reported the cart for the Asian release is actually bigger
Well that's factually wrong
Any game that's over 16gb shouldn't be on the Switch in the first place. Besides, they can always just suck it up and announce it to be digital only and not charge full fucking price.
Are they retarded?
dmc 1-3 is like 15 dollars or someshit
I swear Capcom has 2 different teams working on switch ports.
>Dragon’s Dogma
Yo bro here’s the complete game on the single cart for 40$ and the only update is a cunt hair big grammar error fix Enjoy!
>RE4, DMC1
30$ no physical
Go fuck yourself you fucking fucks
Tell that all those disgusting poor people and not me.
yeah i can afford a ps4 easily, but i don't want one. why is that so hard to understand?
>paying a premium price for a poorly ported digital product
Crapcom fans in a nutshell
Ask Nintendo. They're the ones who opted for expensive ass cartridges over disc technology
Because bitching about not getting a port is easily confusing when you have the option to play it. Not every game needs to be multiplat. Where's the variety?
>with physical storage so slow it can't even be used to run the game off of
>Nintendo wisely uses solid state technology
Is this why most Switch ports are like 12fps and look like complete arse?
>expensive ass cartridges
But they're not expensive.
Low quality physical shovelware flooded the 3DS
The Switch gamecard is the same technology
Crapcom is shit is if you think that "they're back" then you are legitimately retarded.
It's expensive when devs started making games that are close to 50+gb in file size and haven't look back. People will shift the blame when I call out that most modern devs had completely forgotten how to optimize their games anymore.
Discs in a portable are a brilliant idea that couldn't possibly go wrong
>paying a premium price for a poorly ported physical product
Physical buypigs in a nutshell
>It's expensive when devs started making games that are close to 50+gb in file size
We're not talking about Fallout 76 how big is DMC? 2GB?
It'll sell like 10 copies anyway, who even asked for this?
That was less directed at Capcom and more about devs in general. Capcom's problem is just about being greedy and their fanbase defending them being greedy..
they are only made through nintendo and they are more expensive than most flash
because switch owners are third class citizens
They’re doing this because of the cost of cartridges. But why the fuck aren’t 2 and 3 being ported also? Funny enough, having a physical switch copy is the only console where having a copy means it’s ready to play out of the box. (minus the occasional games that need updates or they opted to keep portions of the game off of the cartridge to use a cheaper cartridge.)
Why is this supposed to be a big deal? It's just a game that will probably be released again a million times in the future. This is like being upset that Pink Floyd haven't re-released their music on cassette when when we're in the internet era.
Well, it's your word versus various publications online. Granted, neither is reliable. Also, if the cart size is the same, then SquareEnix is even more scummy for doing what they did. And it leans more towards what I said. Them doing it to keep Japanese players from importing the game.
It’s more expensive than discs. Publishers want as much margin as possible. Margin on cartridge games is definitely lower.
>only good game had been DMC
>ruined MH for the casual market
>ruined mvc for the casual market
>ruined SF for the casual market
>Mega Man's first non compilation game in almost 10 years was worse than 9 and 10 and didn't have any plans for dlc expansions
Comeback my ass.
i recall when it came out digitally in america that some nips were jealous and there was at least one japanese article about it.
Switch is just a platform to drop your old titles and make a quick buck because nintendummies are that desperate for games.
>Any game that's over 16gb shouldn't be on the Switch in the first place
weird reasoning, there's plenty of games over 16GB that the switch is capable of running that people would like to play on it.
>expensive ass cartridges
It's not the 90s anymore. Carts have been dirt cheap for a long time.
Blame Nintendo for releasing dated tech. Devs aren't going to fuck around just to cater to them. It's arrogant really
based and true
Yeah
It’s not like disc are easily breakable, scratchable and overall not very durable
>dated
>parts were two years old at the time of release
It's probably the first time a console had anything modern.
the smallest 3DS cart you could pay for was 128MB, that leaves a lot of room for shovelware. the larger carts did cause price issues for some, publishers seemed reluctant to use 4GB carts, and i'm not sure any game but xenoblade used the 8GB.
Nintendo fans are paying about $10-15 each for digital NES and SNES games when other companies make entire collections for only slightly more.
>Devs aren't going to fuck around just to cater to them
Then why have everyone but capcom been making new games for it?
>Why are Switch owners treated like third class citizens?
Because they are.
user, the NES/SNES games are like $5.
Most of those collections sell at 6 times that with 4 or so games.
>why are nintendo consoles always starved for 3rd party games?
every gen you lament the same shit and every gen we have to sit here and listen to it
A lot of those games came out on the NES/SNES Classic. It's for people who want to buy them separately.
And have you seen what Sony is asking for old games on their platforms?
Which begs the question, how much more expensive can it really be when the DS is flooded with said cartridges while not being sold at such high mark-ups?
If the game is over 16gb, it will require at least a decent amount of optimization to work without issues, which I highly doubt modern devs are capable of.
>Dated tech is why Capcom charges $30 for 10+ year old ports and why Switch owners have to settle for DMC1 when PS3 has the trilogy
You forgot the part where it's digital only as well.
>Do they really enjoy paying premium prices for 18 year old ports?
perfect for the switch
>Why are Switch owners treated like third class citizens?
It's because they're assholes.
>processor specs = storage specs
learn before you speak idiot
Bayonetta, you stupid ass
>imagine only owning a switch
lmao
>imagine owning a console
dont worry guys, you'll eventually get consistent 30FPS! While PC gets 240FPS 8K
yea well last time I checked my eyes are wide open in their default state.
>Legacy Collection 1: 345 MB
>Legacy Collection 2: 3.2 GB
That specifically means Capcom WAS more than capable of putting both games together on a single 4GB Cartridge.
try again
>only new games from capcom on switch have been Mega Man 11 and USFII(questionable as a contender at best)
>floods of 10-20-year-old ports
Capcom gave the fucking Wii way more support for new games than they're doing with the switch right now. It's the console's 3rd year and they STILL have nothing to show for it.
>solid state storage is dated tech
BASED consumer drone! Fuck actually owning things and shieeeet, just sell me licenses like the cuck I am!
Or they can pay for the 1GB cartridge, up-charge it by $10 regardless, and make the consumers download the rest of the game.
I just want Nintendo to make their own monhon clone so they can no longer give any fucks to Capcom anymore.
i only bought my xbox because the switch sucked
Only if you don't own a switch or a phone
don't forget there upcoming $200 mini console with a whole 16 roms illegally running on fb alpha
$268 and they bought a license from fbalpha with proof being directly from fbalpha's twitter.
At least be accurate if you're going to be pissed at a company.
Because the Switch, just like the Wii and Wii U, doesn't have enough power and you need to completely reconfigure your game to have it play on it. It isn't like the Gamecube where you can easily port your game like any other console. That's the problem with current Nintendo consoles, they are anti-3rd party.
My old toaster with a gtx650 and a FX-4300 could run DMC5 fairly well. Is the Switch weaker than that or Capcom would rather not realease the game at all than have it running at minimum settings on Switch
Why does Capcom treat the Switch like a literal garbage can?
>Capcom thinks we're buying a port DMC 1 when MM2, CTR, FE3 houses, Wolfenstein Young Blood and Astral Chain are also releasing this summer on switch.
Enjoy your failed game Capcom.
>Buying physical editions of games in a couple 2019.
Yikes.
