I can't decide whether to buy on PC for mods and just better performance or buy on Switch for portability (or both if I'm retarded enough). Any second opinions, fellow gamers?
I'm doing PC but I don't game much on the go anymore. I dunno how moddable the game will be but the performance alone is enough for me to make that call.
I really hope they don't play a vocal effect for every single jump, attack, and all the other small things you constantly do throughout the game. I think that's about my only concern.
Cameron Gray
For what it's worth, on their official Reddit they've acknowledged it as a complaint from the demo and claimed they'd tune it.
I think it's both that is frequent and that all of her vocalizations are an 11/10 and just need to be calmed the fuck down.
Matthew Martinez
I want to pull down that dress.
Angel Mitchell
Absolutely not. She is Aradia's wife and remains pure for her and her alone.
Ah. So, if those prizes are items, you can transfer them to NG+? Is that like a minigame in Resident Evil (Leech Hunter, Mercenaries...)?
Mason Murphy
The ones from CoTM probably

If for as long as Ritual of the Night doesn't bomb, it's almost inevitable. They're very interested in making this a franchise. If able they want to make sequels. You can bet this is part of the reason for why they've delayed and spent so much time and money on at the very least attempting to improve the game and its visuals so much. I mean the truth of the matter is that they've most likely already got a lot of their money from the kickstarter, so these improvements look more like future proofing the brand to me.
From what I can find, they haven't confirmed who they are.
I'd personally be surprised if Zangetsu wasn't one of them. He seems very much like the Richter of this game and I expect he'll have a fuckton of traversal options and special moves with a fixed set of equipment in that same way. You can see alot of how he could move being controlled by the player in his boss fight in the demo.
I assume the other will be either Alfred or Gebel since they're both playable in CotM and I could envision unique playstyles for both. Gebel has the novelty of being Miriam's foil and may have stronger shard abilities or some such. Alfred would probably have a more unique style of play though.
Pretty much, you have the main menu of the game and Boss Rush is one of the options, choose which save you use to do it and it saves automatically when you finish it so you can use them in ng+ or whatever place your charachter was during the game.

>pirates all games >Waaaaaa why don't they make games I like anymore
>Can invert the castle at will That's a concern right there. The inverted castle in SotN was a shit.
Ian Parker
I had DS and 3DS, but never played that game. But I guess I can run it in emulator. Thank you for recommendation.
Noah Thomas
> pirates all games I had no intention to buy it anyway so it's okay. And piracy only increases sales btw.
Tyler Fisher
I opted for the Switch version when I backed the game since I figured that in the instance that I'd want it on PC too, the PC versions will drop in price like always. So if the mods are great I can consider getting it on PC too.
Leo Gutierrez
>And piracy only increases sales btw. This isn't true.
I backed at the 150 dollar level within the first month of the campaign and I have yet to open one email that they’ve sent me. I never even bothered to specify which console I wanted my physical copy of the game for. I wonder if that was a bad idea?
Lincoln Russell
It's used more as a puzzle solving element. You literally can invert the castle, fall for a distance, then invert it midair to get unreachable chests, that kind of thing.
I mean, I kinda get what you're saying about SotN but the issue with the inverted castle is that moving on foot is tedious since a lot of the game wasn't adjusted for inverted traversal. In this game, you're not stuck in that mode and it's not a separate area you have to explore, it just lets you reach new areas in the existing castle.
Thomas Peterson
are we sure the retro level wasn't just rolled into Curse? I know the Classic mode is its own thing, but I'm really curious to see how much of this stuff makes it in at launch since that sounds like a lot.
people wonder how a game like this can take 4 years but the content from stretch goals with the classic mode, roguelike mode, and extra characters, if all delivered at quality, practically makes it 3-games in 1. it's almost like expecting to get Ocarina and Majoras in the same cartridge
Hunter Ross
I hope this game turns out ok because I am beginning to feel buyers remorse over it. Though the newest Toejam and Earl gives me hope that it won't suck.
Jaxon Cruz
They haven't said anything to that effect to my knowledge. I agree with what you're saying though and honestly don't expect everything at launch. I imagine some will end up as free DLC down the line, which I'm fine with.
Just go to your survey page, you should still be able to specify what you want. I opted for the physical Steam copy personally, mostly because i wanted the box and backer only content. I'm sure in the end it'll be a box with a download code in it but I'm fine with that.
They were kinda weak in the demo but I think we'll get a lot more variety in the main game and with the loadout function, you can swap between melee and ranged with minimal effort.
So do you think Miriam will get the same shitty ending as Shanoa or Gebel will avoid getting Albus'd since it's obvious he's not the main antagonist?
Jaxson Jones
What can we customize?
Luis Young
They said they wanted to make it a franchise, so I bet they'll both survive.
Daniel Rogers
Well, they plan to make it a franchise but it's not clear if Miriam will remain the protagonist moving forward. The only way I can see Gebel moving on after this game is if the find a cure for the curse, which would imply Miriam can be cured as well, which would remove her power.
I think he'll honestly just succumb to the curse and become this game's Dracula and end up killed at the end. I think Gremory will be his Death and act as a sub-boss. I dunno if they'll go as far as making Gebel a recurring antagonist like Dracula.
Multiple hair styles and colors, dress color, skin color, most accessories and head equipment display on your character and some weapons will have a visible change for you as well (kicking weapons so far.)
Yeah that is ridiculous as fuck. For as long as it doesn't have more bugs and the framerate is at the very least stable, then I'll be happy with the game. But it still doesn't make sense. How ill-optimized is the game? It has to be bad.
Hoping we get some alt that's more of a traditional dress for this look. I think they've said they'd have Pure, Vampire and Succubus outfits or something.
Ryder Hernandez
They'll fuck up something with the switch port. This always happens to switch ports. Get it on PC just to be safe
Joshua Phillips
I hope there's a decent mod scene up, if just for outfits. There's no steam workshop support, is there?
Zachary Richardson
Go finish your own game, Aradia.
Mason Ortiz
I don't think they've said anything about mods to my knowledge. I know some people did texture mods with the demo but yeah, I'd love to see a mod scene crop up for it.
Jeremiah Powell
Part of me is really hoping for a braided ponytail look. With that, the Pure Miriam outfit and making the outer portion of the outfit blue, you'd get pretty close to Aradia's look.
Sebastian Brown
One of the polls asked for more elements people wanted, and mod support was on there. In last place, because most of the people who want this game are on consoles.
Brody Watson
I would have bought the Switch version, but I refuse to do so unless there's a patch that gets it back to 60 FPS like the others.
Ryder Torres
>not getting it on pc for mods Hopefully its decently optimized.
Asher Harris
How much is it going to cost ? 30 bucks? when I can preorder on steam ?
James Cruz
$40. I don't think you can preorder on PC without having backed it yet.
