If Sasaki isn't grand saber I will shit

Worst servant

Attached: 1544517856204.webm (740x416, 2.74M)

Such a head scratcher, this guy. He might've won if he didn't announce every single fucking detail of what he was going to do. Was he even trying to win at all?

He was just being honorable

Attached: 1554277270086.webm (744x418, 2.61M)

>Was he even trying to win at all
Can't imagine he was, dude wasn't even supposed to be there technically

Best character wasn't even a servant.

This from the DEEN movie? Doesn't look great

I still don't get how this guy's skill works. He attacks three times at once? How does that even work?

He basically was just there to have a good fight
He didn't even bother hiding his true name. He introduced himself as Sasaki Kojiro instead of Assassin

It's something that almost reaches the level of true magic because of his sparrow autism. But yes, he basically slashes from 3 directions at once.

So Caster kills millions only to waste energy on maintaining an NPC servant who's not even good at his job?

Correct.

All that energy didn't go to him, it went to herself.

favorite character had a minor role

>The ultimate sword technique that assaults the opponent from three directions “simultaneously”. Strictly speaking, this is neither a Noble Phantasm nor a magical phenomenon. The nameless martial artist who materialised as “Kojiro” sought nothing but the pinnacle of swordsmanship during his life. He trained himself in pursuit of swordsmanship, and doing nothing but swing his sword. After a long period of time, his technique finally reached another state. A flash from this world, followed by two absolutely simultaneous, over-lapping flashes that disregard the concept of time and space, producing a slash attack that arrives from three different directions. This is the “Multidimensional Refraction Phenomenon—Kischua Zelretch” that transcends speed, dexterity, feint and many other elements. Although with some limitations, a nameless martial artist who knows naught of sorcery or True Magic is able to tread into the realm of the “Second Magic”.

Second Magic is basically all about parallel worlds.

How exactly was Saber even able to dodge this?

Just put your sword in the middle.

Caster didn't kill anyone.

And he learned all that just to fuck up some swallows.

I remember that, because he was autistic enough to challenge her while they were on steps.
>Second time his sword was damaged
How and when did his happen?

I'm gonna whale the fuck out of this guy, he's incredible and super good. Him being the most grailed person on JP is the proof that japs have taste sometimes.

>Fought someone who relies primarily on her parameters not her skill when it comes to combat

Early Fate was very westaboo with Kojiro being one of the only jap Servants for a long time.

Who? And what's he do?

During the second fight
All this time he was just parrying Excalibur's blows but he wanted to bring the fight to an even ground so he can properly use Tsubame Gaeshi but it got bent at the first clash of their swords, which he didn't expect

The UBW anime made weird changes to his fights for no reason. I feel bad for secondaries but the music that plays when he has talk with saber the last fight as kino. Lightning swordsman is kino too.

Funny because Word of God literally states Lancelot couldn't have went toe to toe with Gilgamesh if it weren't for his buffed stats due to being a Berserker

>who's not even good at his job
He's cheating a bit due to the terrain, Caster's barrier enforcing penalties, etc, but Kojirou successfully repelled every servant of the war including Bahsahkah excluding King of Jobbers at some point, so I'd say he did a great job at guarding the gate.

There's also a lot of upcoming wank from Kojirou(True) in Shimosa to look forward to for NAfriends

Caster never killed anyone besides her dickhead original master.

His voice is also sexy as fuck, no homo

Okada Izou, one of the manslayers of the Bakumatsu era.
His NP is called Shimatsuken.
>Manslayer Izou's heretic blade. A noble phantasm that allows him to reproduce any sword technique he's seen before as his own. When summoned, this includes the techniques he remembers from his life, but even after that, by seeing new techniques, it is possible to enhance this even further.
>However, what he can reproduce is limited to swordplay, and only anti-unit skills at that. Those whose techniques depend solely on the characteristics of their noble phantasm may prove impossible to reproduce.
He's really good, but not Kojiro level good because he was arrogant and became a murderer instead. He's all talent, but little hard work.

Except Shirou in all those bad ends....

It's magic, that's how.

This is retarded as fuck.

Why does Saber stop like a fucking idiot and not just cut him through?

His failure to finish Saber off there pretty much meant that he'd never be able to beat her ever again, though.

Gilgameme is literally dying and looking like the first servant to kick the bucket in the latest Strange Fake volume.

He is a fake one.
In a sense: fake coin is still a coin.

because the anime sucks

He's voice by the same guy that voices James which is kinda funny because in jap Pokemon his name is Kojiro too

Not good enough to be a Grand though.

Has Kiritsugu never encountered Church Executors or Magus Association Enforcers before? Why did he think a fight in such a closed environment would even be a good idea?

Could Shiki kill Excalibur?

Kirei is the one that forced that setup.

It's gonna be Taiga wielding full power Excalibur and Avalon

Kojiro has prodigious sword skill, perhaps greater than any other, but that's really not good enough to be a Grand. He can cut really, superhumanly well, enough to break the laws of physics, but that's ALL he can do. Grand Servants exist to oppose Beasts. There is literally NOTHING in Kojiro's repertoire that would let him fight Beasts.

>Kojiro Sasaki
Why do Americans do this?

It's weird. It's not like Japan easternizes western names, so when Americans westernize eastern names, it really says a lot about their arrogance.

Because Sasaki is the family name (last name)

He unleashes 3 slashes in an auto second.
3 swords exists in one instance.
It's like slash so fast it became 3 swords simultaneously existing in that moment.

Nothing says he has to be good at the job. None of the current grands are.

>Grand
I don't know what that means. Is that a FGO thing?

>arrogance
>for switching name order

So what do you see as the defender? Three swords? Three slashes? Him moving three times? Do all three slashes converge at the same time? Wouldn't it be easy to just dodge since he's only aiming at one spot which is where you'll be? How many times can he use it? Does it take mana to use?

They're all better at the job than he is. King Hassan was instrumental to defeating Tiamat. And the planet chooses each Grand. The planet wouldn't choose Kojiro because he's worthless for their purposes. Being good at 1vs1 combat against other humans is pretty meaningless.

