Most of the first palace time is pretty restricted comparatively, it's basically a fairly lengthy tutorial for the most part.

Things get a bit more open during the second, from my experience so far anyways. Nice to be able to bullrush through a Palace ASAP and have the rest of the 10 or so days free to fuck around with whatever.

As for air cooling, its just easier to setup, plain and simple. Water cooling is nice, sure, but hardly needed unless you're overclocking.
