Isn't now the best time for a Sonic Adventure remake announcement?
Isn't now the best time for a Sonic Adventure remake announcement?
That would happen if Sega actually cared about Sonic but they clearly don't considering everything.
I BET YOU WEREN'T EXPECTING THIS
>he wants an adventure remake by nu-sonic team
>every asset would be remade in lost world and forces' shitty blocky art style
>will use the lost world engine like forces did
>english script gets rewritten by pontaff
>they probably won't even bother getting ryan drummond back on board for the english version and we'll get boomer sonic again
No thanks. Maybe if Sonic Team somehow becomes as competent as it was prior to 2013, but that'll never happen.
Forces has a better artstyle than SA1 by far.
It still fucking sucks compared to the art style they used from Unleashed to Generations (Which would've been perfect for Adventure remakes)
i don't want an adventure remake at all, and i don't see why anyone would. did you play DX?
>muh english
play in japanese
I fail to see how it sucks compared to Generations.
Only the mechanical/industrial levels like Death Egg and Metropolis look good. Natural areas like Green Hill and Casino Forest look like shit.
Not really
That lighting is fucking atrocious
If it’s done by a developer other than sonic team like mania and TSR were then yes
>being this blind
that looks terrible
Great. Now show the actual game instead of artwork.
I don't understand the appeal of a remake. I don't in the vast majority of cases, to be fair, but in this case in particular it makes little sense. Even Sonic Adventure's biggest fans tend to like some parts of the game far more than others. A remake would require a total overhaul for people to be on board. Why not just make a new game? It's not like SA's story is anything even remotely special.
this. a remake wouldn't make any fucking sense. the people who ask for it probably haven't even played the game.
Haven't played Forces but everything I've seen from it looks straight out of Unity. Absolutely zero soul.
Sonic Adventure had a great artstyle, it's just old and has shitty animations. The characters and enviroments themselves look tangible and grounded in a very good way, and the shaders still hold up today.
Meanwhile games like Sonic Heroes look like total shit, like everything is made of sharp wobbly plastic.
Artstyle isn't graphics.
>Now
>The best time for anything
Sure I guess if you want a obligatory cash shop, the evil campaign to be paid DLC, the chao mini games to be a pre order incentive and the game to be always online since it has a two player mode.
The adventure games' art director has recently come back to the Sonic Pillar Team
You're talking about the sequel.
>evil campaign
>two player mode
>Sonic Adventure
Are you high?
Unironically comparing that to THIS
very flat art style, nothing in here says Sonic.
I'm all for it.
I agreed with you right up until you talked shit about Heroes. Imagine thinking it looks anything but absolutely gorgeous, kys faggot retard nigger piece of shit!
oh yes, but this uneventful shit does
Correct.
Post Green Hill Gens and compare it to Green Hill Forces
i know this is bait but i'm gonna use it as an excuse to post more unleashed kino
Look generic sky scrapers instead of anything that looks like it belongs in Sonic.
Its not even that its the right time. Sonic Team needs to remaster Adventure because they've completely lost track of the series and SA would be perfect to reground the universe after the abysmal colors and pontaff era.
SA does a rather good job establishing the characters and their motivations, taking itself seriously without becoming an edgefest, and has a perfect balance between the surreal and fantastic levels and a functional world that characters can live and have a story in.
can't hear you over my unleashed kino
Do you even have eyeballs?
Sonic Adventure's artstyle is soulless as fuck though. It's Sonic put into the real world with no unique spin to it. Stop being a nostalgiafag.
i legit thought this was Minecraft from the thumbnail
Yes. Do you?
Heroes is objectively the worst looking Sonic game ever made. And that includes fucking Game Gear games.
It looks like a first year student project.
Yeah and SA1 has a shit artstyle.
>posting one of the only good looking levels from the game
That's great, but I still think Unleashed and Generations handled "Sonic in a realistic setting" better than the Adventure games did. I'll take what I can get, though.
So when do you think the new Sonic game will be shown off? Is E3 too soon?
I already posted some screenshots
Fuck off triple Q jew
It is pretty fucking ugly.
You'll get a Sega Ages release and you'll like it
That's still not an artstyle retard.
Nah, Mystic Ruins and a lot of the levels had soul to them.
No because the "real" Pokemon is going to be launched this year and all the sonic games are released in these dates
Rent free
It is, you inbred retard. Nothing about this world looks Sonic related. It absolutely fails to capture the art of Sonic.
lol
>models
>having anything to do with art style at a time of high limitations
>screenshotting the inferior version
(You)
chaos is banging tikal isn't (((he)))
die niggers
The world could have the highest graphical detail imaginable. It still wouldn't look like Sonic. Congrats. You have proven that you don't understand what an artstyle is, retard.
I'm fine with a real cityscape. Trying to make something look real is a lot more difficult than throwing a bunch of bumpers around a neon level of random nonsense.
The games that survived the jump to 3D generally were the ones that evolved, anyways. No game should be exactly the same as its 2D counterpart.
>what is lighting/shading
>what are polygons
The fact that you can't think of a better argument than "it is because I say so" is more than enough to show your gross lack of intelligence. Don't bother replying if that's all you have to say.
>wouldn't look like Sonic
Not that user, but have you been to the stages? Some are very comparable to previous Sonic zones (Emerald Coast, Icecap, Casinopolis are the most obvious), and others still maintain Sonic's asthetics (Speed Highway, Hot Shelter, and Twinkle Park come to mind). Maybe that's because you've only played the DX version, based on the screenshot you provided, the artstyle in that port is complete garbage.
No. The hub looks also pretty awful on the dreamcast. The stages that try to imitate older games miss the point of the the weird world Sonic inhabits. Classic games always had a feel of mysticism around the levels. Like they'd inhabit incredible secrets. If it wasn't that, it usually was an Eggman stage that ruined the world of Sonic through tech. The only stage in Adventure that comes close to this mysticism is the Lost world. Every other level is "Here is a part of the human world with some loops in it. No secrets or lore to be found here if you were curious."
>The only stage in Adventure that comes close to this mysticism is the Lost world
Windy Valley is closer to what you're talking about than Lost World.
