All 7 really did good was lay the groundwork for 8 with the interchangeable parts and gliding (Some of the track design was nice too, pic related). The roster was a bit of a mess but I still had tons of fun playing online when it came out.

The VR in this game is really cool, but I kinda wish they didn't cheap out with the VR ships. It would've been cool to see the interiors of all the different ships in the game instead of just a small amount of reskinned stock ships.
