risen is ok, but way too similar to gothic 1/2 (even the quests, story and characters are almost the same). I enjoyed elex more, the jetpack was fun and the sci-fi setting was a novelty.

Berserkers are basically "Classic Gothic" faction and Clerics are Albs-Lite and effectively Technopaladins.

Yeah, Berserkers looks alright and it seems like they do a lot of good with their terraforming plants. Too bad they are pretty autistic about technology. I haven't yet met Clerics, so I can say anything about them.

elex definately does not deliver the gothic experience. it starts out strong but very quickly falls apart. its their most bethesda-like game. decent enough if youre starved for a PB game

Elex is amazing imo and the best thing they put out after gothic 2
Risen 1 is also very good although it suffers from repetitive dungeons in the later parts
Risen 2 was ok but definitely their weakest game I've played so far
