All of the transformations for the original show were pretty crazy. Sucks that the second and third just replaced it for boring green skeleton shit, while the fourth only had a few fun looking sequences but mostly just did the "flash, how he's an alien" bit.

Both get their share of flack. OV was largely hated for being a bit too reference heavy, and in the end pandering to the worst pairing in the franchise (Ben and the native American bitch). While the reboot is largely dumped on for the cheap artstyle and feeling unnecessary to people when there was still plenty of room to work with the original universe.

After Ultimate Alien. However, it's implied that after a certain episode in OV where the universe is rebuilt, that elements of AF and UA aren't quite as canon as they used to be. But it's more like they just used the soft rebooting to justify the changes OV makes for certain events but otherwise doesn't completely dismiss anything from canon.

They pretty much gloss over the events of UAF as though both shows happened, but Ben almost never explicitly talks about any events from them beyond a few name drops probably to keep as many references to them as brief as possible.
