The game was simplified for consoles and it shows. The story builds up to something interesting, then just ends abruptly. The final boss fight is optional for christ's sake.

Whens next Witcher game? The last 3 were all great for me.

the combat in 2 and 3 was clumsy as fuck console trash, and every other gameplay feature, including all of the actual role-playing, was severely streamlined and cut.

I somehow managed to push myself to finish it after a couple months, but it was irredeemable crap.

Actually both of them accomplish exactly that. Fcr2 is 100x better than FCR1 and enhanced targeting goes great with your favorite overhaul mod (ghost mode, fcr3, or no levels). No levels Witcher 3 feels like how the game was meant to be played. It's just so good.

I like tw1 because it lets me use isometric view and mouse control. truly the choice of a pc chad unlike the consolebabby sequels.
