I broke a friendship

When I was really young I would get into difficult games getting very anxious, and pressed on the buttons of my genesis controller really hard which caused it to stop working. I realized I need to be more careful from there on and never broke anything.

I used to get hardcore gamer rage, but after I broke my last TV when I punched it and smashed the screen when I was drunk (must have been at least 6/7 years ago now), I realised how retarded and expensive it is and just stopped getting angry almost overnight.
I never get pissed off gaming anymore, a single moment of rage and launching a controller at a TV can set you back several hundred.

was 14 when i threw my xbox 360 remote cause i kept dying in a game. LB was kinda mushy instead of clicky. i was like fuck this why did i do that and havent done any autistic shit like that again.

I once broke a PS2 controller. I can't even remember what I was playing it was so long ago. I think I broke a PS3 controller during that stupid fucking rastafari boss fight in Saint's Row 2. I also broke a 360 controller playing that stupid F2P medieval game I can't remember the name of. It was cartoony and it was like tower defense iirc

When I was a kid I broke my custom PS2 (that allowed me to play pirated games) out of frustration because my GameShark disc kept skipping. The disc only worked 1% of the time which led me to believe I could get it to work completely again.
I also snapped my Tekken 3 disc in half because it kept skipping.

I used to throw my controllers as a teen but then I had to buy a new one when it broke (like 60-80 bucks what the fuck?) and I stopped doing that, now I just grumble and shut off the game and go do something else to calm down.

Not really. The worst I've done is quit a game and then drop my controller on the couch, which it bounced off of and landed on the floor, fucking up one or two of the buttons.

Yeah nobody is going to defend their fits of rage. It's always an impulse and you've got to recognize and grow out of it ASAP because it's harmful not only to your things but to yourself.

There's a guy I played FF14 with that broke 2 keyboards in one boss fight.
What's more amazing is he's married and has kids.

I think the most amazing part is that he has two keyboards because in his subconscious he's aware of this problem, and still breaks the spare one anyway.

I regularly banged my controller and broke a few like 5 or so years ago. Guess I just grew up or some shit because I eventually stopped doing it, still get really tempted when I play fighting games though.
