while yes it is that, its different in the fact that you only have a few set weapons to choose from for each level, going from easy to hard. some levels are a breeze with the easy easpons and really fuckin tough on the harder ones. it's more fun than hero modes grind being the exact smae thing over and over again

Honestly, I don't see Splatoon 3 being anything more than just more of the same, with some reworked game modes, a new weapon type or 2, a new game mode, and maybe reworking map updates so that there's maybe 3 maps every rotation instead of just 2. And of course, brand new specials. I don't see them reinventing the wheel quite yet when there's no real need for it, and Splatoon being what it is, I feel like you'd kinda destroy what makes it work so well if you changed it completely, like making it into a battle royale type of thing.
Though speaking of, it'd be cool if there was a special game mode with bigger maps where it was 3 or 4 teams fighting each other.
And I could see maybe, MAYBE letting you choose between 2 weapons on the fly.

I've been thinking recently of how a Splatoon movie could work, and it should be fully CGI, in the same art style as the games. Movie's plot should be a mix between slice of life stuff in Inkopolis, showing Inkling youth and idol culture, with some sports drama stuff on the side, and a more significant Octarian war stuff beneath the surface.

You will need some form of proxy though since they don't ship directly overseas. Personally I use Zenmarket, since they repackage your items for "free", but they take a 3.5% fee when you convert from your currency to yen. You could also try buyee which doesn't take any fees for currency conversion, but you will have to pay them if you want them to repackage your items and surugaya is known to ship things in ridiculously oversized boxes for no reason that may not fit in the limits of the cheapest shipping options. Those are just the two I've used most though.

I hope they fix this in Splat 3. I fucking hated having to level up to 10 again and having to buy all the weapons I already had in the first game again too.
They should let you do placement matches when you first play, where you play something like 10 matches, and the game "decides" what your skill level is, levels you up accordingly, gives you a ton of gold, and allows you to buy a ton of weapons and gear that's appropriate to your level, and lets you play ranked immediately. Those first 8-10 hours or so where I had to start from zero all over again were NOT fun.

I don't know if it's just luck of the draw but sometimes on ranked matches my team will pull off an easy win or at least put up a good fight but ultimately lose, and other times we get just absolutely steamrolled less than a minute into the match. And the latter always seems to happen when I'm close to ranking up only to eventually break the meter. It's pretty frustrating especially I had a recent Tower Control game where one player did nothing but Booyah at the base. We even managed to hold the lead in spite of that but ended up losing in overtime.
Like I don't mind people fucking around during matches, but keep that shit in Turf Wars.

Friend codes aren't the problem. The problems associated with asserting any form of identity on Yea Forums (specifically /ink/, because that's the topic at hand) are these:

I didn't mind the skelly posting. It's the ironic backdrop that soured everything. Ironic humor is used by those who are smart enough to know what's dumb, but too dumb to come up with anything smart.

I wouldn't have minded it if using all the different weapons made all the levels feel like completely new experiences, but it barely did other than the times where you had to resort to bombs for the grapples - which isn't even a main weapon. Or for whenever you completed an entire weapon unlock a set of special gear to make up for it somewhat.

There was constant talk about the game itself throughout the thread, and not just about how cute the characters are. Some of it even touched on those points you say weren't discussed at all. If it's not the talk you want, bring up the conversation and don't just be a fag about it at the end of the thread.
