Jump.

I believe in you.

then be at it for 3 hours.
what exactly are you struggling with

go to mt. kongo

The lightning part is the easiest bit though

Genichiro is literally one of the easier bosses in the game.

Get better. You'll face way harder bosses later, so much so that you will begin to think genichiro is easy

What are some good filters for Sekiro threads?

go explore other areas

less than half the players

easy mode

>git gud
>the thread
we all know the feeling, for best or worst, git gud

he was easy though

back in my day ornstein and smough took me like 20 hours the first time I beat it. Maybe like 10. I didn't get past it for two weeks. Two fucking weeks bro.

GET GUD.

Just be aggressive and stop trying run around so much. Stay in one place and learn to block and manage your posture buildup. It’s extremely easy if you still have Kuro’s Charm.

Legit best advice here

I'll admit I struggled a bit with Genchiro, more so than against Guardian ape or corrupted monk (haven't fought true form yet). The key for me was playing the first phase safe then getting the lighting reverse timing down. I mostly used the reverse jump slash to keep him at bay then used the safe punishes I got to wittle him down. It wasn't pretty but it worked. Then for the second phase you'll soon be able to see the tells of when he's about to do a lightning attack. That's the time to jump and R1 as it hits you. I believe in you user.

I've been at it for 32 years. Stop being a quitter.

People won't bring up O&S nearly as much because you can simply summon help. However, taking on O&S solo is one of the most frustrating fights in the game, by far. Satisfying as fuck to finally pull it off and I'll never summon help for that fight ever again.

This shit again, people who make these type of threads are so pathetic.

I've only done O&S with Ornstein dying last once and I did so by summoning. That's still the only souls boss I haven't killed alone. I considered committing harakiri but I'm too cowardly, so I'll just have to live with the shame

If you’re super aggressive he won’t even do the lightning. You can stop it

Give me advice for Emma+Isshin. They are ripping me a new one in NG+

>Shota
But then you miss other good threads.

I'll try that NG+. I'm playing mostly blind and the game goes on about lightning reverse so I figured that would be effective.

NIGGAS WANNA FIGHT ME?

FIGHT THIS TEARS

Lol, just beat his little weak bitch ass. The second half is a joke, one hit takes away like 10% of his life and if you do that lightning counter you get like 4 free hits in.

lightning is a blessing in this game.

Is that your pic?

Yeah.

Do Japanese men have hair like that? I've only seen them with short hair.

>mommymilkers
and just who might that be referring to

I'm thirty years old and I can't think of a single video game that I'm good at and I still managed to beat sekiro, trust me you can do this, thankfully the game isn't linear, there are other areas you can go off too instead of bashing yourhead against this one boss.

wtf you guys serious? Either order is easy af, since dark souls 1 (thankfully), isn't a slow floaty mess and character movement is fairly quick, that boss may have been difficult during its time but compared to modern engines its a piss easy shitty boss, I managed to kill smough first on an SL1 run, obviously no summons since that's the whole point of sl1, demons souls and dark souls 1 are now piss easy once bb and ds3 came out.

he definitely has it since you can't give it away on your first save, only subsequent save files and playthroughs.

>I've been at it for an hour
>then be at it for 3 hours
>git gud
>back in my day ornstein and smough took me like 20 hours

>spending that much time on a single task
>in a video game
FROM games are truly for autists. What a bunch of losers. Imagine what you could have done in that time.

Just wail on Emma. If you aren't confident in deflecting her Ashina Cross or sidestepping her grab, then run away instead.

Stay close to Isshin when he's performing his Ashina Cross. He'll change it into a a regular attack followed by an easily punishable sweep.

just wait until you fight the demon of hatred

Difficulty doesn't necessarily make a fight good. Owl is comparatively easy to other bosses but he's much more engaging than them. His theme kicks ass too.

Easily my favorite mid-game skill check boss.

Keep trying then.
Tip. When he does a sweep, jump over it and jump on him

owl is amazing because he shares a lot of moveset as the player desu, first time he mikiri's you was orgasmic, since up until that point almost everyone abuses thrust attacks since you're the only entity in the game that counters them, guess again.

Reminder that the nes era was made up of a library of games most people couldn't complete at all, but everyone still had fun trying to get as far as they could, or do the unthinkable and beat something like battletoads.

It's pretty funny going from that to now
>OMG I can't beat this 1 new game, so it's bad and the world is bad and mean and ableist

So this is what happens to a generation what was never asked to put forth a single ounce of effort into anything, truly amazing.

If I can do it, you can do it.

>mfw beat genichiros second form on the first try

footstool him into jumping double ichimonji

REVERSE THE LIGHTINING

does he got a lightning boner or something?

I think most people beat Way of Tomoe on first or second try. He's easier than Normal Genichiro by that point.

Wouldn't have been as useful as,

GITTING.

GUD.

Yeah, well think of that part in that one game that took you like 40 tries to nail it. I beat that on my first try, bro do you even game?

Firecracker Isshin once he starts charging up for crazy fire moves
