fsa is pretty fun if you play multiplayer.
1 and 2 blow dick. 1 is filled with typical nes era crpytic shit designed to make you go pay for the nintendo help hotline shit or buy nintendo power, and the "exploration" consists of looking around and maybe finding a shop or a gambling minigame. half the hidden rooms are just "bomb random tile in a wall" or "burn this exact bush" which doesnt really make for meaningful discoveries. also level 8 and 9 are so obscurely hidden that nobody would ever come across them without a guide.
2 would be ok if it wasnt for the fact that you lose all your exp on death, making it so that you spend the majority of the game grinding random field enemies next to a town with a healer in it. 2 doesnt have quite as much crpytic shit and at least the boss fights are more interesting, but it is a genuine chore to play
