RoR1 was never a zoomy bullet hell type game until you got all of the artifacts and turned on Glass and Funballs. THAT is where your bias is coming from. Remember, the game is only half finished, funballs are in the mix, and we may yet see some serious shit happen in the future. I mean, I know we're so predisposed to thinking "LOL DED GAEM NOT EVEN DONE", but Hopoo hadn't fucked us in the past, give 'em the benefit of the doubt.
