This thread seems appropriate to ask Best way of modding Oblivion and Skyrim? Mainly graphics, different weapons, faces, armor, XP-mod, stuff like that. What mod manager to use? I played around with it a few years ago but at one point my game just kept crashing and having all sorts of problems. I'm not tech illiterate, but I can't be bothered to spend hours getting it to work and download every mod one by one. Do modpacks exist so I don't have to install everything?
first wish is that it comes out in the next 5 years

>Setting (doesn't have to be what the trailer shows its what you want) Hammerfell, High Rock, Iliac bay and surrounding ocean and islands like Stros M'Kai >Main gimmick Piracy and sailing and boarding ships(like black flag), Seamless world(go from city port to boat to ocean to island) >Story The tower nonsense. I don't really care. I just want to take orc waifus on the high seas.
based on what I have seen so far with the hints and rumors this all seems highly likely. so i'm hyped as fuck.
Why the fuck would you want the same area again from 2 games ago, are you fucking retarded?
Joseph Brown
this but with blackpowder cannons and islamic inspired mythos

Summerset Isles or Valenwood. None. None. None. Same as op, a second war between the empire and aldmeri dominion. Cringe. 76 was made by a different team. The main team is making Starfield.
Zachary Turner

Elder Scrolls was never a purely European fantasy setting fucking zoomer

>>Setting (doesn't have to be what the trailer shows its what you want) >black marsh >>Main characters special destiny (doesn't have to be one) >lizard shit >>Main gimmick >lizard man has giant 20inch penis he flails around >>Endgame status (if you didn't pick a destiny then you don't have one) >also lizard shit >>Story >something about lizard men
>For it to a good game >No lies from Todd/BGS >No microtransaction shit >Steam only >No forced paid mod shit for PC >For Bethesda to find a way to not make it even MORE casual than Skyrim
none of these things will happen tho, this game is DOA

>GIANT world >massively expanded settlement system with a certain degree of automation >simulated economy and cities >spell casting like Skyrim but with more effect and spell crafting added in >cool ass vampire mechanics that make you a beast during the night and a bitch during the day >massively expanded perk tree, Ordinator style with unique effects >terrain destruction and creation >dynamic world evolution with wars and shit going on between factions and cities >REAL thieving in cities with greatly expanded ways to approach targets and smarter NPC's >each city is the same size as Novigrad and just as populated
Basically I wish for the impossible.
Brody Allen
It's mostly tolkien inspired fantasy, why rewrite it to contain a bunch muslim bullshit? if you want shit from desert religions there's better stuff than fucking islam. dirty turkroaches aren't european
I just want the Thalmor to get btfo and the whole region to become a Warring States period. Also seemless travel and seriously more developed RPG/magic mechanics. Player should be able to start a life in multiple situations but will ultimately become the chosen one in one of the three paths (thief, mage, warrior) but never becomes the sole Mary Sue of the faction conflict. Instead, they influence the real chosen one who unifies a second empire or some shit.
Matthew Jones
>It's mostly tolkien inspired fantasy, why rewrite it to contain a bunch muslim bullshit?
They must have been making starfield for the last 20 years because they stopped making good games since Morrowind. Also who gives a fuck about starfield when they outright told us that it runs on shitty old Creation/Gamebryo engine. It's will be a broken pile of shit on release that they will never actually fix.
Wyatt Morris
Daggerfall-esque randomly generated world BUT players can customize and change locations, make dungeons dungeon keeper-style, build towns, leave items lying around, etc.. You can sync your game online and your game gets populated with a selection of other people's stuff. Basically you get a huge world, larger than the previous fully 3D TES games, but unlike Daggerfall with handcrafted content incrementally made by players as slave labor. If you want a blank slate world, you can disable syncing, or disable it for specific areas if you want to mod some shit there.
Zachary Parker
>GIANT world >each city is the same size as Novigrad and just as populated This is all I've wanted since day one

>Combat Like Morrowind. And here comes the autistic screaming of a bunch of fucking Skyrimjob FPS fanboys who think RPGs should play like action FPS games.
Christian Lee
Maybe they should just play like actual video games?
Blake Reyes
Its going to be shit for the first 5 years anyway
Brody Garcia
like what?
Christian Wood
Are you asking me just so that you'll autistically lash out against whatever I say because it's not in accordance with how you think?
Nathaniel Richardson
Graphics that aren’t washed out dogshit Natural looking animations Fluid gameplay Not removing features and bringing back old ones Quests with actual creativity put into them
Grayson Sanders
Another glitchfest fixed by community mods.

