The censored stuff was actually great when it was done tactfully. It sold the idea that the game was made by a mentally deranged family member, and the censored stuff would have doxxed the guy playing the game. At least it's not just some haunted cartridge or disc of an already existing game. I think what makes Petscop so interesting is the fact all of the assets were made from scratch to look like a game nobody has ever seen before. I think it has gone on a little too long but the first two or three episodes were fantastic if you got into it early on without knowing it was a creepy pasta. It held my interest really tight for at least 10 episodes.

Everyone figured out the names and what everything represented in the first few episodes in like a week tops. Ben Drowned was decent because it was the first vidya creepypasta that put in as much effort into its presentation as it did. Towards the end, Zelda was hardly relevant to the actual ARG at all anyways.

Recent episodes have strongly implied that it was being used as either a method of therapy for someone mentally ill or a pseudo-interrogation.

Even before the girlfriend thing, the Godzilla pasta was starting to get stale. Just entry after entry of "Yeah, this level was really weird and had odd monsters" that went nowhere.