>So what do you see as the defender?
You dont see anything that's the point its so fast that its "impossible"

It's an enforcement of personal standards.

In Southeast Asian countries, when using western names, like say, "John Smith", they just keep it as "John Smith". They don't go "Smith John". They understand that it's a different naming convention and respect that. But when Americans do the same thing, they go "Surname first?! That's preposterous! Here, let me fix that for you. There you go, now you're Kojiro Sasaki, like a TRUE American!"

Basically the Summoning spell in Fate/Stay Night is an inferior version of the one where the World summons Grand Servants to fight Beasts, aka Evils of Humanity

They are ass at this jobs. If they were good, your self insert wouldn't need to go around saying the day

Arash is one of the best Archers in lore and he's a one star. Even Arthur didn't know whether Arash or Sir Tristan was better with the bow due to how good he was.

>but that's really not good enough to be a Grand
We don't even know the requirements of what it takes to be a Grand Saber at this point honestly, kind of like being a Grand Caster requires Clairvoyance to qualify

We're probably going to see the first grand seiba though in the 12000BC Lostbelt since that's when someone repels Sefar with Excalibur

Attached: 1553726625825.gif (728x408, 2.76M)

>Not grailing Kojirou

I can't really think of any heroes other than King Arthur and maybe Gawain and Lancelot who were famous for wielding Excalibur. If it just turns out to be an OC, that'd be a little unfortunate.

If Grand Saber isn't Arthur, then the Grand Saber is just useless. Arthur is literally doing the Grand Servant's jobs right now, chasing the two sides of Beast VI.

Read the VN

How can you lose with clairvoyance?

>enforcing personal standards
Your own arrogance is showing
Acting like this is a personal insult to Asian countries when it literally has nothing to do with "enforcing personal standards"
Naming convention differ upon many regions and languages
It's just someone going "Oh, hey, this is different compared to what's usual here. Let's change it since it could be confusing."
Get off your high horse

We know he's not a Grand because he's not really that strong.

It's worth noting we haven't seen a Grand Servant container yet. Even King Hassan, as hilariously OP as he his, is just a "normal" assassin.

>So what do you see as the defender? Three swords? Three slashes? Him moving three times?
He basically does one slash and two other slashes will appear out of nowhere.
>Do all three slashes converge at the same time? Wouldn't it be easy to just dodge since he's only aiming at one spot which is where you'll be?
Yes, and no it will be hard to dodge because of the length of his weapon.
>How many times can he use it? Does it take mana to use?
He can use it as much as he like, and no it doesn't cost mana, because it is merely a sword skill. Not a real Noble Phantasm.

I'm pretty sure Caster accidentally killed a decent chunk of people her first time draining power from the populace, but every other time she just put them in the coma.

Either way it's not as fucked as Medusa and Shinji's plan.

If Gilgamesh is so great, then why is he a furry who voices this bear? Gilgamesh is very great

By being a jobber

it's more likely Grand Saber is Artoria with time shit shenanigans or some kind of OC saberface

Romani isn't in a grand caster container. He's still a normal servant.

He is though. He easily stopped Anti-Army NP tier attacks with one hand and even beat a fetus Beast with one hand, shooting Excalibur twice, without a master supplying him mana.

What's the story at the moment? Last time I checked was when they got into the tank and went to frostland.

Funny thing is we haven't even seen King Hassan's "true" Noble Phantasm yet. Azrael is literally just a sword swing. He just swings down his sword and go "Will the bell toll?" If it does, you're dead. If it doesn't, maybe you'll survive, who knows. It's a pretty big sword. All of King Hassan's attacks have a chance to insta-kill. It's not a HIGH chance, but the point is we haven't actually see his Zabaniya.

Screenshot this.

The most important rule of Grand Servant containers is to have a connection to YHWH. Remember that everything Solomon did was possible through YHWH.

He nearly gets his ass kicked a bunch of times. He's not as obscenely overpowering as King Hassan or Solomon, so we know that he's obviously not a Grand.

Because he wanted to cut a sparrow, not a beehive full of bees.

If YHWH is the same as Allah (PBUH) I could see Old Man being Grand Assassin.

Nasu doesn't give a fuck about japanese pride. the the VN explicitly states that nip servants are weaker than european ones because they come from some obscure mythology that the rest of the world doesn't give a fuck about.

King Hassan and Solomon were in a Grand container. It isn't because they're overwhelmingly strong that they're a Grand, they are overwhelmingly strong because they're in a Grand container.

>frostland
Furries or Giants?

Yo someone post Fate Another Pretender. Let’s autism over builds

>Metatron is grand rider

Attached: l9j48psrm4s21.jpg (600x848, 99K)

And Arthur isn't in a Grand Container. So we know he's not a fucking Grand.

Merlin wasn't in a Grand container before Solomon died, that must mean he's not a Grand right.

>gachafags
kill yourselves

Considering that all of the zabaniyas we have seen so far have the word delusional and the fact he appears before every Old Man of the Mountain to kill them for losing their way, it's possible he doesn't have a Zabaniya cause he doesn't need one since he will never stray from his path.

Also the Fate wiki is shit and full of errors and fanon.

I don't know, can't remember. Whichever had Da Vinci die and reborn.

He's not a Grand. He's next in line for Grand Caster if Solomon is unavailable. They've made it VERY CLEAR that he's a Grand CANDIDATE, not an actual Grand. Maybe he'll be made a Grand later, but he's not a Grand right NOW.

Technically we haven't seen Grand Caster yet due to spoilers about part 1. Also why there couldn't be multiple candidates for a Grand Container?

Nasu is pretty pro-Japan now if you look at the ridiculous amount of wank Musashi got, for example

I seriously doubt it's Artoria considering Nasu is adamant on not letting her actually play any role in the story. She's the only poster servant in Part 1 to not have appeared in it (no, Bedi flashback doesn't count) and so I see no reason why Part 2 would let her join in either.

He most certainly doesn't have one since it's ripped out of this:

"During the post-quranic-exegesis, Zabaniyah were also identified with the angels of death assisting Azrail, who conduct the sinners at the moment of death, and seize their souls, appearing as black shadows."

