>While Monster Hunter World did not achieve any further sales milestone beyondthe latest 12 million shipments figureas of March 31, its sales are defined “Strong.”
>Resident Evil 2 is defined as a “major hit,” having shippedover 4 million units. Devil May Cry 5 shipped2 million unitsbacked by its “popularity in overseas markets.”
>Interestingly, Capcom points to a slowdown in mobile games offset by “steady” growth in the console/PC market, even if said growth is seen as “uneven
>We get additional information about the Digital Contents business, which relates to video games. We learn that Resident Evil 2 “Exceeded Expectations” and Devil May Cry 5 “Performed Strongly.” The PC version of Monster Hunter World also showcased “solid” performance.
>Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for Switch saw “robust” sales in the western markets, whileMega Man 11 andStreet Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection also performed well.
>MegaMan 11 performed well Huh. Guess this puts a stop to the "7 sales" meme.
Kevin Brooks
How's 12 millions just "strong", but 4 millions is a "major hit"?
Aaron Campbell
Man, that is some wholesome news I guess time is a factor, MH released january last year while REmake was january this year, I guess sale have been comparatively better according to higher ups (?)
Nathan Torres
They're talking about MHW's sales after the last update.
They will announce it next year. This year is too early
Jordan Ramirez
>While Monster Hunter World did not achieve any further sales milestone beyondthe latest 12 million shipments figureas of March 31 Lmao, the game is already dead
Jackson Clark
The insider told that REmake3 is coming sooner than we expect so...
Andrew Cooper
NOOO MICHAEL AND BARRY SAID THE GAMES WOULD NEVER REACH EVEN A MILLION AND WOULD BE THE DEATH OF CAPCOM!
Charles Garcia
POWER STONE AND RIVAL SCHOOLS WHEN YOU COWARDS!?
John Lewis
>shipped >shipped >shipped >""""strong"""" global shelves warming is real.
Jaxson Nguyen
>Megaman 11 performed well Are we gonna be ok afterall Megabros?
Hope so. 11 was great. Hope they keep the dual gear gimmick in a possible sequel. Also, bring back megaman x. At this point I´d be ok with a reboot of it, honestly. Current plot is a mess
Jacob Morales
Proto Man dlc fucking never unfortunately.
Joshua Williams
Physical sales of video games, etc. has always been shipped copies. It's not possible to track actual sales.
Noah Gutierrez
I miss viewtiful chad
Asher Wood
I just hope they reboot Battle Network Capcom is all over the Switch like white on rice
Ryan Parker
>>While Monster Hunter World did not achieve any further sales milestone beyondthe latest 12 million shipments figureas of March 31, its sales are defined “Strong.” And it's unlikely that they're going to achieve that much again Most of the game sales were from normies who saw shit like "It's like destiny with dragons"
Blake Ramirez
They already reported around 850k sales a few months back. Could be around a million now, but I think they'd mention it more confidently if it had crossed that mark.
Matthew Russell
>. has always been shipped copies this is wrong.
Sebastian Ward
>W-well perhaps it sold well b-but it definitely will never happen again!!
Fucking Switchlet, fuck off.
Jaxon Hill
It's utterly impossible to track physical copies sold to customers. Physical video game sales have always been shipped copies. This is a fact. Shut up if you don't know anything about these things.
>pitting the only two good (and currently alive) action game franchises against one another stop
Jonathan Perry
I have the ps4 collectors edition, so if you don't have any arguments suck my fucking cock
Zachary Davis
>Devil May Cry 5 shipped2 million unitsbacked by its “popularity in overseas markets.” 2 million isn't that good considering I saw ads for it everywhere. I saw more ads online for DMC 5 than RDR 2.
Carter Sanchez
>Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for Switch saw “robust” sales in the western markets Xiii......
Ryder Morgan
if they hire platinum to make either, sure
Robert Green
>Xiii quer ir tomar no cu nao irmao?
Leo Gutierrez
Why can't we have both user?
Christopher Brooks
Why? For a change someone in here is comparing two games that are actually similar and compete in the same market. Do you think one´s devs don´t look at the other to see what they do right and wrong? With no competition there´s no push for improvement
Nicholas Thompson
U mad shitendista de bost@? Vai dar o cu e gritar BING BING para o seu macho negro, vai.

Here's hoping they redeem themselves with SF6. Otherwise I'll be sad since they got me into the genre but its grown enough to not need them now. Rest of their IPs are stellar, waiting on Iceborne and maybe Dragons Dogma 2.
>3 still not in development >Lost the guy who directed 2 >Platinum games already has a ton of projects going >Recently said 3 would be different than 1 and 2
>3 still not in development It is >Lost the guy who directed 2 Good sign. >Platinum games already has a ton of projects going Madworld, Infinite Space, Bayonetta, and Vanquish all came out within a year of one another. Same with MGR, W101, Bayo 2, and Korra. They don't have any more projects going on simultaneously now than usual. >Recently said 3 would be different than 1 and 2 Probably their best chance at making something good, especially if Kamiya isn't directing, and he most likely isn't.
Well they did mention stuff about esports >Moreover, in the fast-growing esports business, the Company, in addition to leveraging its abundant experience and operational knowhow accumulated over the years in the US, intends to make a full-scale entry into the market and gain a firm footing through the allocation of the necessary funds and human resources.
Though when they say entry to the market, I believe that means establish themselves in the US esports business not a new title. But seeing as SF is currently their only title to fit the bill it could mean something. I would lean to supporting SFV more being more likely, but it has been 5 months since the last DLC character with no news on what is happening. Entrants and views are down again, I'm amazed to see Tekken actually having more entrants at many events now. But I also don't think SF6 is happening soon, with Ono being sidelined that whole division is in an odd spot. Plus I think a lot of people just aren't willing to forgive them yet. Who knows
No need, you look like you already touch yourself way too much
Hudson Torres
for the switch? ok fag.
