Golden doesn't really do much to the existing setpieces, so I wouldn't expect that to change. Instead you have some extra events squeezed into old free time and the social links get delayed a bit as a result.

It does kind of look like Royal might be going down a different path after the Casino just due to Goro's different dialogue in the PV and Kasumi apparently joining around the Casino too. It also looks like the dungeons are getting revamped with new stuff like Joker getting around with a grappling hook.

I really like the new opening song. P5's initial OP felt kind of rushed since it really only focused on the initial trio so hopefully R doesn't do the same thing.

Ah that sounds cool. I never played Golden since I didn’t really think the extras were worth it but I think P5 has a lot more potential, since they could potentially stretch the game out from 12/25 to mid March easy.

I hope they revamp a ton of things, but the Akechi and Kasumi material is mostly stuff that doesn't need to affect much of the existing calendar, because Sae's palace is when they'll have to start rewriting Akechi, and that doesn't need to be finished until late November.

Vita would have little problems, if it can run something like Phantasy Star Nova or Catherine it can sure as hell run P5, which is a literal PS3 games like many others that have been ported there.
The point is that there's no meaning porting it since the system is 8 years old, out of production and can also play it with Remote Play to begin with.

vitas are pretty cheap, and with trinity release you can hack even modern firmwares(meaning literally any vita you buy is hackable right now). You could also get a vita TV, they work with p4g. and yeah p4g is basically p4+, versus p3p being like a sidegrade. New content, but worse cutscenes and graphical fidelity.

P3 FES added a bit of content but mostly focused on adding a hardcore dungeon crawling "epilogue" that continues the main story past the end.
Persona 3 Portable did not have the epilogue but added a female protagonist option which changes a lot of social links and scenes.
P4 Golden focused on filling in the blanks between the fake final boss and the true final boss which had a large timeskip between them. It also added more content and features in general.
Royal seems to be taking the Golden route, or something most similar to it. Except with P5 the true final boss is before the timeskip, so they're probably adding another final boss and continuing the story.

Weird, you might have some kind of defect. I'm one of the least flexible people I know and I can do it.

I can only speak on behalf of P4G since I never played P3P, but it will probably include gamebreaking new skills along with much easier boss fights if the director didn't learn anything from his work on P4G. I liked it as a nice retread of the original game with some bonus stuff like costumes, but even on Hard, it was so much easier than Normal in the original version. I didn't even have to grind at all or try to get the best Personas to stomp the true final boss. She wasn't even able to hurt me what with Naoto using her super busted shield skill that blocks one attack per turn.

I don't have enough reasons to buy a PS4 yet. She is one of them, however.
