It took me 4 attempts to beat this guy and I didn’t even use prosthetics. Why were there so many threads about him Yea Forums?
It took me 4 attempts to beat this guy and I didn’t even use prosthetics...
One of the harder boss in the game but still nothing compared to the final boss
i quit once i realized he was throwing his shite at me
i play games to not be grossed out
user there were literally novel-sized compilations of people screaming about CHAINED OGRE saying he was literally impossible.
PAGES UPON PAGES of people saying chained ogre is completely unfair and impossible
Think about that then your answer about grape ape will be found
I don’t get it.
the game was new and there wasnt guides readily available.
how was chained ogre hard?
If a person is retarded enough to think chained ogre is max level artificial difficulty, then grape ape would seem like a message from satan himself
Chained ogre was the guy at the top of the steps that busted out after you hit him a couple times right? Took me a couple attempts to learn how to dodge his moves but he wasn't bad. Now that shinobi hunter fuck, I'm still stuck on...
I guess that makes sense. To be fair though, I think chained ogre was difficult because of how early he is introduced and how players are still adapting to the dodge/parry mechanics. Once you’ve gotten far enough in the game you should know better.
From my experience with the game so far, you can literally beat every boss with the same strategy. Be conservative with your attacks and dodge/parry until posture breaks.
>throws shit at you
>farts on you
>fights you decapitated with a bloody stump of a neck
>you end up yanking a bigass centipede out of his severed neck
I mean sure if you're a wimp I can see how any of that would gross you out.
>shinobi hunter
Just Mikiri him to death.
Because they don't know how to hit and run.
*scoots closer to you*
I landed one and he pushed me away.
yes but he takes a decent amount of posture damage because of it
I didn’t even die to this guy. You literally practice parrying all of his attacks as you make your way through the castle.
It's not an instant win button, and it's very easy to bait out his perilous moves. You need to make what would seem a disadvantage into an advantage, you WANT them to use those moves because you can fuck them up easier.
Senpou Leaping Kicks/High Monk, although recently nerfed, are still useful to have against sweeping attacks and you've got your Mikiri counter for thrusting attacks. Enemies will do certain attacks depending on if you dodge or deflect one of theirs, once you figure that out you pretty much control the fight.
But I ran past all them.
Use the flame umbrella.
because he's cool. and he's distinct from most other bosses in the souls series. the amount of movement he has is unmatched.
It takes 2 or 3 for his posture.
Train on Hanbei if you have any troubles with Mikiri.
Why would you do that? just double tap block when you see his sheath flash and then if you have ashine cross use it before him to absolutely fuck his stance
*r2*
I beat the ape and the final boss on my first try come at me nerds.
Shinobi Hunter killed me like 5
I legitimately thought shinobi hunter was a trash mob until he got back up after the first deathblow. How the fuck are people having trouble with him?
Going to hirata estate before you unlock Mikiri
Yea Forums is bad at videogames. you see how many people complained about chained ogre when you can literally run circles around him and get hits in during his long ass attack animations?
im not trying to gloat or anything but beating genichiro 2nd attempt with the demon bell and then seeing all these threads really opened my eyes.
The camera in this fight is what makes it difficult. Also most people don’t know you can counter his kicks.
I remember that one guy who kept spamming the chained ogre fight but when I reached him, I killed him in one try. How bad do you have to be to sperg about that boss
