Absolutely not, I took a semester off of school once (nearly 6 months) and all I did was sit at home, eat junk fool, watch anime, play vidya, and smoke weed. I gained nearly 40 pounds and got super depressed at the feeling of my lack of usefulness, I felt more and more useless every day and felt like I was slowly turning into a vegetable, my back started to hurt from laying in bed so much and I started to care less and less about my personal hygiene, luckily my girlfriend stayed with me but if it was any other girl she probably would’ve left me. Fortunately I’m back at uni now and I’m losing all the weight I gained but those 6 months of doing nothing made me never want to live without purpose again, but in hindsight it was a good thing because now I work super hard to ensure I never end up in that position again

Why is it that you can not eat like shit and take crae of your hygiene at school and not at home? Sounds like some personal shit you need to get together, either that or your young af. As someone who has a gf and a kid and works 40-45 hours a week, Id love to stay home and hang with them and go to gym every day. Would be fantastic

God damn I hate it when people connect shit like oversleeping and junk food to being without a job. Now when I have a job I kinda have to eat junk food every now and then because cooking actually takes time and time is limited when you work unless you want to excessively limit your hobbies.

It doesn’t start out that way, and yes I am young and was going through personal shit. it starts out like a very normal long break and then slowly declines and gets worse and worse, don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with taking breaks, but things will slowly devolve into your entire state getting worse. And think about it you have a kid man, is that really the kind of example you want to set for your kid? Imagine him growing up seeing his father do nothing but sit around and get fat and do nothing all day, and even if you go to the gym there’s still a big amount of physical activity your missing out on by not working. Just work hard and enjoy it op, give your kid a work ethic and sense of purpose, Otherwise your kid will end up a fat slob with no dreams or goals whos parents never taught them how to function in society, just like these guys
