What's the point of playing video games if we're all just going to die in the end?

No one knows when they're going to die, and we might as well use the time we do have alive to give ourselves enjoyable lives. If you have a hobby you can happily and healthily enjoy while also maintaining other aspects of life, you probably won't be asking yourself the question you posted, OP.
Truth be told, there's no objective point to anything, you could argue. Meaning in life is something that's unique to everyone, in that you have to find and make your own meaning tailored to yourself.

It's the journey that matters. The same reason why I don't understand why people get upset about movie spoilers.

To have fun

I won't become united with my husbando in death unless I play all of his games.

Every man dies, but not every man truly lives

Isn't being surprised by a plot point while it's unfolding part of the journey? Some works are improved by the twists and turns the story takes user. Ace Attorney is a good example vidya wise.

How are you surprised by the ends of 99% movies or games? They're almost always predictable.

Isn't there something you want to see or do before you? I want to see someone else find joy in being alive. I was gifted that miracle so I want to pass it on.

it's because the actual context of a scene is more important than its existence. for example, in DGS, i know ahead of time that naruhodou and the crew will go see susato off to japan before she leaves, but even despite the knowledge of this plot point, you couldn't summarize all of the dialogue of this scene. and it is the dialogue that sells it- it is the dialogue that moved me to tears and an immense smile. knowing that captain america will wield the hammer isn't important. it's how that's executed in the work that matters. spoilers frankly enhance my enjoyment of something, because then i'm wondering how it's going to be done before i see it. and usually, how it's done surpasses my expectations.

suppose you go in knowing nothing. in this scenario. you're sort of sensory overloaded, right? in the above example, you're more struck with thoughts of 'holy shit x is happening!!!!' rather than how it is executed. the appreciation of a work comes from execution mostly to me. there's value to being completely surprised by something, but it's so overstated by the public. the fervor over spoilers these days is absolutely absurd.

There’s this great movie called Annie Hall, starring Woody Allen. In the beginning of the movie, Alvy Singer (the character Woody plays) gets a flashback of when he was a kid. Here’s how the scene plays out

He goes to the psychiatrist with his mom and his mom complains that Alvy no longer does his homework
>tell him Alvy
>the universe is expanding
>psychiatrist:the universe is expanding?
>>the universe is all that there is and one day it will all blow up so nothing really matters. Im not gonna my homework
>his mom gets mad at him: what does the universe gotta do with anything? You live in Brooklyn! Brooklyn is NOT expanding!

Dont you understand OP? You live now, so do what you need to do

Having children is a remarkably bad idea

That isn't what I meant. Being born isn't the same as being shown the joy of being alive. It's a necessary component of it, but not what I'm referring to.

Life is an empty container that you choose what to fill with.

Why does my fear of death and go on a whim?

Good point kill yourself now and meet your end because everything is pointless right?

by doing this the people that care about you will be immiserated. your life has value to more than just you. you should consider your actions in this lens. if the potential harm you do to others is of no value to you, then clearly no one can stop you.
