So why didnt people like this game?

becuase it's not 2002 and good graphics per se don't sell games anymore
Was that the one that had literal fake QTEs? Ones that you cannot fail and the same animation will play whether you press the button or not?
It's a fucking tech demo
Because of the length? The combat isn't terrible.
Stop trying to meme this game being good
The combat is extremely shallow
not emotional enough for the target audience (movie players)
People were expecting a God of War but on Xbox and got a beat'em up for new generation with emphasis on graphics.
I don't know how MS marketed the game and if this expectation had any ground, but the game is what the game is.
I played 2 years ago, I think, I had fun. It was short enough to not bore me. I don't think it is a bad game.
But what about this game?
God damned boring piece of shiny shit. And there are people that LOVE this fucking game. I got it free and still think it's butt.
>all those buttblasted sony fanboys who thought this game would be amazing
It was honestly too funny
People liked the game in the first place?
I liked it
PSbro here
pros
>Beautiful graphics
>interesting concept
>serviceable atmosphere
cons
>Extremely mediocre gameplay
>many dumb design decisions that make the game infuriating
>forced walking sections
>literally 3 hours long
>qtes
>sequelbait
>non-boss fights
>generic enemies
>insulting on nearly every level towards the concept of a game
its a 5/10 at best on a good day for 10 bucks or less
I cannot fathom someone paying 60 dollars for this
Absolutely rent free lmao holy shit!
Me too. Its simplicity is its strong suit.
I rented it from redbox and got all the trophies in twelve hours. It's that bad.
FOUR HOURS
I take that back, I think I paid like 5 or 8 bucks or something for it. got it on some super sale and played it and I was just annoyed as shit by the end of the afternoon by the game.
It is Squandered Potential: The Video Game.
crytek dropped the ball on that, but i liked it enough to play it, that game was released back when a "bad game" just meant "functional game" but without much soul, nowadays, the standards are so low, that we get MT shit filled with trans bionic niggers and mentally retarded normies, and this suddenly makes ryse seem like a hidden gem
I actually liked it quite a bit. Enough to replay it 2 times. The mp was fun to fuck around in for a while too before the novelty wore off.
I wouldn't mind a more fleshed out sequel or another game set in it's universe
Exactly.
>The Order!
>Gets betrayed and expelled from the order 5 minutes in
>Game ends 50 minutes later
The fuck?
>The mp was fun to fuck around in
Wut it's multiplayer? Elaborate, how does a QTE fest work like that?
Pure KINO
FIRE VOLLEY!!!
DEFENSIVE TESTUDO
FIRE VOLLEY!!!
DEFENSIVE TESTUDO
FIRE VOLLEY!!!
This game is now a hidden gem.
Gameplay was very samey and boring but at least the story was enjoyable once you encountered Boudica.
this is true, western vidya is fucking ded people are starting to appreciate ryse.
The environments are pretty good.
>game about roman legions
>romans start fighting by leaving formation and flailing their swords like undisciplined barbars
boring movie with kinect bullshit
boring movie
I'm playing Ryse on an xbox one s and the visuals still hold up to some contemporary titles on ps4 pro. Im impressed even at the low resolution.
Yeah you could fight other players as a gladiator in a Colosseum
It used the same combat as the SP
Surprisingly fun for a while
>Deepwater Jew
i still remember how niggers were hyping this shit so hard kek
I honestly dont know why people like these cover based third person shooter games
they were kind of a novelty at one point but the horse died as soon as the first Gears of War released. Stuff like Winback and Killswitch felt very unique for their time though.
