Longsword, most versatile weapon there is,and holy FUCK that Deo Volente skin looks fucking dope.

I have around 3k hours in Chivalry, just under 200 in KCD, and little experience with For Honor (I personally found it fucking awful) plus around 1400 hours in M&B sp and mp and I can say Mordhau has my favourite combat system between all the games, and there's enough extra content that it should last you quite a while. Plus the price point is at a decent level of compromise for me. I know a couple of the devs working on it and I can say for sure this is a passion project that they want to be as good as possible. It has several flaws, but I can almost assure you those are getting ironed out as quickly as possible. plus customization is very nice.

As someone with about enough hours in For Honor I have to disagree with you. The only reason to play For Honor instead of Mordhau is because of it's competetive scene, but even that is shit and high level fights are tedious as fuck.
