Overwatch started off as a pretty good game. The maps were pretty nice and the cast was balanced aside from a few things. As time went on however, they bloated the game with skins, taunts, lootboxes, maps, and events rather than balancing the heroes and competitive mode. All they had to do was some pretty simple stuff such as
>get rid of lootboxes, basic palette swap skins should be included with each hero, taunts and rare skins locked behind achievements for each character
>balance the game accordingly before adding new heros
>fix comp and matchmaking from the clusterfuck it is
I genuinely did enjoy this game even when I wasn't playing with friends, but after about the first year of playing it had become such a mess that I left.