There are multiple Candidates, but only one actual Grand of each category. If one Grand loses their title somehow, then the next in line takes it. So that means both Grand Caster and Grand Assassin containers are available right now, but as far as we know, neither have been filled yet. Merlin, at least, is still just a normal Caster at the moment.

So, which class is the worst and why is it Caster? Like half the other classes are immune to your shit.

They just finished with the Ching Chong Lostbelt and shit (and by shit I mean filler events to pad things out) keeps getting in their way to the India Lostbelt. F for Spartacus

Caster is the most broken class

What's so great about Musashi? Always see her art, but is there anything special at all?

lancer

>tfw Type Moon peaked before you were a fan

>just finished
This is the longest gap between story chapters FGO has ever had, period.

So it's definitely going to be another Saberface.

>Musasahi got
I'm 100% sure that's Takeuchi

>Saber
...Gawain?
>Archer
...David?
>Lancer
...Longinus?
This is a really narrow scope, user. Be great to see, though.

>he's not a Grand right now
He is a Grand now though. You literally said it yourself that he's next in line if Solomon is unavailable, and Solomon is dead, out of the Throne of Heroes.

Assassin since the masters always have plot armor anyway

Considering this how does Kojirou turn back everyone on his stairs? Is the power of the high ground really that great?

Attached: high ground.jpg (1600x680, 232K)

>just finished
nani the fuck I thought it ended around december when mothman was released?

She has like twenty pages of mats talking about how great she is. I'd google them if I were you because I can't convey how stupid her kit is.

He hasn't been granted the Grand title so he's not a Grand. As far as we're aware, the Grand Caster container is still empty. There has been no change made to Merlin since we were first introduced to him.

Musashi isn't even drawn by Takeuchi. Koyoma, you mean?

High Ground + Narrow stairs + Magic barrier surrounding the temple that weakens servants + Caster magically buffed him to repel Berserker

I wonder what next important servant is going to be, either: Shiva, Krishna, maybe Indra or Vishnu

Probably Berserker in a Fuyuki style war. You might get a couple kills early, but zero strategy is always going to lose in the end.
Best in general is Saber, but a 200 IQ master could work wonders with Caster.

Takeuchi gives the okay for characters introduced in EoR (maybe Cosmos too idk) so he's pretty much the guy responsible for the Musashi wank

Grand Ruler is going to be just Jesus isn't it?
I hope he's actually grand Rider like in Revelation

By that logic everyone would be wanked. Musashi is drawn by Koyoma and written by Nasu, if anyone is responsible it's one of those two.

literally >"HE'S FAST!"

Rulers can't be Grands, it's only the main classes.

Also Jesus would be Savior.

He's an amazing swordman, and no one really wants to show their trump card to kill the gate guard. Probably any of the other servants could kill him with their NP, but that's a waste of mana, and now the Caster at the top of the stairs knows who you are

Well the problem with Casters is that, generally, they're gonna be better than you and you're really not gonna contribute much. If you've got 200 IQ, your Caster's probably got 300 IQ, unless it's a retard like Bluebeard.

Why would it be empty when there's someone next in line for it? There isn't some kind of ceremony to become a Grand. If you the seat is empty and you're the only one qualified to sit on it, then you you're the one who fills the seat.

>FGO """plot"""
The absolute fucking state

Attached: 1526059028913.jpg (602x603, 63K)

Problem is, Him assuming Servant container and returning in physical form would mean the start of the Second Coming. I'm 100% sure he wouldn't participate anyway and would rather send his servants.

Nigga the planet works in weird-ass ways. Plus Arcueid is lazy.

>container is empty
What if someone other than the known candidates took it already?

What about Tamamo?

Am I just a retard or is there a new Stay Night series/movie by ufo? I thought all they had made was Zero and Unlimited Bladeworks(not ova) with the Alter Saber route coming out soon/already airing? Dont remember some of the webms posted

I dunno. I mean, we don't really know what the process is to begin with. Look at what it fucking did with Saber. "Dude, I know you're dying and all, but if you promise to be my eternal slave, I'll let you get the Grail." And the planet kept fucking sending her at duds.

Saber's entire situation kinda proves that the planet isn't as efficient as some people in this thread seem to think.

FGO is literally just for people who exhausted everything else, I don't know why anyone else would bother in a game with such shit rates.
Hopefully they actually kill it after part 2, or at least Nasu leaves for literally anything else.

I dont watch this show much but where are the Hindu gods in all this Ganesha and Kali? or like the Monkey King?

shouldnt they be ultra OP servants considering their feats are far beyond that of like King Arthur.
Is there a servant based around Aladdin and his OP as fuck Genie?

What about like Lu-Bu,Cao-Cao or Guan-Yu?

Heaven's Feel had the second movie come out a few months back

Tamamo normally wouldn't qualify. Her original is a Divine Spirit, so she actually has to consciously trade away some of her divinity (Divinity Rank A is actually heavily ranked down from what it's supposed to be for her) and power. She wouldn't answer a summons if she didn't WANT to answer it, and she'd only answer the summons of certain very specific types of people. She works somewhat similarly to Saviors, which makes sense since she's high divinity. Also a Beast candidate.

You're all wrong.
This is the only Grand that matters.

Attached: DYdtYqxV4AEurh3.jpg (300x300, 20K)

Musashi is the best overall saber because of her retardedly good kit.
Basically:
First skill quite literally quadruples if not quintuples her damage when maxed and refunds a ridiculously large amount of NP when used on an Arts card.
Second skill is just a good buster buff and invincibility
Third skill pierces invincibility and has decent stargen
NP is powerful and buff cleanses the enemy.

To sum up, her 1turn burst is super fucking good, and if the cards align right she can do it twice in a row.

I think they were talking lore wise

How can merlin be a "grand" when he's literally still alive in the FGO universe

Full gods don't really qualify. Divine Spirits can't normally be summoned as Servants unless they take a huge nerf. But we do have some Indian Servants: Arjuna, Karna, Rama, Parvati (summoned using a human as a medium) and Kama (same as Parvati)
Karna is insanely powerful, but he burns out his Master too easily so he needs to be very careful about his output. Kama is pretty strong, but weaker than Cu Chulainn. Parvati and Kama are using human hosts so they're not as strong as they could be, though Kama is also half a Beast candidate.

