Do you like horror games? If so, start with RE1, or the remake of RE2. RE1 is good, but quite archaic and may not appeal to you. If you like action games, play RE4 and then try the earlier games. I didn't enjoy RE1 when I tried, so I played RE4 and now I'm playing RE5 with a friend and RE2 by myself. I think RE2 is better than 4 or 5, but starting at the beginning of the series was kind of like being dropped in at the deep end for someone who had never played the games before.

Re-release never ever

4
REmake

RE2 Remake then 7

7's great. I love 4 and RE2 remake but I hope they stick with the first person for the next game;

oh nooo

holy shit she has the SMILE Sessions box set

I have an incredible soft spot for the Original RE1. It has an atmosphere that no other RE matched, mainly due to how much empty space and how hostile the mansion feels.

>play re2 re
>save 50 times being compulsion
>beat the game and realize how easy it is
>play again in hardcore mode
>finish the game on 1:20 with 0 saves
Nice "game"

At least now I can go back through with nude claire and minigun everything to a pulp.

BWPS > Smile Sessions. Don't @ me.

>eye contacc
Easiest part, it's talking and maintaining conversation that I can't do.
You can train eye contact by just being a creep on public transport and staring at people until they are the ones that turn away, it's how I trained my ability to maintain it.
Helps in job interviews too.

Easiest way to speak to people is to ask questions. People love to speak about themselves, so just bounce the conversation back to them every so often, and then answer when they send it back to you.

RE HD Remaster tank controls are fucking atrocious

Just started 5 after dropping 0 because i was always limping n shit. I had previously dropped 4 because of the aiming. I just suck at these games.

Nah they're fine. Just takes 15-20 min to get used to if you've never played the games before.

>5 after dropping 4
Hope you have a friend to play with.

>4
A lot easier once you get into it. If you've never played an RE game it can be tough to get used to, but it's not really too hard. You can shoot the regular enemies in the hand and then roundhouse kick them. You can also knife enemies on the ground for easy damage
>5
Really fun with a friend. Shit otherwise.

REmake 2. Claire Redfield is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with.

6 pretty much for action/mercenaries. Maybe not scary but it has the best mobility in a TPS thus far. Rocket knees in vanquish and Max Payne's drunken jump aint got shit on 6's sliding, dodging and rolling.
2 for OG

Remake 2 for survival horror and waifus
RE4 for action horror

Attached: RE2_scratch_healed.jpg (806x750, 145K)

I mean I really guess people like different games in these series for different reasons, but I wanted to play a survival horror game, not a michael bay movie with a zombie coat of paint. I thought 6 was awful.

I was a bandwaggoning faggot hating on 6 for years. I grew up playing the hell out of the OG 2, static camera angle ones, so I know what it's like seeing the series in a specific light, but the series has changed since RE4 and what I liked about the OGs aren't here anymore anyway. I like dumb action shit too and I realized it was silly to hold malice to the game instead of just accepting it for what it actually does well.

REmake
Claire is lovely

Attached: 53599204.jpg (640x640, 48K)

Resident Evil 6 is hands down the best video game of all time.

4 is the only correct response.

Nice answer faggot

>May 2019

my issue though is RE7 and REmake2 show that you can do a modern RE and keep the survival horror while improving on it, I personally think 7 and 2 capture what the magic of the OG's, so I hope they make future installments more like those and veer far far away from things like 6

Anyone who disagrees 5 is the best either has no friends or autistic enough to enjoy shuffling around 2x1 rectangles in a gay attache case.

Playing through RE2MAKE right now and I just got to Ada's section. I love it so far but I hate almost all of the voice acting besides Marvin and Kendo.

It's the atmosphere of the OGs I was more attached to than the overall survival aspect honestly. It's a lot of the reason the first DMC is still my favorite, because it's a clear branch from them. The sheer ambience these games provided through their soundtracks was amazing, though maybe I just played them when I most impressionable.

What's the easiest way to deal with Mr. X? I just encountered him for the first time as Claire and he's pacing back and forth directly outside the save room I'm hiding in. I don't see a way out except to run straight past him. Is there any trick or way to reset his location?

Wait until he goes away. He always does if you wait long enough.

Thanks user!

>People love to speak about themselves
why do people keep saying this? i hate talking about myself because im so pathetic

remake 1. then re3, re2, re2 remake and deadly silence round out the top 5

Guy incessantly asking questions can turn creepy real fast.

That's why you need to reciprocate user. Ask a question, let them answer, and then ask a followup question, or talk about something related. Make sure to put in conversation openers like "oh I did something similar..." as a lead-in for them to ask you questions in return.
Don't you like to talk about the things you're passionate about? Most people will gladly talk about themselves or things they enjoy if you give them the opportunity
