The social links really fuck up character development for the main party. On paper it's neat working with them to overcome their issues, but then outside the social links they're static so it won't interfere with the social links, and in turn the social links can't go too far otherwise they'll interfere with the character during the main story. P3 only solved this because the male characters didn't have social links until the FeMC route in P3P, and of the female characters Mitsuru and Yukari had major character development linked to the main story anyway, Aigis' social link was limited to the last month of the game, and Fuuka was Fuuka. P6 should either not have social links at all for the playable cast, or make them all automatic or at the very least conditional on main story progression.

I think it's fair to say that "a fleshed out loveable cast of friends" is part of Personas appeal, in which case it's a flaw of the game that none of them ever hang out unless it's with Ren or the whole group. You're just told that they're best friends, not shown it which makes it harder to belive. Depending on the player, these "friends" only see each other like once a week for what is essentially work, and never hang out.

From what I've played so far they're pretty alright, not spectacular as a rhythm game. It's not super challenging, but I haven't gotten the time to play enough to unlock All Night difficulty so I'm hoping it gets harder. The difficulty mods are the only thing but it's just stuff like disappearing notes or speed up notes, not more notes designed for the tracks. Not a humble brag, but I've played my fair share of rhythm games so you might find it a decent bit more challenging if you haven't, idk. I'm just holding out hope for when I unlock All Night.

Outside of that, the character moments are nice and fun. Always great to get more fun stuff with the teams instead of serious business.

And of course, the outfits are nice and music tracks and remixes are all pretty sweet, as you'd expect from a game about persona music. I'd recommend the games if you're a fan of the series. More content with the teams is always a pleasure.