Ok, here have a TL;DR version.

>The former elite of Chaldea (Crypters) was revived and brainwashed by an Alien God and causes Earth to freeze and being covered by magic trees. (Avoiding it was the main reason Goetia set on fire the planet)
>These trees are Lostbelts, timelines where mankind got stuck and were ready to get deleted, but the Alien God made a competition of which of the timelines could cover the planet and replace our own)
>Lostbelt 1 is in Russia, which is furry land after a meteorite created an eternal Ice Age. Kadoc and FGO!Kirei wanted to kick Ivan the Terrible (a big ass mamut) and replace him with Anastasia. You purge the timeline and only the two former survive.
>Lostbelt 2 is a failed Ragnarok with Surt still alive. Skadi (possessing Cu's teacher's body) has to create a distopya where humans are Giant's food for eternity. You kill Surt, then Skadi tries to kill you because nowher timeline could be saved, but you purge it anyway.
>Lostbelt 3 is China, where Qin Shi Huang Di became inmortal, conquered the world and mandates a society where everyting he finds "confucian" gets purged while almost everyone else become morons and get shorts lives. The local Crypter is a Dead Apostle who only wanted to reunite with her husbando (she is happy with an AU mechanical horse), but you kill them both (and you can summon them later for the lols), kill the Emperor and purge the timeline.
>Comming soon: India, starring Pepe.

Attached: Kireimapo.png (640x480, 462K)

Oh
Sword style can reach the Void. This basically means she can sever you from life ala Shiki, but Shiki is just some goon with a knife in her home series, Musashi is the best swordsman who ever lived.

It's magic nigga.
Like Shirou, EMIYA, EMIYUH, Sword EMIYA, Rin, and God I Want Her To Step On Me

Artoria was also still alive.

Lu Bu is in, but he's a Berserker, so he mostly just yells.
Karna and Arjuna are both massively overpowered. Rama would be, but he gimped himself to be a Saber so his wife could potentially be summoned as an Archer, since it's what they're both good at.
Kama is a Beast and Parvati is pretty strong just for using Shiva's weapon.
More curries soon™ in the mobile game.

>Hindu gods
Parvati and Kama are in Fate, but they are possessing a human vessel because gods cannot be summoned as servants. The Indian chapter is the next one in FGO so expect more Hindu gods to appear.
>Monkey King
He appeared in a gag manga but he's not in the game yet but Sanzang/Xuanzang is in.
>Allading and his OP as fuck Genie
Nope.
>Chinks
Only Lu-Bu is in Fate out of the people you posted. Other chinks such as Wu Zetian, Gao Changgong, and Qin Shi Huang, Qin Liangyu, and Jing Ke are in the game though.

Heroic Spirits have a will of their own and can choose when or not to appear.
Wukong is mentioned by Xuanzang so he exists here but hasn't appeared as a servant yet.
>Ganesha/Kali
Hindi servants are the some of the most powerful but the Hindu divines (or divines in general) are too powerful for a servant container and have to use less powerful bodies to appear.

>Lu Bu
He's insanely powerful but also insane.
>GuanYu
Is a god. Plus Red Hare (A fusion of LuBu and RedHare) appears so you can count that as an aspect of GuanYu, maybe

Why is Julius Caesar a Saber? Why is he fat? He should be a beautiful Ruler and not NTR bait

Servant Artoria died after the 5th HGW of the Fate route.

Even rulers have cheat days. Cleopatra also attests to a more in-shape form of Caesar that she fell for.

Caesar wouldn't fall under the original definition of Ruler but now that literally everyone is elligbile I guess he can be.

The reason why he's in the state he's in is because Nasu can't have Roman servants be cool because then that takes away from Nero. The same reason Finn MacCool is a loser, to not take away from Scathach. Nasu loves to be contrary with stuff like this.

The game made me stop giving a shit about Type-Moon stuff in general. Nasu is a fucking hack and he's too lazy to do anything, so why should I give

Blame the higher ups
This is what his artist said when he got commisioned
>During the moment when I saw the list of orders document for a Caesar of the Saber-class, I thought that ‘Surely he is not an Artoriaface!?’ Although it was something I thought of, finding the specification for a big fatso was something unexpected… it was a shock to me.

>Given that there were plenty of materials related to Rome, including creative works as well, I got to adopt those materials minutely and design him with such. Although, (suppose) if there was a specification for him as a lean handsome man, I wonder when the diet event will come then…? I am hoping for one!

Musashi acknowledges that /ourKojiro/ has achieved Void.

Caesar actually complains about being summoned as a Saber, stating he doesn't really qualify. but he wouldn't really qualify for much else either, and he actually DOES have excellent sword skills even in that state.
He's fat because something went wrong with the summoning.
He doesn't qualify as Ruler because he has a wish. If you have a wish, you can't be a Ruler.

*so why should I give a shit about his world
meant to continue with this

Shiki can literally kill the future outside of a servant container.

God I fucking hate red saber. She's actively making the series worse.
At least she didn't make ROMA shit

where is Caligula

he seems like he would be decent servant bait considering he is up there with Nero as one of the biggest bastards

Finn McCool kinda IS a loser, though. I mean, only a loser would do what he did with Deermud. He's actually a powerful Lancer, powerful enough to even perhaps go toe-to-toe with Altria, but he's also a loser and an idiot.

Don't tell him.

oh shit finally a good resumed version

Caligula was summoned as a Berserker, he's obsessed with Nero and he's kinda shit.

UNGA UMU

Finn WASN'T a loser, though. He's Ireland's most famous hero. Nasu made him a loser because Scathach was introduced at the same time and even though she's a minor character in Cu's myth she's super uber powerful for some reason.

kek

Reminder Fionn won the third holy grail war in Apocrypha

Sasaki really did deserve more screentime.

Haha, yeah, remember when he let Deermud die by deliberately being slow with the water? That's not loser-like behavior at all.

