Itt: "bad" games that you unironically like

>itt: "bad" games that you unironically like
It can't be something that you like BECAUSE it's bad, it has to be a game that you actually enjoy despite it being seen as a bad game.
Give reasons why you like it if possible

Alan wake. I enjoyed the world, the characters, the story and the writing

League of Legends Season 1-3

Attached: She used to have tits too.jpg (501x769, 102K)

Is Alan Wake considered a bad game though? I've seen some hate for it, but it seemed pretty well received from what I've seen

Alan wake isn't even a bad game you goddamn moron, in fact, it's the last good new IP Microsoft published

i love the characters so much

I like Sonic 06.

Why so quick to insult?

Compared to most 3D sonic games, it's susprisingly less buggy.

Unironically a bunch of Sonic games. Unleashed on the Wii was really fun, and I enjoyed the Werehog sections. And Black Knight is actually one of the best fucking Sonic games, I love it so much.

Definitely didn't feel like that when it came out. In fact, I think this was the first Sonic game I hated, because the physics felt awful compared to the Adventure games and Heroes.

Despite enjoying the Gmecube era Sonics, I coudl never get into the Wii era

The Wii Era seemed to really dial up the emotional side to Sonic, and that's why Jason will always be my favourite voice for him. But even so, I also enjoyed the gameplay as well. The only game I couldn't really get into was Secret Rings, and that's due to the awkward gameplay, in my opinion. But I have great memories of Black Knight and Unleashed.

where the fuck are the killing floor posts

you people love that garbage

I wouldn't recommend The Last Guardian to anybody but I absolutely loved it from beginning to end.

Unleashed seems to be looked at semi-favorably nowadays

Kane & Lynch 2 had a style I really enjoyed, even though the final boss is a dog.

Too Human.
Beat it with every class and got all the no death achievements even on Ice Forest and its double augmentation bullshit.
>Alan Wake
>bad
what?

Monster Rancher 2 is not even remotely remember as fondly by anyone else, I don't think. But that game was something really different

The entire Kingdom Hearts series are my favorite games ever made and I love the plot.

On the same kind of wavelength, I love Sonic Heroes, more than any of the Adventure games. I think the aesthetics are great, the music is the best of that era, and the gameplay is pretty solid once you learn to work with the wonky physics.

I'm honestly really happy that slowly but surely we're growing out of the mindset of "Sonic always bad", and being able to look back on the games positively. Hopefully people can look back at Black Knight positively as well at some point, but that's just my bias, haha. Well, one thing we can say for certain is that at least the music in it kicks ass.

These. Remember - it's okay to like things while admitting they're not good.

I beat K&L 1+2, own both, enjoyed both, only remember 1 ends in Cuba? iirc. Don't remember 2 ending with a dog, lol!

I will impale big the cat with a metal rod, cut him up with a chainsaw, set him on fire, bash his skull in with a baseball bat, electrocute him, and throw him off of a skyscraper.

I unironically like League of Legends as a game, but I also don't play to win or even try to work with my team. I just get drunk, pick Kayn, and go from there.

If I win, I win. If I lose, I lose. But I enjoy playing that specific character so much that I don't care.

It's time to find froggy, and catch fish, and I'm all outta bait.

Underrated as fuck.

The whole Shadow the Hedgehog soundtrack is good, even if it's cheesy.

Too human was my shit too. Rip the sequel

The games themselves aren't bad at all except maybe 358/2 Days

It was a meme around here

Shadow the Hedgehog is a bitch ass motherfucker

No more Gods, no more graves.

Oof, that fucking thing...

FF13. I love the depth of the combat system, the ost is great, and love seeing a group of selfish assholes coming together to change the world.

I haven’t replayed these in years, but some ‘bad’ games I’ve liked over the ages

A bugs life (ps1)
Smurfs nightmare (gbc)
Bubsy 1 (genesis)
FarmVille (Facebook)
& Various sonic games

In general I’m fascinated by licensed games too, so there’s probably a lot more for that list I’m missing

>Depth of Combat
ok, nigger. Don't over sell it, yes, FFXIII is an adequate game, Orphan's Cradle was weird and goofy, Yaschas Massif was also the best part, but c'mon, depth??? lol

You take that back slut

>A bugs life (ps1)
Definitely this. The controls are kind of garbage but I still like the game.

