Post your GSP

Post your GSP.

You're not embarrassed by your GSP, are you user?

Attached: Optimized-20190505_222309.jpg (1200x675, 570K)

GSP honestly doesn't mean much, the only difference it makes is whether you're in elites - although even then, you get people cheesing/scumming their way into elites with shit like HP 1 stock ness.

Sounds like you have low GSP

Are you embarrassed with your GSP?

my GSP is higher than op's, not that that's saying much as op's is basically average I think? I'm not sure how it's supposed to work, never seen an explanation and I swear GSP's ranking is actual nonsense

How long until I get to Elite Smash? Does it have to do with my Roster GSP?

>tfw played online for the first time this week and was getting my ass handed to myself so badly that I am ashamed to play online again

I havent touched quickplay since march
>having a sub elite GSP with your main

Attached: 1360621420970.jpg (463x321, 21K)

No it's a set number you have to reach. Pretty sure it's around 4.55 mil

Attached: 20190505_234032.jpg (3024x3024, 3.28M)

not really, but I don't feel like GSP as a system makes any sense. It's the most bizarre ranking system of any online game ever. Kirby isn't even my main
how is your roster gsp so low?
legit question, I actually don't know how that's calculated

Attached: gsp.jpg (555x261, 27K)

The only way to get better is to play people better than you. Nobody ever got good at a fighting game without a rival to grind with

Attached: 1549688295040.jpg (1175x750, 518K)

Imagine having a character with a GSP lower than 4,000,000

everything sub 4.2 is pretty much gay baby jail for 8 year olds and their moms

>tfw you're playing as a sub-4 mil fighter you're not that familiar with and the game decides to match you up to a 4.4mil that knows what they're doing and wrecks your shit
>tfw it matches you to that person again a few matches later
>and again, just to spite you
literally why does the game do this to me?

I'm a 4.6m shitter now but yeah

Attached: H2O.png (1279x269, 486K)

are bemonts easy to cheese or something?
both of you have him on the cusp of elite yet have low roster gsp

Belmonts are very volatile, they kill super fast and they die super fast. Not bad characters in any way but if you cant control your emotions you arent going to get far with them

polarizing matchups IMO. I'm in elite now with like 4.6+ but you get easy wins against common characters like ganondorf. Though if you run into a Pichu you're absolutely fucked.

Do we even know how roster gsp works?

that GSP is pretty weak OP.

also my roster gsp was like 3.9 last time I checked a couple weeks ago, weird how much lower it gets just from not being active

I only have 2.3 million GSP and its been like this since early April. Please tell me what I’m doing wrong Yea Forums, I wanna git gud

do we know how gsp works in general?
does anyone know how gsp works?
no, seriously, I want explanations as it makes no fucking sense from my pov
>Though if you run into a Pichu you're absolutely fucked.
that's true as basically any fighter, a good pichu is a pain to hit

that's interesting, I tend to main G&W and I don't think I've only lost once to a belmont. Then again I've encountered a lot of idiots and keep feeding my bucket

with belmonts its even worse because of how deliberate you have to be with aiming the whip. It's not like swordies where you just swing fairs in an arch because you have to commit to the direction you aim. And that gets harder as the character you fight gets smaller, obviously.

I have like 3.8 mil with K Rool

Fuck GSP. It fucking blows. They should've just used ELO with metal tiers like every other game.

most of my gsps hover around 2-3 mil with a few characters at 4. My mario is at like 700k though cause i keep suiciding trying to go for spikes.

who do you main?
also, don't take gsp too seriously. As is clear from this thread, nobody knows how it even works and it certainly isn't accurate in the slightest from my experience (beaten absolute shitters scumming their way to high gsps before, and similarly had matchups with genuinely skilled players at remarkably low gsp before). Even in elites you get some bizzarro play from people to cheesing their way up with items, HP battles, etc.

The important thing is to keep your cool, keep practicing (do rematches if the fight felt well matched - even if you lose, it's good practice). Also, gsp can go up massively after a short win streak for seemingly no reason at all anyway.

Why they got rid of For Glory, I will never understand.

keep trying user, i've had some really fun games like a 7 game streak DK ditto with some guy but i've also had shit like an elizabeth completely destroying my roy cause i couldn't figure out how to get around the constant landmines and fishing rod.

My highest is like 3.6 mil with Palutena but my lows are all sub-100k because I tilt easily and can't play some characters for shit

He's the only character I've bothered to get into elite

>Try Smash Ultimate online because of that free 12 month sub deal from Amazon
>Completely unplayable because of lag
>Even though I can play other Nintendo games without lag
>Not to mention that my PS4 and PC games have no problem with lag

Why is it so fucking hard to fix Smash's servers? Why are we expected to pay for a service that doesn't work?