AUUUUUUU NERO

NERO PLEASE GIVE PUSSY

I think Nero is the only servant I actually hate. There are some I like, some I don't really care about, but Nero ruins everything she touches. Kill count now includes Extella, the Extra anime, the Rome singularity, and every fucking Roman servant in the game. She's wanked to hell and her faults are never acknowledged. She literally only exists to bait people into buying Extra before they realized it wasn't Artoria. Fuck everything about her. Sakurai, consider suicide.

Attached: 1554478126732.png (429x429, 309K)

Blame Sakurai. She fucking LOVES Nero. I mean, seriously, Nasu hasn't really done anything with Nero in a long time, other than maybe MHX's first event or the CCC event. Most of the Nero we see in anything is Sakurai.

On the bright side, he gets to exist in that nice spot with Tsukihime where the characters haven't been drug through the mud that is modern Type-Moon.

I mean, he did cuck him. Fastwheels met a similar fate ™

>this is my ultimate skill!
>a lighting-fast strike that can kill anyone in a blink of an eye!

LIZ!

Artist already made a twitter post about how the aspect ratio looks fucked, hopefully they fix it

Y-yeah bro... the aspect ratio.........

Me love boobie
Stinky

Strange Fake is pretty good.

it's the aspect ratio
sorry for quality 3rd world country internet

Not to beat a dead horse, but the fact that Liz has better development that Nero is fucking hilarious

Attached: 1547117198074.png (688x695, 510K)

>Nero goes from Normal to Bride
>Tamamo goes from Caster to Lancer
>Emiya...wears a mask.

Subsequently, because Emiya is a 4* while the other two have 5* forms, he's the easiest to beat.

considering the artist literally drew a better Luvia that isn't even in the game it does not seem implausible.

This. Strange Fake is core-Nasuverse at its best.

For some reason, a lot of artists who are perfectly competent tend to draw really bad character portraits.

Rarity doesn't actually matter lore wise.

You forgot Sion joins inbetween LB2 and LB3 and is currently a helper and will probably become an antagonist.

Fate/strange fake is a spin-off and is entirely unrelated to "core" Nasuverse.

EMIYA has actual autism and is really just a big dumb kid.
EMIYER is just a sad sad nigga

It matters when you fight him in the CCC event because he's not really strong even as a boss with two break gauges.

All the grand Caster candidates clairvoyance works differently.
Allegedly Merlin's is the worst in that he can see anything anywhere but only in the present, Gil can see into the future but it takes effort and he has the tendency to forget shit (unless all of Babylonia was him scheming to make sure everything went his way), Solomon had complete clairvoyance across time and space

>>Emiya...wears a mask.
Are you confusing Kerry with Detroit Emiya?

I've noticed the best Fate material are the ones that involve a Holy Grail War(except Apocrypha which was ruined by its MC).

I meant the themes present in what OG titles like KnK Fate and Tsukihime as core-Nasu.
Also the nature of spin-offs literally don't matter in TM. If it's material, it's in the Kaleidoscope.

I think he means core in the sense that it feels more like the old material than everything else out right now.

No he's talking about Santam

In the CCC event, you can fight Nero, Tamamo and Emiya. When you break their first HP gauge, they transform. Nero becomes Nero Bride, Tamamo becomes Summer Tamamo. Emiya starts out wearing a mask and can't use his NP, and when you break the first gauge he just goes back to normal.

Which doesn't really matter at the end of the day because Nasu never really calls much attention to things he hasn't written. Even Fate/Zero is only "half-canon".

Technically, its a sequel that takes place after the 5th Fuyuki Holy Grail War(although not from any known routes from Fate Stay/Night).

Santam got into FGO?

Gilgamesh's clairvoyance is fine, he's just too cocky to take the advice. I'm pretty sure it's canon that he saw a future where dark Sakura eats him and shrugged it off as "lol she could never beat me"

Except Hassan has already been confirmed to be grand assassin for a while now.
Don't make up arbitrary rules or you'll get exposed as a fool like those "all rulers are saints" retards

Oh, have some Arthurs as apology.

Attached: 1552750481228.jpg (500x8850, 1.55M)

Every "rule" we have is arbitrary at this point (and looks like won't be answered until the end of FGO) so why not have fun with it

I'd be 100% OK with this

If I remember correctly, it's not actually a F/SN timeline at all but a variation of one. At one point Nasu established that Tsukihime and Fate timelines are inherently different because of human order and vampire mumbo jumbo, but Strange Fake features Servants AND DAs, so he handwaves it by saying it takes place in some weird middle ground

Afaik the only spin off to take place in an identical F/SN timeline is Case Files.

I am za bone of my sowd

The best Fate has a focus on the humans involved as well as a limited servant pool. It's easy to forget how exceptional heroic spirits are when you get tons of them with minimal backstory instead of a couple with more detail. The mystery of servant identities are cool as well, but it's hard to experience that unless you speak Japanese or are amazing at dodging spoilers.

Steer is my body and fya is my brud

FGO ruined this aspect of the story

Even by fate standards its not much of a rule if it's broken before its even introduced

Attached: 20190504220703_1.jpg (1920x1080, 360K)

The existence of DA doesn't mean it gravitates to one timeline or not. Just signals that they're more or less prevalent.
DAA are sure signals that it's in TH branchline though.

Speaking of TM, has anyone can /djt/ hopefully got access to the new Fate novel? How is it?

Fate has really devolved as a series, but nothing can ever beat those first times hearing "I am the bone of my sword" and "Trace on" "Trigger off-"

Do you mean Requiem or Strange Fake's newest volumes? BL has summaries of both I think.