Also contributing with DmC. The game has it's issues like the cringe dialogue and being too easy but I like pretty much everything else. The gameplay is fine, controls and camera are smooth and work perfectly and the visuals are nice. I've never been that big of a fan of DMC in general so I didn't really care about the bad pre-release PR either. Sue me.

Love how headshots were blurred out. Implied gore. The whole game is just Liveleak

>Physics felt awful compared to heres
Im sorry, I know this thread is for controversial opinions but what? Heroes? The game were every character's feet was covered in butter?

There's a lot of elbow room for customization and team formation in this game, and there are some genuinely funny dialogue options for Sonic.
The inputs you have to do for abilities can be very engaging at times.

I liked State of emergency 1 and 2
Bought the first multiple times due to various circumstances.

I liked Doom 3. Don't care that it wasn't about running at mach 3 killing piles of enemies, it had a great atmosphere and the core gameplay was good for what it was. Also I like FEAR 2 more than 1 solely for the aesthetic factor, it looks and feels much better, I always hated how ridiculously bad the first person models in FEAR 1 were, they look like something out of Operation Flashpoint.

Based, I actually really liked this game. Beat it like three times.

Zone of the Enders
>awful voice acting and plot
>very repetitive
>3 enemy types
>most subweapons aren't worth using
>can be beaten in an hour without trying all that hard
>most bosses die easily to dash laser spam
>final boss cannot be defeated, you just have to survive for a minute and then the game ends
>game pretty much only exists so they could slap a higher price tag on the MGS2 demo
Despite all that, the core mechanics are very solid and the combat is flashy and fun. 2nd Runner is a solid 8/10 and fixes a lot of the issues.

This isn't actually bad. It's basically Zelda 1 with voice acting and CD graphics. Pretty gnarly bosses too.

The cartoon ones were totally bad though.

Got my taste for music from this game (Still one of the best video game soundtracks I've ever heard). And I played it before I even knew what Max Payne was so the bullet time blew my fucking mind with how awesome it was.

Attached: WET.jpg (402x500, 76K)

EDF. The graphics and animations are terrible, the story doesn't bother, the core loop is mindless, and the enemy AI is borderline nonexistent. But it's oddly addicting for whatever reason.

Please note that this isn't actually a bad game, but this is by far the most unfairly treated Nintendo exclusive ever.

Great action, great ideas, great campaign, great multiplayer.

I unironically loved Mercenaries 2, it was my favorite game as a kid back when it first came out. Not technically bad so much as average (70 on Metacritic, which we know really means 60 or less), according to most reviews, but I had so much fucking fun just killing the entire Chinese and Venezuelan armies, hijacking vehicle after vehicle, and leveling Caracas to the ground. I still have yet to see a game that does destructible environments as well or just outright allows you to walk into a politically sensitive real-world area as an open world sandbox and kill half its population.

WE ALL DANCED IN FIRE
TRAPPED IN THIS MACHINE

I know it's not that good but I like the rhythm of battle and the writing is genuinely funny

Attached: TimeAndEternity (1).jpg (256x295, 50K)

that isn't a bad game it's a great game

wtf edf isn't bad

>itt: "bad" games that you unironically like
I like a handful of games that are objectively bad due to my very particular preferences in vidya and my ability to ignore a lot of major flaws. However some of these bad games are highly praised on Yea Forums so I don't know if that counts.

Digimon world 2
It's purely nostalgia + emulator speed-up.
Fuck i don't even think i know the last time I played through it entirely, it's such a fucking slog.
But god damn those boss tunes are jammin

First game in a long time to make my laugh out loud several times. The first couple of hours are great.

Shadow the Hedgehog was just Sonic 06 except it wasn't completely broken.