Morrowind combat is garbage, oblivion and skyrim combat is also garbage, have good combat or go turn based, dumb elder scrolls pleb.
>elder scrolls >compelling and deep Whatever you say, Todd.
Grayson Cooper
Not him but mount and blade had good combat. You can mod Skyrim to play like it and it's such a genuine improvement. Never liked the railroaded combat in other western action RPGs.

good melee combat in gaming doesn't exist.
>skyrim dogshit and floaty >kingdom come dogshit and floaty >dark messiah of might and magic dogshit and floaty >DMC and DMC clones (includes dark souls and all its derivatives) dogshit and floaty >mount and blade dogshit and floaty >exanima fuck you
There hasn't been a single game that did melee combat well. fight me
Angel Parker
Starfield is just going to be Fallout 4's settlement system in space. >I've got word of another planet that needs our help. I'll mark the location on your map.
Dylan Perry
Compared to other RPGs? Ya absolutely. Usually dnd or Tolkein clones just feel like throw away world's.
Angel Rodriguez
>massively expanded settlement system with a certain degree of automation God dammit fuck you Fuck settlements If I wanted to play The Sims I would have bought the Sims.
Nathan Thomas
Setting: Valenwood. I want really comfy magical forests and tree towns. Destiny: none. I prefer no destiny. A mantling like Morrowind is alright though. Main gimmick: I would prefer no gimmick. I hated both the oblivion gates and dragons and found them distracting. Story: two concurrent stories, one about the thalmor trying to unmake reality and another about saving the forest
Ayden Rivera
-large dungeons -no crashes -all the features that morrowind had and was removed in later games -long guild questlines instead of that pathetic excuse in skyrim
Liam Parker
souls series and sekiro
Christopher Gutierrez
Mount and Blade is great but in a high fantasy setting i prefer something more like DD
Kevin Myers
no, fuck you.
Cooper Reed
>sekiro >dude parry lmao It's shit, Nioh is a million times better.

Use Mod Organizer 2. I switched from Nexus Mod Manager and would never look back. The virtual file system they use is enough to warrant switching over alone. Instead of just unzipping mods into your Skyrim directory (what NMM does) it extracts them into their own folders outside of the Skyrim directory and then makes the game look in those folders for the mod content. Thta's a shitty, basic and brief description, but it's well worth looking into.
Jose Sullivan
Imagine if the dungeons felt like actual dungeons and weren't just roller coaster rides that have you go through four narrow corridors only to circle back to where you started in the end.
Logan Richardson
Wishlist that doesn't follow OP's format.
1. A new fucking engine 2. Better PR hires 3. Better default animations 4. An actually good storyline 5. More than just a couple of non-mainline quests that have a legit story to them 6. A better gear/enchanting system that isn't so fucking boring 7. Battles with more than 16 NPCs on-screen at a time 8. Less copy-paste dungeons 9. Actual modern graphics 10. Better customization so characters don't look like dogshit unmodded 11. No microtransactions 12. No online 13. Better spells 14. Better combat 15. "Cities" that aren't just 10 fucking houses and a tiny wall 16. More than 20 NPCs present in cities 17. Better stealth mechanics 18. More diverse wildlife 19. Better flora/fauna 20. More unique things to explore than just copy pasted dungeon #37 21. Better vendors, especially ones that carry more than a pocket's worth of gold. 22. Better AI 23. A color palette that isn't so gray 24. Todd Howard's head on a pike
None of this will happen because I'm already convinced they're going to basically use everything from Skyrim Special Edition and just make a new world for it and call it a day.
Grayson Bell
TES is a throw away world, it has lots of lore but all of it's generic shit that wouldn't be out of place in any other high fantasy game. Morrowind was the only interesting part of this series, and Bethesda won't make anything that good ever again.
Noah Carter
>1. A new fucking engine Not happening. Your list is shit out of the gates.
Cameron Baker
Who gives a shit about the setting, there are bigger concerns considering it's a Bethesda game. It needs >a new engine, or complete overhaul of the previous one >no scaling >no unrestricted fast travel >more dungeon themes, reusing assets only to a minimum >melee combat that doesn't feel like ass >properly designed difficulty and balance All these things that will not happen, because BGS is a pack of con artists, not developers.