Where did the times go
Thanks, user

Reminder that Kirei could've easily won the war in a couple days if he actually wanted to even without Gil
>Kariya and Ryuunosuke are easy pickings and could've been killed at literally any time if anyone bothered to look for them
>Kiritsugu could've been taken out whenever Saber was busy scissoring with his wife
>Kirei could shank Tokiomi himself
>Kayneth fights in relative proximity to Lancer and is generally a retard so he should be no problem either

The only master Kotomine would've had problems dealing with is Waver since Rider was always with him but I'm sure he could work something out

Attached: 2i8nlo0wqq911.png (1068x620, 509K)

Servant strength is a function of their canon strength, current notability/presence in the collective unconscious, and how old they are
Saber and Berserker have all 3 so they're broken as fuck but EMIYA gets to compete because he's the avatar of the collective unconscious
FGO throws this out to an extent but the Indian heroes that are in are shown to be pretty damn strong when they get the spotlight

Iri is the heterosexual character in the series.

The game desperately needs Brave Hero Camilla and Mecha Bathory

Why does every characters name start with K?

No one fucking knows. Kiritsugu and Kotomine were probably just a coincidence in F/SN. Then Uro decided to run with it, I guess?

Rider Caesar? Do you mean more Nero?

Actually in the original LN Kiritsugu found Kariya early and would had killed him had not correctly assume that Jets would be the biggest pain in the ass for Gilgamesh.

>somehow he is just a 1 star in FGO
>also Cu has the spear that bends reality just so it can certainly kill the enemy
>never works, and he is also just a 3 stars

I like how the original servants all had OP as fuck skills that were supposed to make them invincible but somehow never did.

Someone had to be the 1 star scapegoat and Kojiro was chosen. His popularity has risen as a result, so I would say it has worked swellingly. Especially with him being dragon slayer.

Back then, they wanted to be a little more balanced. Because no one would like it if every Servant they actually cared about had a rate of 3% or less. That concept seems to have died since then, though.

She didn't. The first time he used it it wasn't the full technique because he was on the stairs. It still fucked Saber up and would have killed her if she didn't have her bullshit regeneration though. The second time he uses it is after another duel in which Saber bent his sword unknowingly (since it's not a NP, just some random shitty katana, it bent easily against Excalibur). That created an opening in the technique which Saber was able to exploit because of her clairvoyance.

A real Archer uses swords

Shiki

Attached: Shiki-ref-4.png (2120x4904, 2.83M)

Same reason Kiritsugu gets a whole load of guns and shit in his story.

Yeah, as mentioned FGO revealed that what we thought was the origin of the Holy Grail war (The 3 mage families creating a ritual) was in fact just a shoddy replication of a real pre-existing defense mechanism created by Gaia/Alaya (The World) in which it chooses the 7 greatest souls and elevates them into beings of a divine nature so that they can can become the pinnacles of the Counter Force.

This is the Angel of Death himself, the First Hassan, creator of the world's very first order of assassins depicted in history. The assassin of assassins, the Grand Assassin of the seven.

Hassan-i Sabbāh, the Old Man of the Mountain.

He amassed his power through EXTREME zealotry and operates on 5 million percent faith. But unlike retards in ages past and today he understands if you don't follow his religion and won't kill you for it, however if you ever bring mortal danger to his people or his faith you get utterly annihilated by him. Though he can see into your heart itself and knows whether you or good or evil. Nature itself actually heeds his will without any magic at all, he's THAT attuned the law of the world. It simply obeys him. He's become actually one with death itself and its mechanism, he himself is part of nature now and acts as force of it, obeying its laws and his faith, he walks in death simultaneously as he walks in life. Literally an extension of the concept of death itself by merging with it.

Attached: 73362934_p0.png (1920x1079, 2.8M)

It would make sense if it's Artoria wielding Avalon...sort of?

I feel like it'll be someone else though. No idea who though. They might make it Miyamoto Musashi since we don't have the real one.

>a mere human can not just catch Arturia's invisible holy sword, that is also literally wrapped in wing magic, but can also react fast enough to counter attack and completely beat up a servant who is considered one of the most powerful in the Saber class

God, UBW was so fucking retarded.
Literally all Caster did was enchant the guy's fists with magic. Just because he is a martial artist doesnt mean he should be able to keep with the servants who are pretty much gods among humans.
In fact the same apply for Rin keeping up with Caster's spells. That was just as stupid.

Fucking stupid how DEEN chose to show it

>it's three attacks at the same time

>have him do them in order slowly

It's literally supposed to be a 1/3 version of kuzuryuusen you retards

Caster didn't kill anyone, she just made a couple of salarymen go to sleep

Caster literally did nothing wrong

Lancer went around killing random families for no reason

Shirou is retarded

He's literally based on him

The Japanese were the ones who came up with it in the Meiji period because some retard thought it would be a good idea and it just stuck.

It's originally from Tsukihime (Kagetsu Toya's Tsukihime 2 stuff)

Primate Murder and things like him are called Beasts which are super monsters made by Gaia and the only way to stop them is through summoning seven super guardians which are the Grand Servants

Rin didn't keep up with Caster's spells. Rin forced her to a melee while she's trying to support hubby.

>Fate

You do realise that the Muslim god is YHWH right?

His profile literally reads Grand Caster.

Fan headcanon

>Rulers can't be Grands, it's only the main classes.
If FGO has established any one rule about Fate it's that there are no fucking rules.

He'd be grand saviour though

Lu Bu is a robot

Guan Yu fused with Waver Velvent

Shi Huang Ti killed Cao Cao

Ruler is a class that generally only has meaning in Grail Wars. It's primary skill is True Name Discernment which is completely fucking worthless in most situations.

Everything and anything has already been retroactively been disproven. There are no rules besides the ones the writers pull out of their asses.

>Afaik the only spin off to take place in an identical F/SN timeline is Case Files.
They already confirmed that SF and Himuten take place in the same world, confirming that SF Ayaka isn't the real one, who's in Himuten.

>Allah (PBUH)
You only say that to prophets. PBUH is a (bad) translation of an arabic phrase used in the same manner. In English PBUH is short for peace be upon him.

Nigger, Ruler was created specifically in order to judge a competition. It'd be like if there were a Grand Moon Cancer.