I have sheik at sub-100k. I never played her before and have no clue what I'm doing, but for some reason I feel compelled to learn her moveset. Most of my roster is around 3 mil.

>win a match and no one dc's
>still don't gain gsp
>lose a match
>lose gsp
This is every time I play Villager, so he's stuck at 4.3 mil

>servers
it's peer to peer, only servers would be for user data and maybe matchmaking. Lag is due to smash having awful netcode and the matchmaking not really doing its job properly half the time.

Sorry, that's what I meant. Why is it so hard for them to improve their netcode? Surely they saw how bad Brawl's online was and would have thought to improve it by now?

pretty sure Ultimate uses similar netcode that smash 4 had, so all issues affecting smash 4's online are still present if not worse. This was likely done to cut development time/cost and because nintendo's pretty clueless when it comes to online. Kind of a miracle that mariokart online has been fairly good mkds, although splatoon online is fairly mixed (but nowhere near as bad as smash)

Why couldn't they use the Splatoon 2 ranking system? It's so much better.

why couldn't arenas work the way lobbies do in ARMS?
why isn't the ranking more sensible, like in splatoon?
why is the input delay so shit, when other switch games like mariokart and arms have no such issue?
why is the shared content section so poorly designed, when mario maker on wii u had a better search system (and even that was really flawed)...?

Which monitor is that?

bump

I’m working on getting them all into Elite. Haven’t touched the other characters, so my average is low.

I have 80k. I give up on this game.

How? Just mashing buttons will at least take you to 1 mil

I don't mash buttons though. I'm trying to learn spacing and movement and the fundamentals, but I still get completely shit on by everybody.

who do you main?

If he's genuinely trying and at 80k, it has to be Bayonetta.

Screenshotting real life is hard so this probably going to be sideways.

how is your roster gsp higher than your highest fighter gsp? wat

I genuinely have no idea. I don't play anyone other than Corrin. It's been higher than my actual placement since I first started.

>his isnt

Attached: 1496640006603.jpg (250x250, 7K)

I think the reason Nintendo has shitty online is that everywhere I've been to in Japan has godlike internet so it doesn't really matter if it's subpar.

okay I need explanations on how gsp actually works right now
everything I thought I knew has just been shattered

>How is your roster GSP so low?
No idea. The other characters I play with are all around average GSP. I have now idea how Roster GSP works.

Woomy

Dammit where did my pic go

If I was over thirteen and owned a switch I’d be embarrassed

QP is a meme

Where my elite bros at?

Attached: 20190505_233823.jpg (3264x2448, 2.39M)

Found the Australian

Pretty emabrrassed of being a phoneposter tho

mine's in the 4.6m range with zelda, too lazy to take a picture

Same, I actually hit 4 million with K Rool last week, hit a losing streak & i’m Slimming it back in 3.2...

my roster gsp was 4.6 million last I played (2 weeks ago) but not a single one of my characters is above 1 million. I think it really just has to do with how many characters you've played and how often

I got the same 4 million inkling with my 80k dr mario three times in a row

Sitting at about 96k on my main.

I'm pretty garbage at the game, but atelast this far down everyone else I meet is pretty much garbage.

you think his roster gsp is fucked?

Attached: 20190505_225949.jpg (4032x3024, 3.62M)

but what does it mean????

>yeah man give him ganon damage and knockback
>but only if he gets the hilt sweetspot okay?
>*proceeds to make the hilt hitboxes bigger than the sword itself*
>that annoying ass sound effect
I despise everyone that plays roy
Also chrom, but mainly roy

Attached: maxresdefault (14).jpg (1280x720, 151K)

I played half the cast for about ten games each, and have a few "mains" (still new and figuring shit out). I think that has a major weight in it. it only ever seems to go up so maybe the number of games played has a major effect?

Attached: 20190505_230458.jpg (4032x3024, 3.32M)

once you get on my level, then talk to me kid

Attached: get good.png (1200x675, 1.18M)

Just got dedede on elite. Feels good man

Attached: Screenshot_20190506-010915.png (1080x2160, 2.23M)

Do people unironically play this shit competitively?

Don't have a more recent one, add Ryu, Ken and Cloud
Isabelle is around 4.6 Million now

Attached: elite.jpg (3968x2976, 2.9M)

lol baste

It makes more sense in RL than online because the experience is so inconsistent. That said, people are still trying to figure out what kind of game this is and what you can and can't do. Dabuz just won $20,000 with his gay Olimar playstyle. It's not certain yet what this spells for the future of Smash.

I only use 3% of my power

I just climbed to 3.5 with Rool, breh why is this shit harder than it should be? It seems every time i start to sniff 3.8-4.0 I go on a losing streak, sometimes really long ones.

Cope

It’s like 4,550,000 ish with Megaman

Is that what this thread is? Coping? Elaborate.
