They've said they don't know whether the extra content will come out for the original game. With Nintendo publishing the game in the West, it wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't.

You picked a good stopping point. 6 & 7 were depressingly mediocre. I liked ORAS but in terms of remakes they were a pretty big step back from HGSS.

I honestly don't like Pikmin that much and would be pretty disappointed if its an E3 reveal, when it should've been revealed years ago.
