So my headphones died. Need new ones. Preferably <100, and with interchangeable cable. Any suggestions?

Why not. It's literally 50% of the gaming experience.

Check the wiki, asshole. Anyway, ATH-M50x is the best you’re gonna get at the $100 price point.

thats fine, but dont be salty when this shitty board doesnt help you research for you. also if its for gaming, just get the hyperx cloud 2

Philips SHP95000
$70 on Newegg with a $10 giftcard

best you can possibly get
commit suicide you dumb retarded faggot. m50x is literally just the superior m40x with a bass boost for nigger music. FUCK that shit.

M50x ($146) used to be good value, but they actually became more expensive with growing popularity, and now M40x ($99) are the better suggestion, in some peoples' eyes not only for price but even for sound.

Also Takstar Pro 82 ($86). Don't be scared away by the no-name chink brand, they're built well, sound good and are supremely comfortable. They also form the basis for the Cooler Master MH 751 headset (depicted, mic detachable, also $86).

M50x regularly goes on sale for 99.99. The people who say the 40x is better are morons who don’t know how to turn a dial or change a setting.

To go bed, grandpa!

look like WW2 radio operator headphones

yeah these are pretty based. Unfortunately the on-ear design hurts my head with glasses.

I need to replace my m50s as the leather is cracking and falling off. Can I get those replacement parts at a decent price? If so where? And where would you recommend getting a new pair if not?

>the m50x isn't bad if you use a DSP to reduce the bass
I say again: commit suicide.

You can play around with different pads on Grados, they're all interchangable and the more expensive ones have different, larger pads.

The design is just about that old, I think the '60s, but Grado still make headphones in that basic style with updated drivers and materials, and there's a huge Grado modding scene.

Can you tune away the tiny size and shitty pads too? There are probably at this point hundreds of better alternatives than those shitty normie faggot cans. HD58X jubilees come to mind.

damn, those look dope
