why not a farming/harvest moon esque multiplayer game?
one group can stay back and work on the crops and animals, and the other group can go out exploring and fighting in a dungeon to get more tools and loot
Plus some expeditions where your group has to travel to some faraway land and you get to camp at night, cook and even talk to your team during the downtime to relax
