The single quickest way of checking is to look for a double digit indented on the label. Compare with legit carts for a reference. Yours looks dodgy just from the label design though

Legit Gameboy Advance games ALWAYS have little embossed letters or numbers on the label and fake ones never do. That's the easiest way to tell as long as the label is still intact

Gen 2 sold around 30 million copies. Something that common won't end up very valuable for a long time.

Also, original copies usually require an internal battery replacement to play properly, which further diminishes value. A lot of older Pokémon games these days are still bought just to be played, so a copy with an original battery is worth less.

When you replace the battery, there's a second glitch that happens in that the time starts counting from 1/1/1900 0:00, and it won't update daily events.

Easily fixed by dumping your savefile and editing it in PokeHex, but you'll obviously need someway to dump the save (DS with an R4, or a Gameshark)

You can, but you have to make it worth your while. Research games people want and create those. Go as authentic looking as possible, or just slap some fan translations of stuff (Fire Emblem 6 and Mother 3 are obvious examples)

Yeah, that's an easy patch fix but like you say, requires two Gameboys, FR/LG or Emerald, and the offending RS carts. RS can't distribute it, just have it applied. I think RS can only distribute the Eon Ticket once it gets it.

This is fake. You can tell by the arrangement of chip ports on the back, it's using a non standard 3x9 binomial layout. There's one too many DMA pins in the cartridge slot which was typical of fake boards that didn't prune its pins to the manufacturer standard, as they use hardware right out of the factory. That's a Korean board made of spare parts. What you got there is a fake cartridge user, sorry. It is likely the Korean distributor dumped bootleg data on the cart, so the game will have very tiny differences that are hard to notice, but will slightly mess with the graphics and gameplay unpredictably.
