I hate how steeped in animu tropes the series is now. Fire emblem 4 isn't Tolkien or anything but it's got a decent, serious story and good gameplay. I was pretty excited about this new FE game until I saw that the plot is high school students saving the world or whatever, not interested. Too bad, I like having each unit represent the leader of a squad rather than just being individuals because I always thought it was weird how these grand epic fantasy battles were only made up of like 20 combatants in the old games.

Pokemon shows that Gamefreak doesn't innovate and can't into xenoblade2 maps. It is disappointing, but Pokemon still is more or less pleasant to look at. It is upgraded Sun and Moon and SM, smallest possible step forward for them, but SM looked fine. Fire Emblem is straight up ugly and aesthetically feels like downgrade from handheld.

Why even bring this up? Nintendo consoles haven't been meant for that sort of thing since the Gamecube. Nintendo consoles are for Nintendo exclusives, and with the Switch, ports of old games and indie titles and precious little else.

Redout is coming out on Switch soon, if I'm not mistaken. I tried playing it on PC, but I wasn't impressed. Maybe I judget it too quickly or was biased, I don't know. I didn't like the sound, it doesn't have that ''impact'' sound (like when you hit walls or jump and hit the ground like in Fast RMX) and the OST was meh.
Maybe I should give it another chance.