>Introduce Kerry as an assassin servant in FGO
>Have his profile read that he now has infinite ammo origin bullets which means he can one hit kill casters instantly forever

>is weak to casters because shitty game system

FGO

Okay, that's great and all, but could he even come CLOSE to just touching Madara Uchiha? Let alone defeat him. And I'm not talking about Edo Tensei Uchiha Madara. I'm not talking about Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara either. Hell, I'm not even talking about Juubi Jinchuuriki Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Rinnegan doujutsus (with the rikodou abilities and being capable of both Amateratsu and Tsukuyomi genjutsu), equipped with his Gunbai, a perfect Susano'o, control of the juubi and Gedou Mazou, with Hashirama Senju's DNA implanted in him so he has mokuton kekkei genkai and can perform yin yang release ninjutsu while being an expert in kenjutsu and taijutsu. I’m also not talking about Kono Yo no Kyūseishu Futarime no Rikudō Juubi Jinchuuriki Gedou Rinne Tensei Uchiha Madara with the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan (which is capable of Enton Amaterasu, Izanagi, Izanami and the Tsyukuyomi Genjutsu), his two original Rinnegan (which grant him Chikushōdō, Shuradō, Tendō, Ningendō, Jigokudō, Gakidō, Gedō, Banshō Ten’in, Chibaku Tensei, Shinra Tensei, Tengai Shinsei and Banbutsu Sōzō) and a third Tomoe Rinnegan on his forehead, capable of using Katon, Fūton, Raiton, Doton, Suiton, Mokuton, Ranton, Inton, Yōton and even Onmyōton Jutsu, equipped with his Gunbai(capable of using Uchihagaeshi) and a Shakujō because he is a master in kenjutsu and taijutsu, a perfect Susano’o (that can use Yasaka no Magatama ), control of both the Juubi and the Gedou Mazou, with Hashirama Senju’s DNA and face implanted on his chest, his four Rinbo Hengoku Clones guarding him and nine Gudōdama floating behind him AFTER he absorbed Senjutsu from the First Hokage, entered Rikudō Senjutsu Mode, cast Mugen Tsukuyomi on everybody and used Shin: Jukai Kōtan so he can use their Chakra while they are under Genjutsu.

You are missing the point, the ruler and savior classes have specific purposes and roles, it's not about rules. They can't be grands because there's no place or purpose for a grand ruler or savior. Go look up what a grand actually is and what they're supposed to do, then look up ruler and savior and what they're supposed to do.

>Ruler is a class that generally only has meaning in Grail Wars

>FGO has a load of new ones anyway

So yeah thanks for proving my point?

If any proper Caster actually lost to a parlor trick like Origin Bullets, they'd be a shitty fucking Caster.

You sound like one of those retards from BL
>Only saints can be rulers wahhhhhh

Most servants were human you know.

>gets blown the fuck out
>immediately resorts to a nonsensical insult
ya ok, maybe read about shit instead of just mash your enter key like an idiot next time

retard

His profile doesn't actually mention origin bullets at all. Instead, it's his knife that replaced the origin bullets. His knife, Phantom Punishment, is a C+ rank Noble Phantasm that works exactly the same as his origin bullets. So he's really been nerfed pretty heavily because even with Chronos Rose, he's gonna have a hard time in close-quarters combat with upper tier melee-oriented Servants. It'd probably work better against Casters, but Casters have gotten pretty damn varied over the years and many of them aren't really anything like proper magi. Sanzang may very well kick his ass with her fists alone.

For me, it’s Blackbeard

Attached: D1D3FC97-D0AB-4065-A2F0-918B7C13A3F4.png (1334x750, 2.15M)

He was only strong because he got summoned in his home turf.

He'd be as weak as Vlad the moment he stepped out of Romania. Unless he has Dracula mode, he's not gonna make it very far.

He threw her off because
>she wasn't expecting a human to fight back at all
>she didn't anticipate his arms being harder than steel
>he uses a martial arts style that's completely unknown and specifically designed to catch people off guard
>he doesn't hold back at all and makes sure to do as much damage as he can before the surprise wears off
tl;dr read the VN you stupid faggot. Rin also didn't keep up with Caster's spells, she EXPLICITLY was just negating them at the cost of all of her fucking gems. That's like saying someone's winning a game of MTG because they keep using Force of Will. It wasn't a winning strategy and all it did was buy her time to kick caster in the fucking gut which again, was completely unexpected as Caster assumed that magi wouldn't get physical.

"Sasaki Kojiro" doesn't actually receive any fame bonus at all. He's not the real Sasaki Kojiro, so whatever fame that the character accumulated doesn't go to him. He receives no benefits from his borrowed name at all. In fact, his stats aren't really all that great. He's only strong because of his unparalleled swordsmanship technique.

Fame bonus only applies to stats and Noble Phantasms. "Kojiro" only has one Noble Phantasm to begin with, and it's not even a real Noble Phantasm. It's a skill.

This is what happens when you hire random artists off of pixiv. Too many cooks in the kitchen.

It's 20 pages because they had to design like 4 swords. She doesn't get that much more than anyone else, people parroting this are dumb.

I've been waiting for this

Why does Musashi have four swords but only wields 2?

Also why does Musashi do a saberbeam too?

Cuz wakizashi.

She doesn't? she summons the big guy on the right and he hits people with swords.

Yeah, after he hits them with swords, she does a laser beam. I've seen it.

It's more like a really big laser sword. But I see what you mean.

If it's Artoria, it better at least be a full grown, Lancer-esque Artoria.

>>also Cu has the spear that bends reality just so it can certainly kill the enemy
From the very start, it was made clear that things like "GUARANTEES A CERTAIN KILL" were only against a neutral foe and that anyone with the right resistances or stats (which a servant has a reasonable chance to have) is different to that.

I refuse to believe there isn't an older sword wielder they could make use.

You don't really understand the lore that well. Servants are essentially just humans, they are all in fact weaker than they were in life by about 5-10% or so.

That "mere human" you were talking about was someone that attacked while infused with magecraft, magecraft/magic is what ALL servants use and used in life (The ones that were real) since ALL of them used were essentially mages/magic to a degree which is what enabled them to do their amazing feats. In addition to using a special technique that's not meant to be understood when its first seen (similar to Tsubame Gaeshi which is a physical skill and not magecraft that warps reality through sheer technique, but obviously far weaker)

Magic in the atmosphere has declined over time which is why there aren't a ton of Sabers running around. There are still however people that have practiced magecraft to a crazy degree and attained great power and could actually hurt or even kill servants like Zalretch. Zalretch can straight up fight on par with them/surpass them. And you should know about Shirou already, not to mention Artoria who is literally just teleported through time and is just herself from the 5th century, a human.