Isaac Gomez
>whileMega Man 11 also performed well. Mexaman X 9 when?
Joshua Reed
All I take from this is that we're not getting Onimusha 2/3/4.
Sebastian Myers
Probably the next game they're working on, aside from the mobile games.
Jaxson Parker
I hope since we actually got fucked with the online system on DMC5 they used it to beta test online for a Outbreak remake.
Brody Anderson
It´s Yea Forums. There will be shitposting. Doesn´t make comparing games that are comparable a bad thing
Oliver Adams
Dragons Dogma 2 when?
Noah Jackson
What you're writing is fine and all but unfortunately, I'm one of those people, you know, those that can't stand SF5 at its core, its mechanics, the way footsies are played, its normals, its whiff punishing, defensive/offensive options, almost everything gameplay related about it.
All the correct marketing moves for SF5 would not change my point in the slightest. And I think almost 800 hours of me trying to like it has solidified that. That's why they can do whatever they want with 5 but I'm willing to give them a 2nd chance ONLY if they make a new one.
Nicholas Cooper
Now, now, Cheshire... Wouldn't want to get your blood flowing before you dilate, now, would we?
Justin Mitchell
>dmc is done as a franchise yeah great comparing and criticism there
The question is when will things go back to shit. It's a cycle.
Brandon Lopez
Okami 2 when ?
Anthony Foster
Wasn´t me saying that user and obviously that other user is a retarded shitposter
Juan Jackson
You wish, discord trannyfucker
Jaxon Ward
Okami 2 is already included in the game Okami. It's the middle part.
Isaiah Sullivan
Console warriors are fucking retarded
Henry Allen
>source my ass I want to break your fucking skull with Rebellion
Gabriel Walker
You're the reason why Yea Forums shouldn't attempt to talk about games sales or market in general.
Noah Ramirez
Do they even still have mobile games? It makes sense for them to say mobile games are slowing down because all of the ones they made were pretty terrible, even for mobile games.
>As such, to generate synergy with its popular games via greater global brand awareness and value, the Company has been producing world-leading content, with brands such as Street Fighter and Resident Evil being made into Hollywood movies They best be talking about the old one and not Legend of Chun-li
>All the correct marketing moves for SF5 would not change my point in the slightest. I don't like the game either, I was just pointing put the one thing that has a chance of keeping SF relevant to capcom. With Ono being a fuck up there is no one to really push for it inside the company. All the old devs have left, Oda is back with SNK, even Seth and Combofiend are gone. SF6 will most likely happen if Capcom is serious enough about esports but come to believe SFV can't sustain it
Joseph Ward
Battle Network had a proper ending, it doesn't need a reboot or a sequel. I'll gladly take a battle network collection though
Alexander Gutierrez
Perhaps they mean like, the phone version of monster hunter stores?
Cooper Hughes
It wasn't me that wrote that, but i believe it because someone leaked DMC5 here and no one believed either
I still don't understand why they made that. Everyone with a 3DS, which is 100% of jap population and 70% of the rest of the world played it already.
And I think phone ver. doesn't have the extra scenario that was added to the jap 3DS ver. later did it? Pissed me the hell off when neither platform got it localized.
Brandon Taylor
>DMC is done as a franchise.
How? It's gonna end up selling more than Bayonetta 3
Jason Gonzalez
>Fake image >Real leak how did he do it?
Gabriel Evans
The image wasn't supposed to prove anything.
Jayden Turner
DMC 5 has outsold the entirety of the poor mans dmc franchise known as bayonetta.
Xavier Ortiz
>s mechanics, the way footsies are played, its normals, its whiff punishing I am sorry, you probably have a good reason for this, but whenever I see comments like this, about ANY GAME not just SF5, half the time it's salty SFIV players who think that "footsies" means "Whiffing normals at half screen" because IV is all they've played.
Not that there's any love lost between myself and 5. Basically the only halfway decent move Capcom did with 5, was bringing my nigga Alex back.
Landon Rodriguez
Yes, I liked 4 and don't like 5. 4 is also a game with many problems but I liked playing it even with them. No fighting game is ever without problems or perfectly balanced.
Its always about what you, the player, likes. I think I made it clear in my post that I personally didn't like those gameplay parts I mentioned. Whoever likes them, more power to them, I didn't and spent an unnatural amount of time confirming that. Never did I mention anything about balance or bad design, it was always about how I perceived the game myself.
Jeremiah Stewart
>God Hand comes back with even worse reviews because journos have gotten only worse since 2005 and cant comprehend gameplay requiring more than 2 inputs
Nolan Sanchez
Different budgets you retarded Amerifatski. Revenue != Profits.
Not to a single unit accuracy. But it sure as hell is possible to track sales. What do you think NPD, meadia create, gfk and sell and whatever they are called do? Do you think retailers scan every single sold units just for fun and giggles and then later discard those numbers because nobody needs to know actual sales?
Nathan Diaz
Its amazing how many times shit gets leaked on Yea Forums and no one believes them. Granted its like 1/1000 that are true, but it still happens frequently.
Probably wasn't fake at the time, it was just never used by marketing before the team changed it.
Nathaniel Jenkins
Nah, the image has been in use for many years as generic DMC5 leak thread OP.
Jacob Cooper
>slowdown of mobile games Thats do weird to here in this day and age. Pelrhaps the mobile game Market is getting oversaturated
