Sharing some info on Capcom:
The reason behind the "absence" of DLCs after a month on their recent games was because they're preparing them for a re-release in the next gen such as PS5. RE2R will get a gold edition that includes a rogue-like mode combined with mercenaries mode. DMC5 will get a special edition that includes more content, costumes, and a Vergil campaign. MHW will be getting an "Ultimate" edition which has Iceborne (aka G-rank but called Master Rank in-game). They're gonna be re-released around 2020

As for the fighting game side, nothing popped up other than further support on SFV. No MvC game planned for obvious reasons. They are; however, working on two major projects since 2016, with one of them being worked on by Itsuno's team and the other by Dev1 team. An F2P game will be announced around E3

You see, cheat engine guys said that Vergil's moveset is so narrow (he literally can run only forward, for example) because he was designed for that one fight only. And that working on playable Vergil is a huge amount of work they'd rather leave for Capcom to do.
Try it yourself and you'll know what I'm talking about. He's not even remotely ready for being playable. I wish it wasn't true, but be ready for the worst.

DMC3 and DMC3SE sales are not counted as the same thing, hence why it is deceptively lower than it should be. The original DMC3 suffered from the osmosis caused by DMC2.

I think DMC3 had the best system where you had an insane amount of variety but were limited based on your loadout. Consider something like Coyote-A charged shots; despite having them available at all times when playing as 5 Dane, you almost never use them because there's always something better to do with the endless list of moves you have available at all times, whereas in DMC3 if you were playing with Gunslinger and had Coyote-A equipped you would probably be using charged shots to make the most of your loadout. This the paradoxical nature of having everything available at once; you end up using certain moves *less often* when you have it available at all time than you do when it's access is limited by your loadout.

You only have to look at high level players to see this in action, all the dante foortage blends together and is personalityless because while you can use almost every move at any time, there's a handful of moves that trump all the others, ironically making 5 Dante seem more limited than 3 Dante

Exactly the same I expect from any DMC game, to be honest. The formula is pretty much stablished already, now it just becomes like pokemon, where every new game has a fresh roster (in this case, of 15 to 19 enemies, 3 to 6 weapons, and 5 to 8 bosses).

That's purely down to players refusing to diversify rather than the game mechanics itself.
Every single move in the game has a unique property that can be mused in different ways so if someone is, for instance, always using Kalina Ann instead of Coyote-A, chances are they're not actually looking to use the unique properties of those weapons or don't understand them. and are just using them for their surface level uses.

To reiterate again, this is a problem with the player, not the game.

I preffer to think he didn't turn into the sword literally but that giving it his strength caused him to fade or something, but even if it was confirmed that sparda IS the sword, it would be more believable than the alternative.