Servants are just people that use magic to fight, typically physically. That's all. Might as well complain about Shirou killing Gilgamesh for the rest of your life.

I forgot about this guy, this guy is probably Grand Saber actually.

Unless Gaia cares about time or whatever.

Attached: latest[1].png (367x515, 223K)

Nah, it'd be 14 year old Artoria. Or was it 15? I can't remember.

Since it'd just be her with Avalon since Nasu said she simply can't lose when she has it which is why he didn't give it to her in FSN from the beginning.

>I forgot about this guy, this guy is probably Grand Saber actually.
No since they wasted him on fanservice character NP

>can't lose if she has avalon
>gets it in FGO and they still need every servant from the entire universe to fight and still nearly lost
Skeptic.

Well, when he wrote about her not losing it was specifically about fighting against other servants/The Grail. Since the quote was basically (I don't remember the exact words) "If she has Avalon from the start of FSN, there would be no drama. The way it works means she would always win, that is no fun, why do that? If she had it at the beginning and you ran through the course of events of FSN 1,000 times every time she would win it."

I mean, it's literal invincibility via the Fae realm and essentially infinite (All mana within Reverse/Avalon territory) so there are other beings that could rival that but they gotta be way beyond servants.

Oh I forgot about that mecha shit, damn.

I like how Kojiroufags praise their King of Losers
>DUDE SWING ALL DAY SWORD AND YOU WILL BECOME GREAT XDDDD YOU DIDN'T LOST EVERYTHING IN LIFE XDDDD TRY HARDER
But Musashi was, is and will be the greatest swordman in the game who easily cut destiny and future that she doesn't like

Attached: 1513074070656.jpg (1076x1200, 233K)

Literally how are Kojirou and Musashi even on the same level? You would think Musashi is way above him.

They aren't on the same level if you look at just what you see in the games.

But Nasu also said any servant could beat any servant, so whatever.

We haven't even seen the real Musashi, we might not ever.

Talent and effort. "Kojiro" had truly prodigious talent and was autistic enough to spend nearly all his time refining his technique. Musashi has talent, but she was taken from before she became a master, meaning she can lose to Yagyu Munenori.

For the moment, as far as sheer technique goes, "Kojiro" is the greatest swordsman in Fate.

I hope its some obscure French duelist or something from history that has some 120-0 record or something. And he just annoying shouts whatever basic technique he's doing while fighting phantasmals and it works.

One Thrust Man

I like it.

I want to ride nero if you know what I mean

Japan was THE chuuni nation who pretty much invented *telprots behind u* "nothin personnel kid" bullshit and "dude this guy's such a genius swordsman he can cut you three times even if he only cuts you once". Seriously, that is actually a thng that people back in the 18th century believed Okita Souji could do. There will probably never be a western Servant who can match a Japanese Servant in terms of technique. At least, I've never heard of a European myth where a swordsman can draw his sword from his sheath, cut a guy down and then sheathe it once more, while making it look as if he never drew his sword at all. When Japan exaggerates a dumb story, they REALLY exaggerate.

On the other hand, all the most famous swords are European. Excalibur's probably at the top, but there's also Durandal, Caladbolg, Laevantein, etc.

So as for Grand Saber, it's kind of a toss-up.

Nah m8, if you want maximum power wank you need to look at indian mythology

Introducing the true grand saber.

do not click, faint of heart.

Attached: you_dont_even_know_who_this_is.jpg (500x700, 62K)

Lancelot should rival any of them within Fate at least if not real lore (I don't know a ton about him in the real Arthurian mythos)

Knight of Owner gives him the peak of skill with them and makes them go beyond what is supposed to be possible with them right?

But yeah all the western stuff sounds/is magical.

Excalibur defeating whole armies with its light, Durandal cutting through anything and being indestructible.

Is his NP rape? Please tell me it is.

SASAKI IS SHIIIIIIIIIIT

Indian heroes have firepower but not necessarily chuuni technique.

Lancelot can't break the laws of physics through technique alone.

Neo Primate Murder soon.

Kirei forced the setup.

Also Kirei in that specific moment is probably one of the strongest Executors to ever walk the planet. He's not only already one of the best Executors ever but he's jacked up on the mana of the command seals after being taught magic by a true Magi for years.

Japan is about skill. Europe is about the weapon.

>Guan Yu fused with Waver Velvent
Wot? That was Zhuge Liang, you imbecile.

i could probably beat that jap twink in a swordfight

According to Fate/Zero he can.

Missiles don't work that way.

That sounds great, Gilgamesh has already had tons of spotlight, let his time be over and move on to new things.

>Melloi Part 2 was there the whole time
How did I miss this

Nah, he'll still stay a bit longer since his character arc with Enkidu still isn't done and he has one more noble phantasm that isn't revealed yet.

>he has one more noble phantasm that isn't revealed yet
You what now? What says that?

Stats page in SF has a blacked out NP, it isn't GoB.

How indeed, everyone else noticed it when it was airing.

Maybe he learned how to accept his deaths and has a NP for it.

>Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This FFF-
Gilgamesh imbibes the knowledge that the journey of his soul ended long ago and that these moments as a servant are mere entertainment for beings far beyond even his ken, which allows him to laugh once before imploding peacefully.

Are they the real people of then or just soulless copies?

Finn isn't, Cu is ireland's most famous

people just had to go ahead and ruin this picture, didn't they?

Fgo rarity doesn't really matter, Cu is a 3 star because they wanted to pretend it was a generous game

Nah, he's going to keep living otherwise they would've killed him off when they had the chance.

Literally only because of Fate. Finn is absolutely the most famous in Ireland.

By the way the things are now, ANYTHING can be a "heroic" spirit, the only criteria is that the author wants it to be. The time that the lore was concise and important are long gone, now any clown can be a servant.
