i remember renting this game when i was a wee lad. those memories are so comfy.
i played it on an emulator not long ago and it just felt like a cheap smb3 clone. why weren't there mcdonald's food items for powerups and mcdonaldland characters as bad guys and bosses?

I play this big on an emulator with save states awhile back, and it took me over 20 tries to get past the double jump ONCE. I still have no idea what the death hitbox is, because it sure as shit doesn't correspond to the nests or the tree.
Many thanks to the based kid that wrote the level select cheat in the back of my manual when I bought it used - I would have never seen the rest of the game otherwise.
