It subverted my expectations a bit, when he absorbed Shizue and learned how to transform into humans I thought the rest of the series would be him transformed into what he looked like back before he died.

It's annoying how later on in the novels it shows that every country outside of South Korea is run by corrupt shitheads and proceeds to talk about how great and pure South Korea is. Sure, nationalism is fine, but be subtle about it.

Any kind of media that does this shit just irks me, It was annoying when it was done in GATE with Japan being shown as an unbeatable power that has never done anything wrong.

Same with American media, America is never the bad guy, they're the good guy who never does anything wrong. It's jarring to see major powers portrayed in such one dimensional views of being good/evil.

It does it incredibly poorly, and is hot garbage, but it's different enough that retards pick it up off the shelves.

The novel turn into total shit after 100 chapters, just like other korean crap. The bullshit nationalism in this one is really high.

Why is it that all of these isekai stories are only fun for the first few episodes of set-up, and occasionally the resolution of the first minor roadblock?

Are there no isekai series with any kind of stakes? I can understand not killing off the hero, but in every single one of these fucking stories I start rolling my eyes the 80th time every single member of the hero's entourage manages to narrowly avoid dying or some shit.

It just makes these fantasy worlds seem bland. Where's the edge, where's the frustration of burying your new friends because it turns out hunting monsters isn't a job with decent life expectancy, and that's why the pay is good?
